//-------------------------------------------------------// Reincarnation -by Specticboom- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// adaption -old- //-------------------------------------------------------// Author's Note This is my first step on a new type of adventure, also incase if any one is wondering this story is based off of an old friend / classmate. It is her strength and courage that keeps me drawing and writing with joy:fluttercry: https://static.fimfiction.net/images/emoticons/fluttercry.png sadly she died to young may this fan fiction help us to remember those who died from cancer. Also slight inspiration from "first pony view" which if your reading this I would highly suggest you read it because it's just fantastic. also it's edited by my good friend Elder Flame who may or may no appear later in the book, and I hope he finishes the rest soon (death stare) so I can continue my story 1 Rebirth It all started, then ended in a flash. I saw a bright light, but hesitated. I did not want to approach it. I knew what it meant, after all this pain and suffering over this brain cancer. I did NOT want to die just yet. But then I noticed something strange; is that light moving away from me, like it's beckoning for me to follow it? Was this some kind of trap? Or is it trying to take me to a better place, away from this body that was destroyed by all the experimental cures they tried to save me with? Like it did most of the time, my curiosity got the best of me. I was able to catch up with this light just before it got out of sight. I followed it for a while at a distance, I was actually starting to wonder if it knew I was following it. After hours of walking in this dream-like state, I saw the light stop. I got closer. I began to see some sort of humanoid form in the ball of light. Alas, the light radiating off of it was to strong for me to look directly at it. I couldn't seem to get a good view of the creature. It it felt like it wanted me to follow it; for some reason, just seeing it made me want to trust it. I tried to open up my mouth to speak, but nothing came out. I looked down and there was nothing there but a dim light. I started to freak out; I was clueless as to what was happening. The figure seemed to want to comfort me, but I got the impression it knew if it got too close, it would burn my already seemingly dim spirit to nothingness. But just the thought of it comforting me was like a warm bath after coming back inside from a cold winter day. So I straightened myself up (or what seemed like straightening myself up) and moved on, knowing it would be alright in the end. After a seemingly eternity of walking we ended up in this large hall of doors. Each one looked slightly different than the last. Some of them were made out of wood and dirt, some of pure gold, rubber, you name it. There were doors of all types in this compound and I knew, somehow, one of them was mine. The light figure led me to a door decorated with cherry wood, which I find kinda funny because that is my "chosen tree". Then the figure opened the door and it seemed to give me a nod, as if to say, "Everything will be alright". I could feel fresh air coming from the door, a welcome change over the drafty hospitals I have been in for months now. I stepped through the door into the unknown. My whole body was in pain, I was in such pain that I could swear I felt some parts of me hurting that I didn't even know existed. I'm pretty sure I blew my shoulder out of my body, and my legs were so stiff I could hardly move them. I sat there, unable to open my eyes, hoping that someone could find me and get me the help I needed. Then, I thought I heard a voice. It was faint, but differently there. I could tell the voice was getting closer. I think I may have heard another voice along with the first. I could only make out a few words as they approached. I think they said something along the lines of "came from over here" and "some...pony is over there I think." Then I blacked out from the pain. I woke up with a jolt, the kind of jolt you get when your dad yells at you to get up for the fourth time and you realize you are about to miss the bus (I know, we have all been there). I appeared to be in some sort of hospital room. Well, I thought, looks like I'm back here again. I was hoping that I would be in a more joyful place. That must have been a hallucination from the drugs they gave me. I sighed. Although I think there is some sort of device attached to my back that is limiting my movement. It sort of made sense, they don't want their patients rolling out of bed, I guess. After sitting in the room for a moment I started to realize this wasn't the same room I fallen asleep in, or on second thought, got drugged in. For one the ceiling appeared to be lower and the light switches were lower to the ground. As I started pondering this for a while, someone, or something (I heard… hooves?) apparently snuck into the room while I wasn't looking, A masculine voice said "Oh good you are awake" I looked at the source of the voice, then started in surprise. Standing there right in front of me was a pony of sorts. It had a blue, messy and short mane and a silver body with a messy tail, as well with a red cross on its side and sapphire blue eyes. Am I still on those drugs? For a second, I swore there was a look of confusion on its face. But it quickly got over it, it must have thought I was just really easily startled at this point because he (he?) seemed perfectly fine around me. The creature then said: "Sorry if I startled you, but this is the first time you have been awake in four entire days after whatever happened in that meadow. You’re lucky somepony found you when they did, else you would be most certainly be dead" I thought to myself ok it said somepony, so I can assume this is some kind of pony... and my guess as to it being male was supported by its.. wait... VOICE!? At this point I started to think I was going crazy… please just be the drugs... "Are you alright?" he asked "You seem a little worried about something, does it have anything to do with when we found you alone out there?" This is when it hit me. An icy cold shiver went down my spine, my eyes widened and actually started to look around. I realized how I was laying down, rather than the normal on back sleeping pose I normally wake up to. I'm on my side any my body does not feel right. But I could not confirm my suspicions due to the cast around my neck. The pony looked worried, then his eyes widened as if he just forgot to do something. He said, "Oh, yea, you must be worried how you can't move your neck. Sorry, that was to make sure that everything healed right. It's fine now, so let me get that off you. Also, we should probably get you up and moving, besides the minor wing damage you’re just fine!" Wings? The pony took my neck cast off, and I had an unbelievable stiff neck, but I got over that quickly. Under the blanketed area I swore I saw the outline of most of a pony, leading up to me. But I had to be sure. So I opened my mouth to speak, but something didn't seem right. I continued anyways. I asked, "Do you mind if I can ge… get a mirror and take a look at what condition I’m in?" I had a brief stutter, as I realize the voice I'm speaking in is slightly higher than my own. This only heightened my fear. The pony says "sure" and he somehow... hovers... a mirror over in front of me. What I end up looking at is a light green pony, who has long greenish blue hair with the occasional red stripe. I could not recognize myself on any level, save the yellowish red eyes. The eyes still had the strength of my human form. But, this strength was fading fast as I broke into tears. At that moment I thought about all that just happened, and it was all too much. The world around me was beginning to blur. I could hear someone yell something as I blacked out in a watery, sad mess and I lay there wanting nothing more than to go home.
