//-------------------------------------------------------// Rogue Life -by Moon Bright the Bat Pony- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1       A tall, white, and majestic alicorn walked through the halls of the Canterlot Castle. The halls were empty due to the nighttime. Her golden hoof shoes clomped against the white and purple tiles. She scanned her surroundings; white halls with dark chocolate like doors, every now and then, there was a window with a golden and purple rim.      The white mare came to a stop at a blue door with a white moon on it. She knocked. No answer. She knocked again. Once again, no answer. Luna hasnt been spotted by any pony for a year now, yet the moon still raises. How is that? the mare thought.     "Luna?" she said. There was still no answer.     The white mare opened the door with her magic. The door slowly slid open. It creaks echoed through the empty halls. She walked into the room and searched for her sister. The bed was destroyed, the cabinet was destroyed, and about everything else was destroyed in Luna's room. The only thing that wasn't destroyed was a white desk. On the desk was a letter to her. The letter said: Dear Sister Celestia, By the time you read this I will already be out of Equestria. Don't bother looking for me because I won't be anywhere you think. If you want to know where I am, I am at Red Stone, a place full of humans. I have left there so I can have some alone time for the rest of my life. I choose this because I have been told by others that I am unworthy to be a co-ruler. You may think that this is a dumb reason, but there are also other things going on, Sister. Your Sister, Luna       Celestia gasped.      "GUARDS!!!!!!"     In the throne room of the castle, Celestia sat on her throne while sweat ran down her white fur. She glanced around nervously until six ponies walked in. The ponies were Pinkie Pie, AppleJack, Rainbow Dash, Twilight Sparkle, Fluttershy, and Rarity.     "We came as fast we could Princess! What's the problem?" Twillight asked.     "It's my sister. Luna is missing!" Celestia cried.    "Hasn't she been missing for about a year and a half, Princess?" Rainbow Dash asked with a tilt of her head. "Why are you now acting terribly worried?"    "I have always been worried for my sister, but I know she can handle herself. If anything she could possibly turn back into Nightmare Moon and take care of any problems.... But that would cause a bigger problem for us... Nevermind, I have found a clue to why she has gone missing, but the clue is devastating," Celestia replied.      Rarity fainted and almost hit the hard, cold ground, but AppleJack was able to catch her.       "Do you know where she is?" AppleJack asked and found the answer when Celestia nodded.        "She went the Red Stone, where humans are located. Most humans are good, but the ones in Red Stone are rude and there rogues, loners, and thieves," Celestia said. "I am sending you there to retrieve Luna and return her. Twillight will have a teleportation spell to teleport all of you there. I will trust you that you will bring her back safely."     A piece of paper held by a yellow aurora appeared in front of Twillight. She grabbed it with her magic and opened it up, it was a hard spell to concur, but Twilight was determined to find Luna, even if it meant draining most of her magic.    "Why can't Twilight just teleport us all there?" Pinkie asked. Her head tilted in a dog like fashion.     "I tried to go there myself, but it seems that Luna has made a spell to keep anyone from using a normal teleportation spell. That is why I created the spell I gave to Twilight. Little does Luna know that I am able to always find a way to reach her" Celestia said. A small smirk graced her face, but it soon faded.     "Ready girls?" Twilight asked her friends. They all nodded in response. She looked up at her former mentor who gave her a nod, telling her to do it.     Twillight's horn sparked a little until it was fully glowing. The spell was draining every bit of energy from her, so she had to go fast. In a blink of an eye, they disappeared.     The Captain of the Rogues stared at the moon through his glass window. He was in a cave like structure that was hidden in a moutain. He sighed. His entire body was covered by brown clothing and his head was covered by a brown hood that covered most of his face. The parts that weren't covered was hidden in shadows. The hood had a long cape attached to it. His hands were covered with dark brown leather gloves that looked like they didn't fit him, his feet were covered with leather shoes, and at his sides were two daggers.      "I'm sorry," he whispered, unaware that someone was behind him.      "Sorry for what Master?"      The Captain turned his head to his tall human assistant. His assistant was a white man who had a small black beard at the tip of his chin. His hair was held up by a bandana, but the back of his head had a small pony tail. His right eyes was covered by an eye patch. The rest of his body was covered with long black trench coat like clothing, his left arm was metal which had some scratches on it, and his legs were covered with black leggings and brown leather straps.      "You should know that it's rude to easy drop, Jack," the Captain said.      "You should know that it's weird to talk to yourself, Lunar," Jack said mockingly.     "Okay, you caught me. I was talking to myself." I should of told them a different name... Maybe it wouldn't of remind me of my past..      "About what Master?"       "My past. Now that I told you, what do you want?" Lunar demanded.       "Would you like to eat with us or eat in your quarters?" Jack asked, hoping that his captain would finally join his men.       "My quarters."     Jack walked away as Lunar stared through the window again. A bright flash of pinkish purple came from a nearby village. Lunar began to panic. Oh no! They're looking for me!!!   "Jack!" he shouted.   "Master?" Jack raced to Lunar's side. "What is it?"    "This may be insane, but there are colorful ponies that are going to look for me. There is one white unicorn, a purple unicorn with wings, a bright yellow Pegasus, a cyan Pegasus, an orange pony, and a pink pony with a really crazy mane!" Lunar grabbed Jack's shirt. "If you find them, take them to me, but do not harm them! If they are to capture me and take me away, I will never return! Ever!"      "Ok Lunar, I think you are going crazy," Jack stated.      Lunar pulled Jack closer. "This is the real world and if you don't do as I say, then you will be eliminated." Jack gulped and nodded quickly. He then raced off to the rocky kitchen.     "I hate you Celestia," Lunar mumbled to himself. "I hate you and everyone of those Elements of Harmony Bearers..."     "Something is wrong defiantly with Master!" Jack said. "Why did we even agree on having him as our captain?! He's a mad man!"     "Why?" a voice replied. The voice came from a strong, black man who was bald. He had no shirt which revealed his six pack. He wore grey shorts that went to his knees and were full of holes. His feet were covered by black leather running shoes. His face had a long scar across his upper lip.     "Don't you see it Ross? His skin is blue, he can't walk correctly, his hands always glow turquoise when he uses them, he always tries to hide himself under his clothing, and he is always talking to himself!" Jack explained.    Ross sighed. "Did you tell the others?"    "No. If I ever told them they would report me and Master would have my head," Jack said. "You're the only one I can trust."   "And you said that Master said stuff about ponies?"   "Yes!"   "Well. We should go look for those ponies then," Ross said. He got up from the hand made wooden table in the kitchen cave and walked to the entrance of their hideout. "You comin'?"   Jack sighed and walked away from the table too. "I guess so." //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2      The village was very busy with traders and sellers. Each house looked the same. In fact, the houses were just large tan or brown, rugged tents with tables full of goods on them.     People roamed the streets, looking for something to buy or trade, but Jack and Ross were actually looking for colorful ponies. Their master had told them to, but they thought that their master was going crazy.     "Do you really think that Master is crazy?" Ross asked.     Jack nodded extremely fast. "I don't just think he is crazy, I think he could be an alien!" People surrounding them slowly backed away.    "Just keep quiet about it," Ross sighed.    He looked up at Jack, Jack was the tallest member of their team, he was even taller than Lunar and Lunar is tall. His tallness was always getting in his way. He would hit his head on the ceiling of things and he was always called rude stuff like "Fifty Feet tall" or "Mountain".    "Hey, are those the ponies boss was talking about?" Ross pointed to a couple of ponies that were colorful and some had wings.    "I-I think so."    "We're never going to find her in like this!" Rainbow Dash huffed.     "I am sure Luna is around here somewhere," Rarity said.    In the middle of the the large crowd of tents, were the Elements of Harmony bearers. They had been looking for Luna all night and all morning.    Some of the tents they passed were selling foods such as bread, cake, green beans, and even meats, which left lovely aromas. Pinkie standed on AppleJacks back and sniffed the air like a dog until her belly signaled that it was time to eat.   "Hey, when are we going to eat?" she whined.   "In a bit Sugarcube, but for now, can ya get off my back?" AppleJack asked.    Pinkie nodded and hopped off AJ's back.     "Well, well, well, well. Looks like we got some ponies for me to sell or trade for," a ragged and nasty voice said from behind them..    The ponies turned around to see a small, fat man with lots of rags on him. His had a large and bushy mustache which he was playing with. By his side where two bulky men with only matching brown shorts that were similar to Ross's. They both wore a pokerface that only meant that they were helping for money. The men grabbed the ponies and tied them up with ropes. Both AppleJack and Rainbow Dash tried to defend theirselves, but were soon over powered.    "Take 'em to the shop, boys," the fat man commanded, his words echoing in Apple Jack's head.   