A picnic
Fluttershy sighs happily as she settles in a chair for her lunch. Twilight Sparkle bursts through the door. Fluttershy squeaks in surprise and falls off of her chair.
"Oops! Sorry, Fluttershy!" Twilight exclaims. Her horn glows lavender, the same color of her eyes as she uses her magic to set Fluttershy back on her hooves.
"Twilight? What's wrong?" Fluttershy asks in her sweetly quiet voice.
"Fluttershy, it's just terrible..." Twilight begins.
"What is?"
"Simply awful..."
"Twilight, tell me what happened!" Fluttershy says loudly, tears forming in the corners of her eyes.
"I don't have anyone to have a picnic with!"
Fluttershy sighs in relief. She picks up her favorite red-and-white checkered blanket, as well as some food. Fluttershy puts the items in a basket that Twilight had been carrying. The yellow pegasus smiles at Twilight. Twilight smiles back and walks out the front door.

Twilight walks down the trail that leads to the Everfree forest. Fluttershy slows to a stop.
"Twilight? Are we going into the e-everfree f-forest?" Fluttershy asks, trembling.
"Mm-hmm," Twilight says absentmindedly. Fluttershy rushes to catch up with the purple unicorn.
"B-But we could get lost, or hurt, or worse!"
"Fluttershy, don't be silly. Both of us can fly, and I can teleport us away if trouble comes."
The trembling pink-maned pegasus gulps as the two approach the forest. They walk in.

Twilight spreads out the blanket. Fluttershy lays down and closes her eyes, feeling slightly comforted as the sunlight warms her fur. Twilight sets one of the daisy sandwiches down in front of her. Fluttershy picks it up and nibbles on it.
"This isn't so bad," Fluttershy says quietly. She looks up to see...
nothing.
"Twilight?" Fluttershy says, standing up. She looks around. "Twilight?"
Fluttershy walks a few steps towards the trees. She looks down at the puddle of red she had just stepped in.

Fluttershy wakes up with a shriek. Twilight jumps to her hooves, her horn igniting and charging up a spell.
"What is it? What's wrong?" Twilight asks. She finally looks at Fluttershy. "Oh, Fluttershy."
Fluttershy closes her eyes again as her ears press back against her skull. She sobs in terror.
"T-Twilight, it was awful!"
She opens her eyes again to see Twilight's ears locked forward, her lavender eyes staring into the forest. Fluttershy closes her eyes again. She hears Twilight's hoofsteps fade away. Fluttershy takes a deep breath before opening her eyes.

Fluttershy walks through the forest, following Twilight's tracks. Her ears swivel towards every tiny sound. A rustle of a leaf, every bird flying overhead, every time she accidentally stepped on a branch sent Fluttershy straight to tears. She steps in a sticky red puddle and shudders, moving on. Fluttershy stops as she hears a soft noise. She looks around before silently walking towards the noise. Something white disappears into a cave. Fluttershy walks in, determined to find whatever it was. She stops at a very familiar laugh.
"Little pony, you're MINE!"
