Rotting Applesby Thunder SongChaptersRottenRosyRosy AgainRottingApplejack's DreamRottenSweetie Belle looked at her friend, light yellow skin with a beautiful pinkish-red mane. Her pink bow was a bit tattered, yet still looked pretty. Apple Bloom was still smiling in her sleep. "We'll meet again." Scootaloo whispered. Sweetie Belle gathered flowers and put them around Apple Bloom: in her mane, around her tail, by her sides... As she saw the heart-shaped apple cutie mark, she remembered the moment when they had got their cutie marks, when Scootaloo managed to fly, when Apple Bloom had grown her first tree with no help, and when she herself had managed to sing the highest notes that she had never reached before... She smiled through her tears. Scootaloo remebered what Apple Bloom had said. They'd meet again. No goodbye is forever. She smiled. Her friend liked sayings like that. For the last time, Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle looked at their sleeping friend, Apple Bloom. RosyScootaloo, Sweetie Belle and Apple Bloom woke up, sweating and crying. They all looked at each other suddenly. "I just had a nightmare!" "Same!" "Me too!" They looked at each other, before Apple Bloom asked, "Mine was where you died, Scootaloo." "Mine was where you died, Sweetie Belle," Scootaloo said. "Mine was where you died, Apple Bloom." Said Sweetie Belle, who was shaken. They all looked around at each other, before smiling. "In mine," Sweetie Belle said, "you said that no goodbye is forever. That we'd meet again." "Same!" Exclaimed Apple Bloom. "Me too!" Said Scootaloo. Rosy Again"Ah'm not mucking about!" Murmered Apple Bloom, sadly. "Well, Apple Bloom, ah am your sister. Applejack." "I don't know you!" Apple Bloom said again. "But, but-, but..." Applejack stuttered. Then the idea hit her. The photo album. She had never thought one of those would help somepony who was brainwashed! She fetched the big, brown, leather-bound book. "Come, y'all." She showed the little fillies photos of them playing with each other, photos of them celebrating the Summer Sun festival, photos of them with Twilight, Pinkie, Fluttershy, Rainbow, and Rarity, photos of the Grand Galloping Gala, of when they got their cutie marks, of their school plays, of all of the moments in Apple Bloom's life. She also showed Apple Bloom photos of her with the Apple family, and with herself, Applejack. "You're...you're my sister?" Apple Bloom said, "But what are you called?" Applejack looked down at her little sister, her big peachy eyes, so innocent. She felt so strange; annoyance and sadness and love all mixed together. "You don't...don't remember me?" She said, her voice cracking. "Nuh-uh!" Giggled Apple Bloom. She thought it was a joke. All of those memories had left her. Applejack felt a tear. Apple Bloom was gone. It at least felt like she was gone. Where? Her little sister had left her... "Apple Bloom!" She cried, but Apple Bloom ignored her. "APPLE BLOOM! LISTEN!" "Why should I?" "Becaus- oh well..." "Just leave me alone!" Applejack didn't think. She just ran straight forward, and hugged her sister. Apple Bloom's eyes widened. Recognition. "Huh? What's...happening? Applejack? What's gone on? I don't remember anything...about what just happened! Oh, thank you so much for being my sister!" Applejack smiled. "Thanks for being my sister, too." The trees created a circle of sky that the sun shone through, lighting up below. The sweet, fragrant smell of the flowers drifted around. The grass tickled Apple Bloom, reminding her of when she was younger and she used to play in the fields with Big Mac. A tear trickled down her cheek; she loved him and missed him dearly. Just like Applejack, Granny Smith, Apple Fritter, Apple Tart, Apple Pie, Golden Delicious and all of the rest he was now gone. Soon she would be reunited, though. "Apple Bloom, we just wanted to say...well..." Sobbing, Sweetie Belle trailed off. "Well, thank you for being our friend. Thank you for going on all of the adventures, and eventually getting our cutie marks, all together." She smiled, and although the smile wobbled, the smile in her eyes didn't. Scootaloo then spoke, "We will miss you. Everyone will. Thanks for all of the times we shared." She too smiled softly. Then the Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo sat down around Apple bloom and hugged her. They hugged her for ages, never wanting this moment to end. "Thanks, y'all. One day we'll meet again. No goodbye is forever, my friends. Thank you so much for everything. Goodbye." Apple Bloom spoke, her voice soft, before smiling up at her two friends. She then closed her eyes for the last time. Applejack's DreamApplejack woke up, shaking. sweating, crying. Hastily, she wiped away her tears. She'd just had a nightmare. It was not scary. It was sad. She thought of her family: Big Mac, Granny Smith, Golden Delicious, Apple Fritter, Apple Pie, Apple Tart, Apple Sauce, Apple Pancakes...and Apple Bloom. She then thought of the Cutie Mark Crusaders, who now had their cutie marks, and helped foals to get theirs. Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle, and Scootaloo. She suddenly got up; where they okay? She dashed to Apple Bloom's room, the location of the sleepover, and opened the door. "You okay, AJ?" Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle giggled at Applejack's scared expression. "Ah just had a nightmare! You were...you were..." She trailed off, seeing that they were okay. "Who is she?" Whispered Apple Bloom to her friends. Applejack panicked for a second. The dream was true! Then she saw the empty bowls that had been full of sweets earlier. Sugar. "Stop mucking about, y'all!" An annoyed Applejack said.
