Always a Story to Tell: Ebony's backstory
Ever feel like you were different from everyone around you? That you did not fit in because of how you looked or acted? Well that is how I've felt ever since I was a little filly. You see, I was born an alicorn. No I'm not royalty, nor do I believe I have any royal blood in me. I was abandoned in the middle of the Everfree Forest as a young foal. My birth parents probably didn't want me since I was so different from the other ponies.
A small group of zebras had discovered me and they decided to take me in. The eldest female zebra took me in under her care and raised me as if I was one of her own. Once I was a bit older, I would listen to them tell these stories about their adventure. I was entranced by their stories instantly.
Over time, I joined in. I used my magic just to make my stories more life like and that is when my cutie mark appeared. I was elated and so was my adoptive family.
Once I was old enough, I said goodbye to my family and headed off into the wide world of Equastria to tell my stories to all the different kinds of ponies. I would hide my wings under a cloak so no one else would know I was really an alicorn.
I felt happy whenever I finished one of my stories and saw the bright smiles on each ponies' faces. It makes me feel like I'm important, that ponies find value into what I am saying.
But...that all changed..when one of my spells went very..very wrong...
