Equestria, once the worlds biggest superpower, has fallen. Not to war, or it's monstrous inhabitants, but to an unknown disease. This disease spread through Equestria like a wildfire, infecting almost half of the population. First, the infected ponies coat would fade and fall off, then the ponies skin would start to rot, and finally, the pony would start to lose his or her mind, turning into a vicious, blood thirsty monster. Then, they would spread the virus even further, being able to infect ponies who are immune to the virus on its own, and killing those who are immune all strains of the virus. The princesses were powerless to stop it, and Equestria's military was overran.

This story follows the tale of five survivors, as well as the tale of the fallen and the infected.

For those who don't like reading stories that involve your favorite characters getting killed, especially in the savage manner that this story will depict, I recommend you don't read this story. I don't want people giving me bad reviews just because I kill an element of harmony, a princess, or a fan favorite background character. Because I'm going to be blunt, the majority of them will die or become infected. You have been warned.
