Prologue

“The Spark ignited inside me when I realized that you all… are my friends!”

The Wasteland, such a vast and unforgiving terrain, full of mutants, immorality, and death. Trying to live in the Wasteland, well, it’s survival of the fittest. Death will always be feared, though. It takes ponies like the Stable Dweller to save the ponies who are on their last strand, clinging to dear life for all it may be worth.

When you become the hero, you must realize that you cannot save everypony. You will never be able to save that one in a million. You will always try to make up for who you tried to save, but couldn’t. You will always fail to make it up, as there will be no way to bring back that one life.

The life of a hero is no glorified life, but it a hard life. You will face challenges, gripping them by the throat. You will not be allowed to cower, but face the enemy.

All you must remember is that you can never face any great challenge alone. You must have ponies at your back, making the attempt to risk their life for yours and vice versa. You cannot face a great challenge alone and make it out alive, right? But that is not always the intent…

Friends will let you succeed, you need them to succeed. Just know that you must keep them safe, as they are your family. Never leave family behind, and they will never abandon you.
