For Madness, Comes a Price

The next day had came so slowly for the young couple, awakening from their pleasant slumber. Long as their eventful night was, Solitaire was the first up from her slumber seeing Minty holding her by the waist and mumbling softly in his sleep, cuddling her tightly. When she had tried to get up out of bed Minty held onto her tighter "N-nu... Stay in bed with meh" he whimpered in a half dazed sleep.
She smiled and rubbed his head softly, ruffling up his short black and silver mane, noticing his metallic steam-punk wings were on the floor. From a distance they looked as if they were bent on one of the wings and frowned. "Must have took a midnight crash." She sighed and slipped out of Minty's grip, replacing her spot with a stitch plushie. Once she had thought Minty was fine with the plushie she carefully and silently picked up the wings with her magic and went downstairs, into her garage.

There was many various and confusing rooms in her little teapot house, it looked like it held about two stories but in fact the house was about as many stories as Solitaire could think of. It had often confused her guests but the only creature who was not confused about the house was Discord. He rather liked it, reminding him of the chaos he had created here in Ponyville, Solitaire had longed to see why his little chaos was so bad to imprison him in stone not once but twice. She was angry about it but Solitaire refused to show any signs of it, here in Equestria, the two princesses didn't know they were storing a fifth princess in their realm though not all princesses had to be an alicorn to rule a land. They saw alicorns as the most powerful creatures before the Earth ponies, Pegasi or Unicorns. Solitaire in that matter did not care, Only seeing them as a sign of a gift to have all of the attributes of each race of pony. Her mind wavered off for a second as she reached the door of the garage and opened it slowly. She then made her way inside placing the wings on the work bench and turned on the light, she didn't have much skill in mechanics but she had one of the most creative minds when it came to make designs. Her reason for trying to fix his wings is because she wanted to thank him for everything that he had done for her and planned to make this special, her own hooves didn't have to make much of a difference to the earth ponies work but in all respect she looked up to Minty, he had influenced her life and changed it for the better and it was all because of the metallic wings she held in front of her.

Quickly running out of the garage she had rummaged around to find her phone and her green coat, but she realized her clothes had been ripped from the attack she had. "Curses and Cheese!" She hisses and grabbed her cloak which had been washed and headed out towards Rarity's, she had made one of her favorite tea flavors and brought it with her as a thank you gift and some bits to pay for the clothes.
When she had reached the boutique she knocked on the door with three loud taps of her hoof and waited until Rarity had opened the door.
"Why darling, welcome to my boutique. What has made you want to come her at this hour" she smiled softly, letting Solitaire inside.
Solitaire smiled weakly and looked at Rarity before sitting on the boutique couch "I'm sorry to bother your busy scheduled Rarity but I suffered one of my attacks again just a few days ago only this time my clothes had been torn to pieces. My silken scarf managed to be salvaged out of all the things I had... And i was wondering" She paused in the middle her explanation still looking at the white mare before her who had sat in the chair in front of her picking up her sketchpad and pencil with her magic "If you could make me my clothes, just the same ones I wear. Not too flashy and girlish, but I don't mind little changes to the design. I wouldn't mind a green waistcoat or a blue one to go with it as well or some green or blue with black striped socks. I would like a set of white long sleeve shirts, but a green top hat and a blue one too. The same with the coats I wear. I know its much to do but I really cannot stand walking around with nothing on, even with this cloak I feel bare"

Rarity was scribbling down the notes of Solitaires two sets of clothes in her sketch book and smiled softly "Its not much to do since your a small size and the fabric you prefer is not to hard to find. But I would do anything for a friend at the most."
"Your too generous Rarity," Solitaire had complimented her and set down the bag full of her special tea and a bag of bits "This should be enough right? The tea is something i thought you might like to relax yourself and unwind from the stress of your work."
"Darling you really didn't have to make me this, but your tea that you make is exquisite. Minty is right to pester you to make a tea shop." She replied picking up the tea and the bag of bits with care. "Haven't you considered to start one up?"
"Its not that I don't want to Rarity, but I have other things to take care of..." she trailed off beginning to think of Wonderland and how she would manage to get back home when she saw Rarity looking at her in question
"Like what dear? Your quite the card entertainer but you are worth so much more than that, Unless your talking returning home so soon after you got here. It was quite the fright I received when you appeared out of no where with quite the bashing" She had spoken calmly for it was not the first time she talked about it with her.
Solitaire shuffled uncomfortably and smiled weakly "I know i have not been here that long but I miss home. I still do want to stay here but I am torn between the two lands. I will take you to Wonderland and show you how beautiful and crazy the fashion designs are, you can count on that but I need to have a talk with my father. I'm sure you have heard of Discord how surprised he was when he saw me in this land."
"I'm still wondering how you even got here darling. Its not everyday you see a resident of Wonderland yet daughter of the Mad Hatter to appear in Equestria unannounced." Rarity was still scribbling in her sketchbook as she talked with her, being careful with the design she had planned for Solitaires clothes.
"Rarity.. I have something to---"

Solitaire was cut off when Fluttershy had walked into the boutique and saw them. Solitaire looked down at the floor and tried to remain calm when Rarity greeted her and asked her to sit down in the chair.
"Fluttershy, I'm sorry about what happened. I didn't mean to scare or hurt you like that" She apologized quietly as she had sat down next to her.
"Its fine Solitaire, Discord explained how devastated you were for that attack you had and I forgive you. I didn't get hurt though, I am pretty lucky to have discord there when it happened." She replied softly, fluttering her wings a little before speaking again "I'm guessing your getting some new clothes then?"
Solitaire looked up with a soft smile as Rarity had walked in with three cups of Solitaire's special tea and some biscuits. All was quiet when each of them sipped their tea, relaxing the tension between them, though it was mostly Solitaire who had created that atmosphere herself. It was until Rarity had spoken to try and pick up the conversation where they last left off.
"What was it that you wanted to tell me Solitaire?" She asked showing Solitaire the designs of the clothes just to check if she liked them.
Solitaire replied calmly shaking her head "Its nothing important Rarity, But these designs are perfect." She had gotten up placing her cup on the tray "But I must be off if you do not need me for anything. I have to fix something for Minty Since he's been crashing into things with those wings of his" She chuckled remembering how she had first met him as well as hearing some chuckles from the two mares.
"I don't know how he can keep going with those wings he makes, He certainly goes through quite the trouble with them" Fluttershy giggled quietly
"He should have Rainbow Dash teach him how to fly," Rarity answered back happily "Well your clothes will be done within a week Solitaire, please do drop by sometime, you don't get out much,"
"I guess I should go out a little bit more than I should, but it was really nice seeing you and Fluttershy again." She spoke and headed toward the door "Thank you very much for the tea and biscuits, as well as taking some of your time to speak with me."
"It was my pleasure Dear, " Rarity smiled opening the door for her and waving her off.
