Blackmail's For Babies
Chapter Five
Previous ChapterNext ChapterTwilight waddled out of the bathroom more quickly than she would have liked, forced forward by the two ponies flanking her on each side and with the third of the trio trailing behind them. The hallway was pretty crowded with other schoolfillies, scurrying to their lockers to drop off books before heading to lunch.
“Keep an eye on her,” Trust Fund commented to Obsequity. “Me and Top Line’ll meet you in the cafeteria.”
Words came unbidden to Twilight’s mouth, and she said, “Top Line and I.”
“What?” Trust Fund said, turning an angry glare to Twilight.
“Um…” Twilight said, realizing she should have kept her mouth shut. “Well, it’s ‘Top Line and I’, not ‘Me and Top Line’. You see-”
“Shut up,” Trust Fund said, turning her glare to a nuetral expression as she looked back to Obsequity. “Keep an eye on her, Top Line and I will meet you in the cafeteria. Go straight there, I don’t want her coming up with anything and sneaking off.” Obsequity nodded compliantly, but didn’t comment.
“And remember,” Top Line added, looking at Twilight. “Try anything, your skirt will mysteriously get yanked around your hooves.”
Twilight nodded, glancing around the hallway in hopes that someone had heard Top Line’s comment. It seemed either nobody noticed or cared, though, because everypony continued with their own business.
The two bullies walked off down the hallway, leaving Twilight with Obsequity, standing next to each other awkwardly.
“Um, let’s go, I guess…” Obsequity said, glancing around, looking almost as awkward as Twilight felt.
“I need to get my lunch from my locker,” Twilight said, trying to keep her hind legs from shaking. She was standing more bow-legged than ever, with her back to the wall by the door so that nopony would have a chance at seeing underneath her skirt.
Obsequity hesitated, frowning. “You eat a bag lunch?”
“Yeah.” Nodding, Twilight looked down the hall. “It’s just that way.”
“Trust Fund’ll be pissed if I don’t go straight to the cafeteria, though…” Obsequity said, frowning. “Uh, I’ll, I guess I’ll just get it for you?”
Twilight frowned, though for once it was from confusion, not anger or embarrassment. “Really?”
“Sure, I guess,” Obsequity said, shrugging. “It’s pizza day, I think.”
Twilight brightened at that. Even though she was still full from the enormous portions of pizza she’d had the night before, she could always go for more. “That’s… Really nice, actually,” She said, surprised.
“Well, I mean, it’s just… Sure, yeah, you’re welcome,” Obsequity conceded, shrugging as she turned towards the cafeteria, stopping after a couple steps and looking back over her shoulder. “You coming?”
Twilight paused, shying away and keeping her back to the wall. “Um…” She said. “Well…” She knew that once she started walking, there’d only be so much she could do to keep anypony from noticing. She could only tug her skirt down so far, and there were a lot of prying eyes who might notice her soaked diaper.
“Come on,” Obsequity said. “If we just wait around here, Trust Fund will kill you. And me, too, probably.” That made Twilight take an anxious step forward, though she still wasn’t sure. Frowning, Obsequity added, “You still want your doll back, right?”
Nodding sheepishly, Twilight trotted away from the wall, feeling like everypony was staring at her. Surely they had to notice something was up, right? She felt like a foal, her waddle had to be noticeable, and how come nopony was wrinkling up their nose? They could smell her, right?
“It’s really not that noticeable,” Obsequity commented, as they started moving down the hall. “I mean, unless you, y’know, know.”
“I doubt it,” Twilight said. As much as she could feel the bulk and weight of her diaper, she didn’t know if flashing neon could have made it apparent.
And yet… The other schoolfillies didn’t seem to notice, or else they just didn’t react. If anything, they seemed to notice Twilight’s furious blush and furtive looks at anypony she passed, but that was it.
“Really, don’t worry about it,” Obsequity said again. “Unless somepony was standing right behind you for a while, I doubt they’d, uh…”
They’d arrived at the cafeteria, and she’d noticed the line almost out the door.
“Oh,” she said, frowning. “Right.”
Her blush deepening, Twilight looked around for an alternative, but didn’t see one. “Can I just go wait at a table or something? I don’t want to stand in that line.”
“I don’t think so,” Obsequity said, and Twilight’s heart sank.
This was, of course, probably what the bullies had in mind. They wanted her to be humiliated, and if she had to stand in line to get her lunch, there’d be no way that at least a few other students would notice her soaked diaper.