The ponies were pulled to a large tent that stood out from the others. Unlike the other tents, this tent was black and wasn't rugged.   The fat man grabbed a wooden stool from inside the large tent and stood on it. "GET YOUR PONIES HERE! GET YOUR PONIES HERE! THEY'RE COLORFUL AND HAVE WINGS" he yelled out to people that were passing his shop. "Well... Some of them have wings.." He murmured.   Fluttershy sniffed and began to cry a little. "Are we going to be s-separated and never find L-Luna?" she asked. Her face was already full of tears.   "Not on my watch!" AppleJack yelled. AppleJack leaped at the nearest tough and large man that held them and wrestled him. She bit him and bucked him with her back hooves. He tried to escape, but he was now the one being over overpowered.    "A little help!" he yelled to the other man who looked almost identical to him.    The other man was under the shade of the tent, relaxing until he saw his buddy being attacked. He came to the other large man's rescue, leaving AppleJack in more ropes and her mouth tied shut.    "No more escaping for you little pony!" the man who was attacked yelled at AppleJack like a mad man. She snorted in response.    "I guess we are going to be separated Darling," Rarity said. She looked at Fluttershy and Pinkie. Pinkie had joined Fluttershy to cry in the middle of the epic fight between Apple Jack and the two men.    Apple Jack walked up to them and hugged them. "Hmm mm mm hm," she reassured.    "I DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU SAID BECAUSE YOUR MOUTH IS TIED SHUT, BUT I AM GOING TO THINK YOU SAID SOMETHING ABOUT HOW WE ARE GOING TO STICK TOGETHER NO MATTER WHAT!" Pinkie said through choked sobs. AppleJack nodded.    "Indeed you are," a new voice said. The ponies turned their heads to two new men, one very tall and light skinned man, the other very strong and dark man.     "How much?" the tall man asked the fat man, already holding a bag of coins.     "Thirty coins," the fat man said smoothly, he was met with the bag of money flying his way.    The strong man walked to the large men and grabbed the ropes to the ponies, smiling. He pulled the ropes lightly, so all the ponies can move with him. Once they were all following him, he lead them to the tall man.    "Let's go," he said. The tall man nodded and they all walked away from the small but fat man.     "Take off their ropes," the tall man commanded once they were outside of the village and on a large grass field. The strong man did as told without saying a word.     Once AppleJack's ropes were off, she leaped at the tall man, baring her teeth like a wild animal. The tall man was barely able to escape, but luckily he was able to side step out of the way.     "Don't worry! We are not going to make you work for us. We are just going to take you to our Master. Well, I think he won't make you work for us," the tall man reassured. AppleJack stopped right as she was about to attack again."Where are my manners?" He asked. "My name is Jack and my partner here is Ross."    "Hi Ross and Jack! My name is Pinkie Pie, but you can call me Pinkie. My friend's names are Twillight, AppleJack, Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, and Rarity!" she pointed to each friend with a hoof when she said their name.   "I am now thinking Master isn't going crazy," Jack said to Ross. "Oh well, let's  get you ponies to our home."   "Where is it?" Twillight asked.   "In a mountain, but don't worry, it's a easy trip!''   Rarity gasped. "A mountain?! A dirty mountain? No! My hair will be ruined!!" She promptly fainted dramatically.    At sunset, the six ponies and two humans finally reached the hidden door in the mountain. They all walked inside the rocky structure, careful not to slip off the side of the mountain. There were a few windows, couple of handmade wooden chairs and tables, a staircase that went up to a different room, and couple of wooden doors that lead to other rooms that didn't match the room upstairs.   "We have retrieved them, Master!" Jack called out, hand by his mouth.   Their master, Lunar, walked down the rock staircase. "That's good and bad," he mused. "Why hello there! I am Lunar, the Leader of these Rogues. I believe we might have something that you are looking for..."   "We do?" Ross asked, scratching his bald head.    "We could. All I know is that these ponies are looking for something... Or someone..." //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 3 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 3     "How'd ya know we were lookin' for some pony?" AppleJack asked.     "I have great guessing skills" Lunar implied.     Rainbow Dash rolled her eyes. "I doubt that,'' she said to herself.     Lunar didn't care at all. "Would you get our guests and I some cabbage stew and bring it up to my quarters, Jack?" Jack nodded and began to walk away. "Before you go, no meat for any of them.''    "But you always have meat in your stew," Jack said confusingly.    "I said no meat... So do as I say..." Lunar sneered, his eyes flashed a light greenish-blue, revealing menacing cat like eyes. Jack left right away, fearing he might die if he didn't go.    