The Pony and the shadows

Darkness, that was the only thing saw on the ground, a dark void that was consuming the entire city of crystal. "Up go higher! Stay off the ground!" Epic was flying over the dark void that was consuming everything in it's path. "Don't touch it or it will pull you in too! It's the only choice you have!"

"What about civilians?!"

"If there smart they'll follow, just head AWAY from the ground, it can't get you if you don't touch it!" Epic had seen this before, the spell was a powerful trap spell, thus ment that it was vital not to tread on it. Darkened Void, that was the spell. Uses dark magic, and only the caster can revert the effects without wanting for the spell's magic ran out. Sombra, he knew that spell. A King of Darkness. Not a true King, just a stolen title now.

"Sir, how do we expect to escape?!" A golden armoured soldier asked.

"It only effects what it touches, so to escape, we JUMP over it!" Epic replyed. The ponies ceapt going, then jumped... OVER! They made it, the Empire was unobtainable now, but they escaped, that's what matters. Epic searched for Sombra, {he must have escaped that, if I can, I'll get him to bring it all back!}

Celestia and Luna

"Sombra, what have you done?!" Celestia was furious, Sombra used a spell that looked to destroy the Empire, "answer me!"

"Oh, where would be the fun in that? I have secured my victory, you CAN'T win!" Sombra was loving what he did. He won, but Celestia and her sister were still in his way, he couldn't have that.

"Sombra, give up. You can't win, even if you try that spell again." Luna stated. He attacked, Luna just avoided the attack, and sent a blast of magic at him. He blocked it, and returned fire, Celestia struck back, defending her sister, and Luna unleashed a flurry of magic strikes, some hitting others missing or getting blocked. Sombra was strong, yes, but he was weakened from his fight with Epic, and then it hit him {Epic planned this! Oh... That sneaky underhanded devil! I hate him! ... What's a 'hand'?} BANG! Luna struck her target with a volley of strong attacks, Sombra knew he was done for, {so close! Only to be beaten by some princesses and that pony, no. Not a pony, whatever he is, he is no pony. But I WILL NOT LOOSE! NOT NOW NOT EVER! I SHALL RETURN!}

"Hehehe... I can't loose, not while you stand in my way... Hehehe AHAHAHAHAHA!!!"

"All move baddies want there lines back!" An annoyed voice said. Sombra didn't know what happened next, all he knew was he was pinned down by Epic.

"Epic Destroyer Pony, how nice of you to drop in."

"I know what you did, bring it back!" Sombra shook his head. "Dang. I thought you would learn. Princesses, NOW!" Epic jumped back, and the princesses blasted Sombra, turning him into shadows. He was cast away sealed in the ice for 1,000 years.

But that's not the end for our heroes, this is just the beginning, the beginning of the end.

The Castle of the Two Sisters

"Epic, how do you feel?" Luna ask the newly knighted pony.

"Bored all things considered."

"'Tis a time of celebration! Why sit in a corner? You can try sway some mares, and other things that you males do. Why waste time?"

"Because, even if I can do something doesn't mean I should, I saved everyone, yes. But that spell, it will likely hold for at least one thousand years. If I can't stop it, what can the next 'hero' do? Better? Worse? I was tasked with something and I failed. Yet this is the thanks I get for doing something anypony with a heart or sole would do? I feel I don't deserve it. Huh... I have very strong opinions. Heh, that's why I did what I did. Sombra was set in his ways, me in my ways as well. A being of light, and darkness clash, the one that'll bring balance will always win. Even if darkness is stronger, light always finds a way. The Pony of Light, has a ring to it, for me at least. Heh... Well, that's what I'll be and nothing can stop me. Oh I went on a tangent, I do that. Well I should be off." Epic was still in his face-hiding armour and just wanted out. He went to his room jumped on the bed, got his armour off and sleeped until dawn.
