Prologue

Dipper's POV:

As I searched through the third journal, I finally found what I needed. This was a portal, a strange one that no one that existed had ever been in. Surprised, I looked at Mabel, who smiled warmly at me.

"Do you know what it is yet, ya big dork?" Mabel taunted mischievously, as she annoyingly jammed her finger into my shoulder repeatedly.

"Yeah, I'm pretty sure I do," I retorted happily. "It's a portal. But it's an unexplored portal. No ones ever been in it before, so we don't know where it'll take us, or even if it's dangerous or not!"

But all of a sudden, I felt a painful tug on my arm, and as I turned my head, Mabel rapidly yanked me into the portal.

"MA-YA-YA-YA-BEEEELLLLL!!" I screamed wildly.

I squeezed her hand tighter, she did the same for me. I wanted to just grasp her in my arms because I thought she was scared; but when I turned to her face she was..excited..?
