//-------------------------------------------------------// The Death Of Thunder Dash -by BronyGuardian200- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// The Son //-------------------------------------------------------// The Son As Thunder opened the door, rain had already started dripping from him. He was shaking but hadn't really cared about how cold he was. A small little green colt ran up to him. "Hi Daddy!" He exclaimed with a smile, jumping into Thunder's arms. Thunder almost forgot his son's name at that quick moment. He was too busy thinking about what happened with Tia. He looked down at him as he sat on the couch. "Hey Guardian. Sorry I'm back so late, I had to deal with- S-Something..." "What was it?" Guardian asked, curiosity in his eyes. Thunder's heart stopped. He had to think of an excuse but what would it be. I small "ding" went off in his head a few seconds later. "I-I had to deal with some ponies who were messing with me. They were trying to steal my stuff." Thunder lied to Guardian, trying to sound honest. Guardian raised an eyebrow and looked at this father's bruises. "Is that why you have all those things on your body?" He asked, cocking his head to the left. Thunder realized in an instant that he was talking about his bruises. "Yes. These are my bruises from the... Uh... Battle between them and I." He said, finishing off the lie. "Alright!" Guardian chirped trotting away into the house. Thunder looked down at his feet, thinking about nothing except Tia. He felt like it was all his fault. It was his fault for why she left him. Guilt filled his mind and his heart as he sat there. He switched his mind to something else. Memories. Memories of their first meeting. Their dates. Their wedding. All of it had faded away from his brain. He looked down again as his wedding ring. It was nothing to him now. He got up and opened the front door. He pulled his hoof back and threw it forward, sending the ring flying into the dark rain. "YOU MEAN NOTHING TO ME!" He yelled out to the world as he lost sight of the ring in the dark. He slammed the door shut and stomped upstairs, ignoring everything around him. He neighbors yelling at him, Guardian asking if he was okay, and everything else. The only thing that he was focused on was the anger and depression. He walked into his room and threw himself onto his soft bed. He looked up at the ceiling, going into deep thought. He thought about nothing but Tia, guilt, memories, and pain. He looked over to the floor, seeing tons of junk. The main thing he focused on was a long stretch of rope. It was originally used for Tug Of War with Guardian and Tia. Now, it would serve another purpose. A better purpose. He had to deal with something first. He walked downstairs and found Guardian in his room. "G-Guardian." Thunder said while he felt like he was gonna be sick. "Yeah Daddy?" Guardian replied, looking cute as ever. "I-I'm going to take you to Mommy's" He said, getting ready to cry. "Why?" Guardian asked curiously. "Because I think it's better if you live with her. You'll be safer there." Thunder finished off. "Alright Daddy. You know best" Guardian said. It would be painful to go back to Tia's house. Very painful. But it had to be done... Author's Note The second chapter to this story and I hope you liked it. Another 2 or 3 chapters left I believe. I hope you enjoyed! //-------------------------------------------------------// What Must Be Done //-------------------------------------------------------// What Must Be Done Thunder threw the front door open and slammed it shut as he fell onto his couch, crying. He was broken, shattered, shot, everything. It took him about 5 minutes to calm himself. He was now alone, which meant he could finally do what he wanted to do. He started to walk upstairs but then the phone started ringing. He looked down stairs at the phone on the table. He walked back down and looked at it to see who it was. It said it was from Pinkie Pie. He sighed as he picked up the phone with his wing. "H-Hello?.." He asked, waiting for a response. "Hey Thunder! It's me, Pinkie! Well, I heard about what happened but don't worry. We'll throw a big party for you tomorrow to cheer you up!" She chirped through the phone. "That's very nice... But, no thanks. I'm gonna be doing something tonight that needs to be done." Thunder replied to her offer. "Wh-what is it?" She asked, a bit nervous. "I think you should know." Thunder stated, expecting Pinkie to know. Pinkie Pie then gasped through the phone and started to stutter as she spoke. "Y-You can't! Why though?" Pinkie asked, panic in her voice. "I just have to. I'm sorry Pinkie. Don't tell anypony though. Good bye Pinkie." Thunder said as he hung up the phone. "Wait-" Pinkie started to say but was cut off from Thunder hanging up. Thunder started to walk up the stairs again, planning in his mind how he was going to do this. He walked back into his room and eyes the rope. He picked it up and started to tie it. He made a hole big enough for his head at the bottom. He also then made a small hole at the top, at least big enough for a hook to fit through it. He held up the rope and looked to a small hook on the ceiling meant for hanging decorations up. He put the hook through the small hole. He then put the big hole around his head and then on his neck. He stood on his bed, ready to finish it. "Well, I had a good run. We all did. But, something things die. And ponies die with them." Thunder stated. Those were to be his final words. He then stepped off the bed and was constricted by the rope around his neck. He choked and gagged for a few seconds but soon became motionless. That was it. He had done what he wanted. Thunder could see nothing but black. He then saw a while light and he knew what it was. He walked towards it and found many other ponies. He knew they were dead like him. He then saw Princess Celestia walk up to him. This was it. This is where he belongs. In Heaven... Author's