Twilight figured it out. The throne room that's where the Crystal Heart would be! She galloped down the hall leaving spike, behind as her hooves echoed in the crystalline halls. Twilight skidded to a halt when she reached her destination, the throne room. She began to frantically run around looking in every nook and cranny. If this was as serious of a situation, Spike would have laughed upon entering the room. Instead, he gave a quick smile and then continued onward into the room. Twilight then started to use magic to move the thrones and to scan the room. She found nothing. Until she had the idea of using dark magic, that's the magic that Sombra used. So I might trigger some sort of reaction. "He goes nothing," she whispered under her breath, and then focused on all the pain that happened to her, her anger and sadness at her brother's wedding. Then when she focused enough energy she cast her spell and the room instantly turned into grays blacks purples and reds.
"I did it!" screamed sitting on her rump and tapped her hooves together. She was excited to say the least she was going to save the Crystal Empire, even if it was the last thing she did. The was nothing King Sombra could do her friends, family, spike and the list went on. The she looked down to see a spiral staircase, and she couldn't see the bottom. Twilight gulped.
"Well, that was fast, let's go!" Spike said hoping on Twilight's back getting comfortable, and when she stopped moving Twilight picked her up with her magic. "Hey, what are you doing?"
"Spike I'm afraid you're staying here, it's too dangerous for you to go down there and if there are any calamities while I'm sure you'll handle them," Twilight said answering all the baby dragon's questions before he even asked them. She knew spike since he was born, literally. "If I'm not back in an hour have Shining come and look for me."
"All right Twilight but if anything happened to you Twilight I wouldn't know what to do."
" I know spike it won't be long, now go to the girls. I don't want you being alone," Twilight said turning away from the dragon and looking right at the hole in the floor, that she was soon to traverse down. She turned her head around and said to spike," Wish me luck!"
"I will," Spike said as she watched twilight, his mom go down the spiral staircase until she was good ways down he when to go find the mane six. AS soon as he left the throne room, the hole sealed up trapping the pony inside.
"When twilight looked up to see that all light was blocked out she began to panic, then she lights her horn to light up her surroundings, her only goal right now was to find and get the crystal heart back to the crystal ponies. She travels deeper into the darkness. She couldn't fail her test. When she was finished traveling for what felt like hours she finally reached the bottom, there was a single door. She took a few steps forward and then was about to use her magic. It moved now it was behind her? This didn't mak any sense what so ever, She spun around and then used her magic once again and it moved hinder her once more. The was irritating. She wanted to rip the door of it's hinged and then burn the wood. She was in a hurry so she would have to leave out the boring part.
"stay still!" she yelled as she shot it with magic, then she realized that she shot it with dark magic and before she knew it she was in Canterlot. The royal castle to be precise, this was the exact opposite place from where she was supposed to be. This was a trick it had to be. She right through the doors facade and when it noticed it let its magic halt and then fade away. AS the door slowly opened revealing another staircase.
"Ugh, another staircase, then as she looked at it how it was made was that someone could use an antigravity spell and slid all the way to the top. That was a way less time-consuming method of traveling up the stairs. She took some steps forward and the walked up the stairs a bit before performing the spell, as soon as she was done land on her head and then start to slide up the staircase she quickly fixed her position so she was now on her hooves. Before she knew it she was at the top and she hastily removed her spell and landed on her head.
"The heart!" she squealed as she ran up and as soon as she got near the heart, black crystals sprung all around her she was trapped. If she wasn't panicking before she was now, no she was not just panicking but she was terrified. She looked down to the crystal Empire, she hade a perfect spot to gaze at it. then like glass, the shield shattered and rain down on the empire disappearing once in hit the ground, then there was, a wall of smoke encircling the empire and was fast engulfed it. Twilight fainted. She failed the test. Juts like the door told her. Maybe it could see the future. Twilight now walks an unknown path.
When Twilight woke she felt like a train hit her. Well, to state it simply, she had a horrible headache. She pondered what may have caused such a thing? She didn't have the slightest idea. There was no going back to her blissful dreams, because of that blinding light. What was that called again? She couldn't remember, for the life of her. This was troubling, why couldn't she think straight? Also, where was she? He thoughts were strung about and random. She yawned, and then slowly opened here eyes, and waited for them to adjust to the light. The O' so blinding sun, she thought. There it was! That's what it's called. Now to find out where she was.
She slowly sat up in here bed and her eyes scanned the crystalline bedroom. It was fairly simple, only a bed, vanity, and a dresser was inside. Then her eyes focused on the door to her right that must lead to the hallway right? She got up from the bed and then used her magic to grab the handle on the door and peer at what may be on the other side.
Before she even opened the door she leaped back she leaped back inside the room and slammed the door in the face of the pony on the other side. "Was that who I think it was, I hope I'm seeing things," she said remembering the toxic green eyes with purple flames staring right at her. If it was, the pony she thought it was then she better find a way out. He eyes scanned the room once again but this time for an escape, her eye looked at a nearby window, she reached out with her magic opened it was a long way down. There was no escape.
She turned around and saw the stallion leaning on the side of the doorway smirking smugly at her. She felt anger and hatred burn inside of her. "I thought of every way you could have an escape and make sure that you couldn't, you only caught me when I unlocked my door," he said snidely. She warmed up a spell and was just about to launch it when King Sombra grabbed ahold of her mane yanking every wich way causing her to lose concentration. "You'll find that retaliation is a fruitless endeavor."
"What do you want with me?" she questioned rubbing where her mane was painfully yanked while sitting on her rump. She looked up and glared at him, he laughed when he saw fire in her eyes. Wich made Twilight grimace.
"Oh! a stallion can be with a talented beautifully young mare?" Sombra said giving the most realistic smile he could make. Then he stopped leaning on the doorway and walked into where he was right in front of Twilight Sparkle closing the door behind him. Looking down on her she trembled in fear. "Pathetic!"
"Get away from me!" Twilight screamed while scooting away for the King.
"Pathetic! Who's your mentor, littlw" Sombra said glaring down at the mare who was shaking in fear of the king of darkness. "Twilight I command you to answer me!"
"How do you know my name?" Twilight said looking up at the King that was towering above her. No matter how big they may be, or how terrible they always had a weakness. If she was observant enough she might be able to worm her way out of this situation.
"That is beside the point answer me," his voice commanded striking fear into the purple unicorn mare's heart. Sh thought to herself that it was in her best interests to answer the tyrannical king.
"
