Chapter One - It begins "unedited"
I was at my second ever convention and this one was much noisier then the last. As I walked around the hall where they had all the stalls and looking at what they had for sale out of the corner of my eye I saw what looked like the merchant from Resident Evil four. For a moment I thought I heard someone tell their friend not to go anywhere near him as he made people disappear with his wears. Curious about this I ignored what some would call common sense and approached the merchant.
“Greetings kid anything I can do for you?” he said in a raspy voice that gave me a feeling he was faking the sound. “Ok first I can tell that rasp in your voice is fake. Second are you the merchant that gives people magic stuff that?”
“…If you know then why are you talking to me?” he inquired the rasp completely gone. I shrugged “Not sure maybe because it sounded interesting or maybe I am just slightly crazy…most likely a bit of both. Anyways do you have something based on the anime Toriko?”
“You are a most interesting kid. Okay tell you what here is a shirt based on Zebras shirt before the first time skip and here is his jacket from afterwards I will even though in this fossilized wolf fang.” He said as he brought the objects out from a backpack he had on the ground next to him. First he brought out a sleeveless dark orange shirt. Next he got out a large fur-trimmed purple coat with white fur followed by an old fang on a string to be used as a necklace.
“Cool how much?” I inquired. “Since you are such an interesting kid this will be on me.” He replied. “Really? Thanks!” I said happily. “No need to thank me kid but before you go I have one thing to say….have fun.” Before I could ask what he meant my vision went white. Next thing I knew I was cold and wet. I opened my eyes a small bit saw the sky but because of how bright the sun was I had to close them. I could still feel some water in my ears but I could still somehow hear what the people close were saying.
“Any clues as to where he came from?” I had the feeling I knew that voice but it wasn’t until the next few voices that I knew where I had heard it. “There wasn’t anything in the lake.” “None of the birds in the area know anything ether.” The first voice belonged to Twilight Sparkle with the next two being Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy… groaning I started to push myself up into a sitting position.
“Hold on there! After a fall like that you shouldn’t be getting up!” That refined and slightly posh voice could only have been Rarity. Ignoring that I still sat up and managed to fully open my eyes but everything was still blurry. As I raised a hand to rub my eyes I could tell something seemed off, even with the blurriness my hand seemed much bigger then it was before.
Once my vision was back to normal I saw that my hand now had what I thought was a tan that made my hand had what at the time I could only think to call a dark brown tan. “What the heck?” Was all I could say in disbelief that was when the heat hit me, I remembered this kind of heat from when I went to Coyote Point to swim. It was the heat of midsummer. As I look at the people around me I was having trouble comprehending what I saw, it was the main six from Friendship is Magic but more humanized. The first one I saw was Twilight as she was standing right in front of me. If I had to guess I would say she was about six feet tall, her hair was down to just past her shoulders her horn parted her bangs in just a way that she didn’t have to worry about getting any in her eyes when it’s brushed and in place. She was wearing a light purple armless sun dress that went down to her knees.
To her left was Fluttershy she was just a little shorter then Twilight, she too was wearing a sundress but this one reminded me of sunflowers just as the sun rose and had sleeves down to her elbows, she also had on a large hat that shielded her from the sun. On Twilights right was Rainbow Dash her hair was in a small pony tail. Rainbow had a dark green tank top with lighter forest green sweat pants.
Getting a little annoyed I asked “If no one is going to offer to help me up can I at least get a little room?” Geez even my voice had changed now much deeper and gruff. The three I could see gave an apologetic look and took a step back to give me a chance to get up. I put one hand on my knee and the other on the ground and pushed myself up so I was standing. When I was at my full height to my shock I was taller than Twilight and the others they only came up to my stomach. From behind me I heard Applejack mutter “Well that’s a nice way to say hello.” I didn’t look behind me but I did respond “Sorry about being a bit of a jerk. This IS very strange for me, but I promise to explain what I mean about that in a moment. Can I get to the lake? I want to take a look at my reflection.” Twilight gave me a slightly curious look, but she did take a step to the left so I could get to the lake without pushing past anyone. “Thanks.” I said.
When I got to the lake my reflection glared back at me but it wasn’t my face looking at me… it was Zebra’s. Now I had slicked back dark purple hair. I was now incredibly muscular and had Zebra’s distinct have ‘Glasgow” smile since a good portion of the left side of my left side of my mouth was missing so the teeth and gums could be seen. I still had my original eye color of hazel. Strangely enough I was wearing the orange shirt I bought from the merchant.
“Uh…are you okay? You have been looking at your reflection for some time.” That could only have been Fluttershy with a voice that soft and kind. Turning my head to the right I looked at her with one eye I saw all Fluttershy looking slightly concerned and for the first time saw Applejack, Rarity and Pinky pie. Applejack was wearing a plane white t-shirt with jean shorts and her iconic hat. Rarity had on a white short sleeved shirt with a light lilac skirt. Like Twilight her horn was in just the right spot to prevent unwanted bangs from getting in the way. Pinkie Pie had a sky blue t-shirt and pink jeans.