Note Well, now just the epilogue to finish off. She watched as Guardian and her new husband played together at the park. They looked like there were having a great time. Tia was about get up and join them when something lightly hit her in the head. It was a paper airplane. She unfolded it and there was writing on it. As she read it,a soft smile came across her face and a tear came to her eye. Dear Tia, I'm glad you're living a great life. I'm living a great "afterlife" up here, if you know what I mean. Yes, I did it on that night. If you're wondering, yes, I am watching over you as you read this letter. I am up in Heaven looking down on you. I still love you though. I always will. Love, Thunder Dash. The End Author's Note Well, this is it. The final chapter. I hope you all enjoyed this story I wrote all by myself. You can criticize it all you want. Thank you for being here with me. https://static.fimfiction.net/images/emoticons/heart.png //-------------------------------------------------------// A Dark Stormy Night //-------------------------------------------------------// Author's Note Hey guys, sorry it's been so long. I've been busy with my YouTube account. If you're going to ask, yes. I am going through relationship problems and decided to start writing this. I might get it done in the next day or two. I really hope you enjoy this! A Dark Stormy Night The rain poured down on Thunder as he walked down the darkened streets of Ponyville. The thunder rumbled and the wind blew hard but he didn't care. It didn't matter to Thunder. Only one thing stayed in his mind. That was the dialogue of the mare he truly loved, Tia. It stuck in his ears like the sound this rings in your ears after a bomb goes off. "I'm sorry but I can't just stay with you forever" She had said. "But what's wrong with me? I can change anyway you want. You don't know what I'll do if you leave me." He replied, tears in his eyes. "I'm sorry." She said as she left him in the cold rain. Those were the last words that came out of her mouth. The sentence that Thunder knew was a lie. A total lie. He knew what he had to do. To make things worst, he was stopped on the side walk by a group of three ponies. "Where do you think you're going?" The first pony asked. "I'm going home to take care of something once and for all.." Thunder replied, not afraid of him. "Well, that's too bad, you might not make it home" The second pony said. At that moment, Thunder was knocked in the back of head. He was then kicked, punched, pushed, shoved, and beaten. The pain didn't do anything to him. Everything was already broken inside. Once they had left him on the cold side walk in the rain, it took him a few minutes to get up. He was bruised with a bloody nose, but it wasn't too bad. He had then started to limp back down the street to his house. It was a run down, old house. He had one problem. His son. He was about 10 years old, but not old enough. He had to think of what to do with him. He would figure that out later. He finally saw it, the old house that haunted him of memories he would never have again. Never... //-------------------------------------------------------// Back To The Old Place //-------------------------------------------------------// Back To The Old Place The rain had finally stopped. Thunder and Guardian were getting ready to take off for Tia's house. Guardian gripped onto Thunder's shoulders as he was then ready to go. "Ready to go little guy?" Thunder asked, his voice cracking a little. "Yeah Daddy." He replied, nodding his head. Thunder then started to raise off of the ground, flapping his wings. They soon started to fly through Ponyville to the one house Thunder didn't want to go to. As they were flying, a song played in Thunder's head. A song called "Cry" by Michael Ortega. It played in his head as he flew through the dark, the wind blowing in his face. He finally caught a glimpse of the house. The lights were on so that meant she was home. He landed softly, trying not to hurt Guardian. He looked through the window carefully and what he saw killed him. Tia was sitting at there dining room table, with another stallion. They were laughing and having fun. Then, she said that words that shot through Thunder's heart like a harpoon. "I love you." She said, looking into the stallion's eyes. The harpoon stayed in Thunder's heart, making it sting with every second going by. He took Guardian off of his back and bundled him up in a blanket he brought from home. He placed Guardian in front of the door. "Take care and listen to your mother" He said. "I will Daddy." Guardian replied. "I love you Guardian" Thunder said with a soft smile. "I love you too Daddy." Guardian said with a small tear in his eye. Thunder then started write on a piece of paper, a tear falling onto the paper. He then laid it gently onto Guardian. He walked up to the door and knocked on it softly. He heard hoof steps approaching the door and he quickly spread his wings. He blasted off into the sky watching as the door opened and Tia walked out. Thunder was then out of sight. Meanwhile, Tia looked down at Guardian. She was confused to why he was here. "Hi Mommy! Daddy said I should live with you." Guardian said. "O-oh. Okay. I'll take care of you." Tia responded. She then noticed the paper and picked it up and slowly began to read it. The paper read: Dear Tia, I know that we're not together anymore and I understand. But, I have something important that I need to do. So, I'm leaving our little Guardian to be with you. What I must do is a priority. Do not try to stop me. You seem happy with that other stallion. Love, Thunder Dash Tia frowned and dropped the paper. "Let's go Guardian." She said as she took him inside. Now, was the time for Thunder to do the thing he should've done a long time ago... Author's Note Another chapter done. The next chapter will be my last chapter. Then, there will be an epilogue to finish the story. I hope you enjoyed this chapter.
