Friends Or Forever

"It was the beginning of November the birds were singing, well sort of, and the sun's beams slowly but brightly reflected against the windows of Ponyville's houses. The rain from the previous night fell in drops from rustling trees, shaking in the strong November winds. Everyone was happy for the time of November the time to relax and enjoy the final month until Hearth's Warming Eve at least that's what everyone expected but that is sadly not what came to be, you see what actually happened was a moment that will go down in history as the most difficult choice ever. Now we're not talking about when you have to choose from chocolate cake and fudge cake or when you can risk staying with mum and maybe get pulled into cooking (Spoiler Alert) it's boring or go with dad and maybe have a fun time and als- wait why am I even bringing the worst examples this story is meant to be serious dammit I....um...just grrr *huff* just get to the story in three, two, one roll it".

Twilight sat comfortably on her fluffy bed as she read the new instalment of Daring Do when she heard a rough banging noise on her wooden door she opened it to see a rather tired out mail man hand her a package after it had nearly been ruined by sweat drops, anyway she took the box and placed it before her chair for her to open it later. So she once again trotted back to her bed and went back to reading until she was interrupted by a flash and explosion that stunned her. she peered over to see a scroll floating with the help of an unusual green aura allowing it to levitate. She cautiously approached it and read it carefully she grabbed her drink and took a large sip read the other half of the scroll and then stared hard and the words in clear ink and her mug dropped and smashed into the ground as she went outside took in a deep breath looked at Canterlot in the distance and sighed.

"Open the gates Miss Twilight Sparkle is here" Ordered the guard as the Canterlot gates smashed open she entered the castle with hesitation she saw a glum Celestia head down muttering.

"Um Princess Celestia are you okay" Her head sprang up and a fake smile came upon her face.

"Oh hello Twilight I...well we have something to talk about"

Just then The other Alicorn Princesses entered.

"What is this about Celestia tell me please" She flinched slightly before speaking.

"We have had a message from another world they request you and it requires you to make a choice and..wait no no I can't let you do this. You'll never take her Chromo!!" Twilight stared at her with a puzzled look.

"Who's Chromo and what are you taking about nothing's gonna happen"

"No Twilight you don't understand they will-" She was cut off by a deep voice.

"No Celestia you do know immortality is not a toy ha ha ha"

"NOOOOO!" Twilight was sucked up into the sky before she was no where to be seen all that was left was crown that lay on the ground.

Twilight after what felt like an eternity fell onto a hard surface as she regained control of her body she looked up and saw a red roof about thirty metres above her head. She then sat up to see a horned creature in armour sitting on a throne of platinum plates. she was at first disturbed by this sudden warp into a different reality.

"Ah you finally got here I wondered when you would we have so much to discuss" He gave a silent chuckle and stood up.

"H-how did I get here" She said rubbing her head still stunned from her landing.

"That does not need to be answered I am going to give you a choice a choice you must complete.

The conditions are it will take one of the two things you hold dear" Twilight stood clearly intimidated.

"Wha-what do I have to choose from?" He gave a evil smile.

"Friends or Forever" He laughed uncontrollably as Twilight froze her eyes not blinking her heart had stopped she had stopped breathing everything around her starting closing in her life her path her friends all of them circled he round and round in her vision until she collapsed. Twilight woke up suddenly with a loud breath and quickly scanned her surroundings all she saw was a clipboard with two check boxes and two options Friends or forever she screamed the two words ripping her mind in half pulling at her hair. One side says forever the other friends she knew she should make the obvious choice but her past, her future everything would change it didn't make sense.

"Now let me ease you child and tell you something. If you choose friends you keep your path of social life and love but you lose the chance to live forever and make new friends along history, but that's it you don't want to abandon friends you can't make new ones you just keep your old ones, you can't do that you have to pick forever. But if you do that you lose your life your path the choices that brought you to this very moment what about those choices like the fact that helping those specific people is what gave you immortality so letting them pass on is not your choice. You want to live and die with them your own way to be happy but I'm sorry it just can't be that way so really there is no answer to this choice your actions have brought you to this very moment and it's your actions that get you out of it so just let YOUR path steer YOUR life. Ah. So? you can't give either can you hmph pathetic this is what happens when you leave" He then showed her a small vision Twilight in a room with memorial statues and windows as her future self sat there with despair.

"you've showed me that outcome so I guess I can't save that outcome but I can sure as hell save this one" She leapt towards the vision as her body went through the vision transporting her soul into the body of her future self.

"No wait!" But it was too late Twilight as her future self cast a powerful spell as she sang an old song her friends sang at a play when they were fillies her power fuming into one big ball of energy before her high note blast the ground she cast another energy ball and it also imploded on a high note and finally she flew up in the air and finished the song as the windows shattered and the statues crumbled her wings dissolved but not before she heard the sound of her friends voices again they walked out of the massive room.

"Girls we're the mane six we were connected from our filly-hood and that connection will never be lost no matter what. We're the mane six forever and we're friends"
