How The Cunningham "Stole" Hearth's Warming Eve!
It was a snowy day in Equestria. The animals were getting ready, the ponies and stallions were putting on winter clothing, the fillies were making snow ponies, and the mayor arranged every pony in the Hearth's Warming Eve Activities. Everyone was getting prepared for Herarth's Warming Eve. Even the princesses were coming in Ponyville this time! Everyone loves Hearth's Warming Eve.
"I just love Hearth's Warming Eve!" Derpy commented.
"I know, right? There is snow!" Pinkie agreed.
"Mommy, what was your Hearth's Warming Eve like?" Nyx asked her mother.
"Well, it wasn't the best of all Winter Wrap Ups, but we managed to pull through." Twilight replied.
"Yeah. And that other time for me sad when I had to give up Tank for hibernation." Rainbow Dash stated.
"Okay, everyone. Now that everyone has done heir duties, it's time to celebrate Hearth's Warming Eve." Mayor Mare announced.
Meanwhile, in a steep snowy hill, three fillies were climbing on it.
"This is sure steep. Do we really need to go up here?" Sweetie Belle said.
"Of course. We need to do something for a special boy." Scootaloo replied.
"Who could it be?" Apple Bloom wondered as they reached the top of the mountain. What they saw was a huge door, with some skulls and bones.
"That's the place?" Sweetie Belle stammered. "That can only mean--"
"Oh, no." Apple Bloom said. "It can't be."
"Ha! You're scared of the most dangerous human in existence!" Scootaloo taunted.
However, inside the house, a figure woke up, grumbling. He had a tan skin, a mole on his lip, brown hair, and is 15 years old. He was wearing "Grinch" pajamas, and walked away from his bed. He then looked at the peephole, to see three little fillies that are a unicorn, a Pegasus, and a earth pony.
"Oh, no. It's those three morons that betrayed me. I need to get vengeance." the figure said, as he got a huge balloon.
"Come out, come out!" Scootaloo demanded, as she was bucking the door. She then got knocked out, and saw a huge bear, and it was angry. The three fillies screamed in fear and ran down the mountain, which one of them tripped, causing the other two to stumble, and to form a huge snowball which is rolling towards Ponyville.
"What in tarnation is that?!?" Applejack shouted, pointing a hoof at the falling snowball.
It was too late, as the snowball crashed into Ponyville's center, covering everyone in snow.
"What is the meaning of this?" Mayor Mare demanded.
"George Cunningham tricked us a scam!" Apple Bloom cried.
"Ugh! That human really gets on nerves!" Rainbow Dash complained.
"Mommy, what is this 'George Cunningham' like?" Nyx asked.
"Err, well, I should explain it to you later. Now is not the time to bring all the things he betrayed us." Twilight replied. "Even though George is not our kid anymore, I'm still willing to give him a chance." She thought.
"Hahaha! That is one huge prank I'm hoping to pull on that rainbow-maned moron!" George crowed. He then went on his living room, where he saw his pet dog. It was a Diamond Dog cub. He was harassed by the bigger Diamond Dogs for not helping them get diamonds, and was thrown in a dumpster in Ponyville. George Cunningham later found him, and decided to adopt him as his own pet. He also decided to name him.
"Hey, Rassie. Did ya miss me?" George said, while ruffling his dog's hair. Rassie panted and licked his owner's face, causing him to laugh. "I've decided to prank on three fillies when they came in, and I'm planning to do the same for a rainbow-maned Pegasus."
Rassie heard his stomach growling and barked.
"You're hungry, I suppose? I'll find your food." George said, as he went to the kitchen and opened a cabinet. He found a can of "Meat Hogs" and opened as he lifted it above Rassie's bowl and the food fell in. The dog later ate the food as George went on the top window.
"Bah. Those ponies are gonna celebrate their holiday. I'll stay out of it!" He said.
Nyx trotted to Fluttershy's cottage to see the Mane Six and Spike bundled in front of the fireplace.
"Everyone, I am curious of George's past. What made him this way?" Nyx asked.
Twilight sighed in defeat as she trotted toward her daughter. "Sweetie, it's time to tell of the dramatic tale of George Cunningham.
