The time has come… Equestria has fallen… the future is among us, and we can no longer deny the thought that our world is in great peril. Nothing can save it…

Or so we think…

Crystalite, a tough looking mare who's a guard at The Stable, decides that she no longer wants to live in a world where she has to cower or hide in fear. She wants to survive and strive; she wants to save whatever she can of this broken down world, but it's up to her to take that first step…

Racer, a stallion who seems to have split personalities, has been wandering alone for all of his life, but he wants more than that… he wants to avenge his family…

They come together and now the fate of Equestria, as they know it, is in their hooves…

The Return: Chapter 1

Nothing was going to be the same ever again, not as long as the ponies who were still living in the world had something to do about it, or at least, tried to do. Equestria was burned alive as they tried to escape the catastrophe that the Changelings brought among them. Yes, the Changelings invaded Canterlot Castle again, but this time, they spread across the region, infecting everything that they could, and killing any pony they got their hole-filled hooves on. The ones who got out of the grasp of the dastardly, love-sucking monsters fled to the Stable, a place for them to hide in and live in for the rest of their natural lives. Hundreds of the dead corpses outside the Stable 3 Door were mostly the ponies who desperately tried to get in, but was either killed immediately with a quick blow to the neck by the Changelings fangs, or they either starved to death, or died of thirst. The rest of the corpses were the monsters corpses themselves, who tried to look for a good source of love to feed on, but never succeeded and rot away with all the rest of the rotting corpses. As for the ponies inside, well, they were just as traumatized as any other pony who did not make it inside, nor would they ever. However, the ponies who still felt this trauma would feel it for as long as their heart beat and they were still breathing. It made no sense to them why the Changelings were still alive; Celestia, the once ruler of Equestria, should have gotten rid of them, along with Twilight Sparkle, the now pony princess, a long time ago instead of banishing them to some uncharted wasteland, only for them to find more love and return for even more. They did not like her actions and their hate grew until they went against her and completely felt utter hatred for her, for though it was really not her fault, nor Luna's, they still hated them as much as they did the Changelings.