“Let’s… Just get this over with,” Twilight said, lip trembling a bit. She wasn’t going to cry, that would just draw more attention, but she still felt horrible. She was going to be a laughingstock, she-
“What? No!” Obsequity said. “I meant we could cut in line.”
Twilight blinked. “I- What?”
“Perks of my friends,” the other pony said, walking into the cafeteria. “Just follow me.”
Unsure what else to do, Twilight trailed behind, walking behind Obsequity to the front of the line. At the front there was an orange pony with a red-orange mane that Twilight didn’t recognize. She looked like she was a grade up, though, or at least a little older than Twilight.
Regardless, Obsequity pushed in front of her. “Move it, I’m hungry,” She said. Then, quietly, to Twilight. “Just go in front of me.”
“Hey!” The orange filly protested. “You’re supposed to wait, like everypony else!”
“Yeah, whatever,” Obsequity said, her voice more of a sneer than anything Twilight had heard from her all day. “I’m holding a spot for Trust Fund and Top Line.”
The filly frowned, but notably shrank back. “Whatever,” She said, rolling her eyes.
Obsequity turned back to Twilight, then noticed Twilight was looking at another student, a blue filly two spots behind them, who was staring at Twilight’s skirt with a confused look.
“What’re you looking at?” Obsequity snarled at her, and the filly immediately looked away. Obsequity grabbed a lunch tray, then nudged Twilight to do the same.
The lunch lady apparently didn’t care about the drama, because she just gave them each a slice of pizza and a scoop of mixed veggies. Obsequity had both trays put on her lunch card, and in only a few moments they were trotting towards their table.
Twilight winced at the squish of her diaper when she sat down, but to her surprise she was already getting kind of used to it. Besides, something else was bothering her. “How did you do that?”
“My friends kind of always get their way around here,” Obsequity said, shrugging. “If you ever pulled your muzzle out of a book and looked around, you’d know that.” Then, having a thought, she added, “I guess they’re making sure you know that anyways, though.”
“So… You just have to mention them and anypony will roll over?” Twilight asked.
“Yeah, usually,” Obsequity admitted. “I don’t really like to push anypony around, but you seemed like you could use a little help.”
“Well… Thanks,” Twilight said, unsure how she felt about thanking anypony who had helped blackmail her.
“Really, my friends aren’t as bad as they seem either,” Obsequity continued, shrugging. “I know they seem like jerks, but they’re really not.”
Twilight snorted. “They really are.” She immediately regretted it, worried that she might get in trouble for the comment. “I mean, uh, I guess you know them better.”
Obsequity shrugged a concession, taking a bite of pizza before replying. “Oh, I know they can seem kinda mean, and sometimes they are, but they’re really nice once you get to know them. You know all the new schoolbooks we got this year? That’s ‘cause Trust Fund asked her dad to donate ‘em.”
“That doesn’t make them any better,” Twilight said. “Doing once nice thing doesn’t mean they’re not jerks.”
“They do other stuff, too,” Obsequity said, defensively. “That was just one example. And usually when they are mean, it’s to help somepony else out. Besides, you totally blew off Trust Fund a couple weeks ago, that wasn’t cool either.”
“What?” Twilight asked, frowning.
“It was on a Tuesday, I think?” Obsequity said. “She’d just found out you were here ‘cause you were so good with magic that you impressed Celestia, so she thought she’d ask you for help since- Uh, I mean, she wanted to see if you wanted to hang out, but you totally blew her off!”
Twilight frowned, trying to remember what Obsequity was talking about. She remembered a few weeks ago, somepony had bothered her while she was reading in the library with Smarty Pants, they’d been pestering her for a copy of her class notes, but she couldn’t remember who it was. “I never-”
“You’re in my spot, baby,” Trust Fund sneered, cutting Twilight off before she could finish. “No, don’t get up, you probably left a puddle.”
Snickering, Top Line sat down across the table, next to Obsequity, while Trust Fund sat down right next to Twilight, slamming down two open cartons of milk in front of her.
“Drink ‘em,” Trust Fund said. “And your water, too.”
“What?” Twilight asked.
“Trust Fund says it was hilarious watching you squirm in class this morning,” Top Line said. “I wanted to see what she was talking about. If you’re really lucky, your diaper won’t leak. If not, it’ll be even more hilarious when you wet yourself in class again. Either way, drink up.”
Twilight gulped.