"BUM, BUM, BUM!" went a piano that Pinkie was banging on as the others glared at her. "Sorry."
"Anyway, it all started years ago when George first arrived in Equestria..." Twilight continued.
The scene ripples into a normal day in Equetsria. A floating basket rocks back and forth as it slowly falls. Nearby, the Mane Six were approaching.
"What is that?" Rainbow asked as she motioned toward the basket. It finally landed in front of the six ponies. What they saw was a five year old kid, frightened.
"Please don't hurt me." the boy whimpered.
The Mane Six looked each other in worry, and Fluttershy trotted in front of the boy.
"It's okay, little one. You are safe with us. What is you name?"
"George Cunningham." the boy stammered.
"My, what a handsome name." Rarity complimented.
"Later, we took him as our kid, greeted him to the princesses, and we all had a cheerful kid. But his biological parents, it was painful to him that he was depressed to talk about it, and we calmed him down. Years later, we all became the happy family he deserves. Until one bad thing happened." Present Twilight said.
"What was it, mommy?" Nyx asked.
"One time in the Crystal Empire, King Sombra returned and had his revenge. We were captured and forced to be his prisoners, we even used the Crystal Heart to stop him, but it needed a mortal being to activate. Suddenly, George saved us by grabbing Sombra by the neck, and touching the Crystal Heart. The monsters were gone, Sombra is now reformed and normal, and we were free. But the sad part was about George. He had a new look, a mole on his lip, and very angry eyebrows. As we tried to approach him, he flew off, breaking our hearts. Now, George has turned to the dark side, and we were relying on Princess Celestia to reform him. But no matter what she did, George always found a way to retaliate. What he seems to be annoyed more about us was that we celebrate Hearth's Warming Eve, which was the same time ponies mock him of being the 'coward' of Equestria."
"Which brings us to the present." Twilight finished.
Nyx dropped her head in shame. She felt bad for George even of what he did.
"I'll be right back." she said, while trotting out.
Nyx decided to walk to the top of a hill to find George Cunningham. It took half-an-hour, but she finally made it. She knocked on the door.
"Mr. George? Open up." she said.
George, inside, was sleeping until he heard the noise. He checked on the peephole, and saw Nyx. He then made the journey to the door, which took him shortly. He opened the door.
"What do you want?" he demanded.
"George, I came here to invite you to Ponyville Hall for Hearth''s Warming Eve." Nyx responded.
"Not interested." George replied.
"But they'll have everyone participating in there."
"How does that apply to me?" George argued.
"You'll be lonely."
"One lonely, always lonely."
"Please go." Nyx pleaded.
"No." George said.
"Pretty please?"
"No."
"They will be riches in there."
This lighted up George. "Hmm, let me think about it. Little filly, you must go back to your family. They must be worried sick."
Nyx was about to open the door, but George stopped her. "Before you go, tell Ponyville that villains are not what they seem to be." He then pulled a lever, which made Nyx fall down.
"Kids these days. They just don't get scared like they used." George commented.
Nyx was yelling "Whee!" as she slid down the slide. When she made into the end point, she encountered Twilight and her friends.
"Okay, everyone. Let the Hearth's Warming Eve events begin." Mayor Mare announced.
George was grumbling all around his house, and the one to witness it was Rassie. He felt annoyed that George would reject an invitation from a filly.
"Rassie, it's not my fault that I had to give up the invite. I had a rough relationship with those ponies. Plus, I only have you as part of my family after my incident and my friends are separated now." George complied.
Rassie then led George to the door, which George just shrugged it off and decided to go out. But before he went, he fell out of the house, showing that Rassie pulled on a lever.
George was already annoyed as he was sliding. He then arrived in Ponyville, just as Rainbow Dash was done showing her tricks. When she was done, she saw the human. However, as the two were ready to fight, Nyx said "George!"
Everyone gasped at the sight of the human, and they got their pitchforks and torches, until a voice shouted "STOP!" They all turned to see Princess Celestia in front of them.
"Celetsia?" George asked.
"George Cunningham?" Celestia asked.
Then all of sudden, they rushed to each other and gave a hug. The ponies cheered as the two embraced feelings.
"Hi, George!" Spike called.