“Yeah I am okay, just getting used to my new appearance.” I responded, but before anyone else could say anything two chariots, one gold colored and one onyx colored landed a few yards away. From the gold one came a tall woman in a pure white dress on the sleeves I could see a small glint of gold. From the onyx colored one came another woman who was in a midnight blue dress and on her sleeves seemed to be silver but from this distance I wasn’t sure. The second one was slightly shorter than the first. From what I could tell they both had a slightly grim look on their faces. Something told me this was going to be an interesting talk.

Something told me this was going to be an interesting talk. As the two women approached something happened that made me blink a few times from their backs a glow started and began to grow. When the glow died down wings appeared from their size I could tell they wouldn’t have any problems flying with them. I took a look at the two chariots and saw each was pulled by two winged guards in roman-esk armor. The guards who brought the golden chariot also wore golden armor and had wings similar to the two now walking towards me and the two who brought the other chariot had onyx colored gear and more bat like wings.
The two women stop a few feet away and everyone around me knelt in a bow, while I didn’t bow I did lower my head a bit in respect, noting that I was just a little taller than the one in white. After a few moments the taller one chuckled and said. “Twilight you and your friends don’t need to bow right now. Not after all you have done for me and my sister.” “Sister is right Twilight. For all you have done not just for Celestia and myself but for all of Equestria.” The second person who I knew was Princess Luna said. To this I could only chuckle a bit and when I did Celestia looked right at me and said. “Now then is this the person from your letter?”
“Yes he is. About ten minutes ago Rainbow saw a strange burst of light over this lake and when she came to investigate he was floating on his back in the middle of the lake. He had on a purple coat but we removed it so that it could dry better, its hanging on a branch over there near Spike.” As Twilight said all this she pointed to a tree a short ways off to her right where what looked like a young lanky dragon was lying with his back to the tree. He seemed to be taking a nap but I couldn’t be sure.
Looking back at the princesses I raised my head so they could see my face. Celestia had a slightly horrified look but I also seemed to be mixed with something I couldn’t quite place. Luna had a more thoughtful look. “Let me guess, tall, muscular…ugliest mug she’s seen in a while?” I said. “I wouldn’t say you’re that ugly…but it would be hard to miss you in a crowd.” Luna replied.
“Besides I wouldn’t call you ugly, more like…distinguished.” Rarity commented. “I was joking when I said that.” I deadpanned. At that Rarity got flustered and blushed a little. She was saying something but since she kept tripping over her words I couldn’t quite understand she was trying to say. “It’s fine. Sometimes my sense of humor can be weird.” Before anyone could say anything else everyone’s stomach began growling with mine being the loudest. “You know what why don’t we all go to the palace to get something to eat while we continue this conversation.” Luna said. “How are we going to get to…” I started but before I could finish the princesses had teleported everyone but the guards and the chariots to the castles large dining room.
“…the castle quickly since there are only two chariots.” I finish before looking around for a moment and then looked back at the princesses. “Couldn’t even let me finish my sentence could you?” I said in an annoyed voice. “Nope.” Was all Luna responded. I chuckled and said “. I bet the guards hate it when you two do this.” At that Rainbow, Pinkie, Luna and Applejack chuckled at little bit. “I bet. Celly and my old caretakers hated when we did it when we were kids.” Luna said still chuckling.
“We got in so much trouble every time. Good times.” Celestia said with a look as if remembering a far off time. “It was worth it every time sister.” Luna said with a similar expression on her face. My stomach growled again a bit louder this time when everyone looked at me, to which I just shrugged. “Haven’t had lunch yet today.” Was all I said as an explanation. “Well then I looks like the lunch buffet is ready.” Celestia said while looking at something behind me. When I turned around and saw many different kinds of foods lined up as if this was an all you can eat buffet. “I bet this comes in handy if you have a lot of guests.” I commented while walking over to grab a plate. A few minutes later we were all sitting at a round table with our food. To my surprise Rainbow and Luna had some slices of ham on their plates. Twilight saw the look and said. “I guess you didn’t expect us to eat meat right?”
“Yeah. I expected you guys to be herbivores.” I said while grabbing my own ham sandwich. Taking a bite I looked at my sandwich with shock it tasted amazing. Seeing the look on my face everyone laughed a bit. “What kind of ham is this?!” I asked. “I believe we have Crab-pig this month.” Celestia said before taking a bite of her apple. Before I could respond to that above the table was a flash of white light and a strange creature appeared. His body reminded me of and eastern style dragon, his right hand was more like a lions paw while his left was more akin to a bird’s talon. The right foot reminded me of a saters hoof, his left foot to my surprise reminded me of a Lizardsauru’s foot given it had red scales and sharp spikes around the knee. His tail looked like a green snake with a lion’s mane. On his bad were two wings one bat like and the other was more bird like and was a light blue shade.
“Discord what a…wonderful surprise. What brings you here?” it was obvious to me that Celestia was doing her best to be sincere but I could tell it was strained, I wondered what had happened that made her act like this. “Now Celestia I am here to say hello to our new guest…wait a minute!” After he said this Discord hot right in my face, it felt like he was staring straight into my soul before swiftly flying into the air and summoning confetti. “WE GOT ONE! WE FINALY GOT ONE!” Discord exclaimed with joy. “Got one? What the heck are you talking about?” Twilight asked I could tell that she like Celestia was not that happy with Discord being here.
“Why a Displaced my dear.” Discord said floating down and conjuring a chair for him to sit in. “Displaced?” I asked