George turned to see the Mane Six approaching them. He then growled, and climbed into a tree.
"Darling, come down from there. We miss you!" Rarity cried.
"Why should I trust you?" George snarled.
"Sugarcube, we are your family." Applejack responded.
"After you had to banish my friends away from this place?" George retorted.
The Mane Six felt bad for George after what they did to him years ago. They decided to make it up for him.
"Look, buddy. We are sorry about all those things that caused to be like this." Rainbow said.
This caused George to sigh. "Well, I could be in your events. After all, it's been months!"
And of course, that made the Mane Six feel better!
"Whoo-hoo! I'll get the cupcakes!" Pinkie said, rushing off.
"George, it is good to have you back." Twilight said.
"Yep, I know. I know." George said.
The food eating contest started off in a flash. Normally, Rainbow or Pinkie would be in first place, but George beat them in five seconds flat. Everypony's jaws went low. Next, the birdhouse building contest was next. Fluttershy just finished building hers, but when George was finished, Fluttershy's eyes were small. It looks like a actual house! After that, they went to light the fireworks. Derpy was in charge of that. But when she was about to light the last big one on fire, she tripped, causing the firework to fly and crash into Sweet Apple Acres. Applejack was in a panic, as she ran back to her burning home. She saw her family inside, huddling together, trying to get away from the fire. Everyone was unsure what to do, until a flash came. They saw a Diamond Dog cub, digging into the farm.
"Who's that?" Scootaloo asked.
"That's my dog, Rassie!" George said. "Go, Rassie, Go!"
Rassie went into the farm and saw Big Mac, Granny Smith, and Apple Bloom. He motioned toward the hole, which the three ponies got inside. However, as they left, burning pieces of driftwood landed near Rassie and a piece of debris crashed in top of Rassie. The three ponies got outside, and Applejack gave them a hug.
"But wait, where's Rassie?" George asked.
They looked at the farm to see it collapse.
Applejack had tears in her eyes and covered her face with her hat while George yelled "RASSIE!!! NO!!!!"
Everyone looked at Applejack and George in sadness. Rainbow Dash flew next to George and gave him something. It was a collar that said "Rassie" and it was burnt with some fur in it. "I'm sorry for your dog, kid."
George cringed at this statement. What George would do next would shock them all.
"It's okay, sugarcube. We'll rebuild the farm altogether, and we'll probably get you another dog." the country mare said, while patting George on the back.
George went ballistic. "YOU ARE ONE CRUDE PONY! I'VE KNOWN I'VE SHOULDN'T HAVE TRUSTED YOU IN THE FIRST PLACE!"
This made Applejack more depressed then ever.
George wasn't done ranting yet. "FOR THE REST OF THE MANE SIX, HERE'S A ANSWER WHAT I THINK OF YOU: I THINK YOU'RE A PROBLEM BECAUSE NONE OF YOU HAVE A COLTFRIEND! SPIKE, JUST MAN UP AND TELL RARITY SHE'S NOT YOUR TYPE! AND FOR THE PRINCESS, GET A LIFE! AND THOSE THREE PUNY DORK CRUSADERS MGHT HAVE FAKE CUTIE MARKS SINCE THEY LOOK SIMILAR!"
George's insult made the ponies cover their mouths with a hoof. Then he came to Derpy. "AND AS FOR YOU, DORKLY, IF IT WERENT FOR THAT STUPID EYESIGHT OF YOURS, THEN NONE OF THIS WOULD HAVE HAPPENED!"
Derpy just flew away, sobbing. Nyx was stunned about George's tantrum. George just ran off, sniffling while kicking some rocks.
George Cunningham cried himself to sleep in his bed. What he was holding was Rassie's burnt collar. First, his human friends were banished from Equestria, now his own pet is dead.
"Grr. I had it with those morons! They took things that are precious to me? Well, two can play at that game!"
George got into his dresser, and searched through all the dressers until he found a costume of Star Swirl the Bearded. He put it on, and went to his engineer room. He had been building things since he left Equestria. He also managed to build a sleigh. He turned it on, got in, opened the base doors, and flew off.
Back at the Friendship Castle, Twilight just tucked in Nyx for bed.
"Mommy, did George really mean to insult us all?" Nyx asked.
"I don't know, sweetie. There's got to be an explanation a out this." Twilight replied, as she trotted out of the room, while Nyx slept. What they didn't notice a huge sleigh landing nearby their castle.
"Maybe I can steal their decorations and leave them a note that the Changelings need food." George suggested as he got off. "This is for you, Rassie."
He first broke in Sugar Cube Corner. Once he got in, he went to the Baby Cakes' room. He stole their binkies and rattles, and also left them some propane. Next, he went to Pinkie's room and planted some stink bombs in her mane. As he got out of Sugar Cube Corner, he then went in to Rarity's boutique. He brought in a bucket of mold and splashed on Rarity's dresses. He then went on to Sweetie Belle's room, and sneaked a note in her pillow. George's next destination was Sweet Apple Acres. Strangely, it was burnt, but it got repaired so quick. He got inside, went to Big Mac's room, and put a whoopee cushion under him. He got into Apple Bloom's room and stole all her bows. George got to Granny Smith, who was snoring on a rocking chair. He placed her an I.O.U and put a funeral next to her. Then he got to Applejack's room, and replaced her hat with a sombrero. He then flew to Rainbow Dash's room, put makeup on her face, applied eyeliner on her eyelashes, and put sliced limes on top of her eyes. He got into Scootaloo's room, and put glasses on her face. He landed back to Ponyville, and went inside Twilight's castle. He threw all of Twilight's books in the nearby dump. He then put a note next to a sleeping Spike. As he was about to leave, a voice squeaked "What are you doing here, Star Swirl?"
George turned to see Nyx staring at her. Then he decided to make up a lie: "I'm here to see the gently and humble ponies here. It's been years since I've came here. And tell Celestia I'm back."
Then George got some grape juice for the filly and sent her to bed. He then got outside and put a huge bomb on the center of Ponyville Hall. He flew back to his home, and held out his ear. He expected to hear screams of terror, complaints, and explosions, but all he heard was the ponies getting together caroling.
"What the heck? What about that mold? The insults? The truths? The bomb?" George asked himself. Then suddenly, he realized that all of this is not worth it. All the happy years in Equestria is bright. Then suddenly, his heart grew big, and he had a affectionate feeling: care. But this was all interrupted, as he heard a ticking source, which was the bomb. George began running back to Ponyville, to stop the bomb before it's too late.
The ponies gathered around Ponyville Hall, unaware of the giant bomb in the center. As George arrived, he could see Nyx going in.
"NYX! NOOOOOOO!!!!" he shouted, as he shoved Nyx and the others out of Ponyville Hall and the doors locked.
"What is the meaning of this?" Princess Luna demanded.
George didn't have to explain, as he closed the windows shut and went to found the bomb. He finally discovered it in a piano, and swallowed it whole. The hall was on fire, and George blasted out of it. He landed in front of Twilight.
"What?!?" Twilight cried.
"Everyone. I'm sorry for all the destruction I've made here. I guess I went overboard after the first fire." George said. Then he went to Princess Celestia and Luna. "Now do your duty." He then crossed his arms in front of him. Celestia was shocked at this display.
After a few seconds, George said "Aren't you are going to abuse me? Put me in a oven? Torture me? Send me to the moon?"
Celestia later responded "It is alright, George Cunningham. Due to your apologies, we have forgiven you."
Nyx, the Mane Six, and Spike rushed to George and gave him a hug.
"George. I don't know what to say." Twilight said.
"Well, sometimes cold-hearted people like me have reforms, do they?"
"Buddy, it was cool that you saved us from being burnt in that fire." Rainbow complimented.
"Well, that can prove I care more for you all than myself." George said.
"Darling, a brave boy like you shouldn't endure that explosion!" Rarity said.
"It was worth it to keep all of you safe." George replied.
"Looks like Georgie deserves a party after fixing his mistakes." Pinkie encouraged.
"I agree. But after all I've done to you as betrayal?"
"We forgive ya on that."
"And about those insults, we knew it was all, you little devil." Twilight and Spike teased.
This made George blushed in happiness as Nyx hugged him.
Later, as George got together with everyone, they sang one final song.
"I'll never forget you, Rassie. You were a good dog." George thought.