Ross walked away, not knowing that Jack had ran out of fear, from the group and went into a room while the group went up the stairs to Lunar's quarters. Lunar waited until all the ponies were in the quarter and shut the door behind them. The room was clean for an underground area. Greyish blue bed sat by the wall, a handmade rock desk with a couple of pens on it was on the other side of the room, there was a window that showed the glowing moon, there was a large table with seven chairs and one large chair with cushions and were made of iron, and on the table were blue flowers in a unpainted clay jar.    "At least this quarter looks clean... unlike everything else," Rarity said.    "I try to be clean. While we wait for our dinner, you all should take a seat,'' Lunar said. He then walked over to the large chair and took a seat. The ponies did the same.    "So, you said you might have who we need,'' Rainbow Dash recalled.    "I did say that. Who are you looking for?" Lunar asked, even though he knew the answer.    "Um... We're looking for a blue p-pony p-princess,'' Fluttershy answered shakily for she was still scared of the human.    "Well,'' Lunar began, "We might have her in our dungeon." Fluttershy curled into a small ball at the word "dungeon''.    "Then again, we might not have her at all," Lunar said.     "How do we know your not lying, because you are a Rogue?" Pinkie pointed out.     "Your food, Master,'' Jack said as he came in with a large tray with seven bowls that held their Cabbage Stew. Jack walked around as he gave Lunar and each pony a bowl. "Would you like me to stay in here Master?"     "No. I want you to guard my door and make sure no one comes inside. Do you understand? If you fail at this job, then I will punish you myself and that punishment could lead to your death,'' Lunar said. If you could see his face, you would see a very stern and serious face.     Jack slowly back away until he reached the door. He then walked out and shut the door behind him.    "Do you really punish people like that?" Fluttershy asked as she slowly uncurled from the ball.    "Only if I need to. Let's start eating. I am sure you have been starving the entire day.''    "Start talking 'bout the Princess," AppleJack commanded.    "How about I show you her," Lunar said with a female tone much like Luna's. Lunar removed his gloves which reveal blue hooves with light and shiny light purple hoofshoes. He then pulled back his hood, showing his blue, smiling, pony face. He was Luna...    "Wait, you were Luna the entire time?" Twillight gasped.     "Didn't every pony already know that?" Pinkie asked. "The name practically gave her away. Did no pony seriously know that?"     "NO!!" the other ponies said in response.    "Well that doesn't matter. At least we can take you back to Equestria," Twillight said happily.    "No,'' Luna said.    "No?" the ponies stared at Luna.    "I said no. I don't want to go back and I will never go back again," Luna said coldly. Her voice had taken the male tone again as she lifted the hood back over her head with her magic. She lifted the bowl to her hidden face and drank it all in one quick gulp.    "Why?" Fluttershy asked.    "If I am not a seen as a good ruler, then why should I go? Besides, I still raise the moon for you instead of becoming that n-nightmare,'' her voice quavered when she said "nightmare''. She pulled the gloves over her hooves. "Eat up because you need the energy for returning to Equestria.'' She spat out "Equestria" like it tasted like rotten fish. "But your sister is worried sick about you Luna,'' Rarity said. "It's Lunar and I don't need my sister anymore. There will be no talking for the rest of your meal or else you will be kicked out. And I will be the one kicking you out," Lunar snapped.   Lunar walked out of quarters and talked to Jack. "When they are all done eating, let them out and make sure they leave for good," Lunar said coldly and stormed off. Jack nodded and shut the door.   "Is she really not going?" Fluttershy whimpered. No pony answered, for they were either eating or were staring out into space and thinking about what Luna said.   "Ah think so, Sugarcube," AppleJack pulled her hat in front of her face once she was done eating.   Each pony walked through the door as Jack and Lunar stared at them.   "Here is some money for food,'' Lunar said to Twillight. He handed her a bag of money.   When all the ponies were outside, AppleJack stopped and stared at Lunar. "Are you sure you want to stay here, Luna?"   Lunar stared back. "I am sure that want to stay and my name is Lunar,'' he said to her calmly.   "Well, I never like your night,'' she chuckled. She looked at Lunar, hoping to reveal his beautiful pony face, but when nothing happened, she left in defeat.   "Your night?'' Jack asked. Lunar only sighed. You know she and other ponies wouldn't say that if you became me again a voice that was Nightmare Moon's said from inside Lunar's head.     "I would never do that!" Lunar said back loudly.      "Um... I'm going to go now,'' Jack said as he slipped away. Of course you wouldn't. You are nice now. Aren't you Luna?     ''I thought I got rid of you, Nightmare,'' Lunar said. Well you thought wrong... Very wrong...     "We will not return to Equestria until we have Luna," Twillight said to the group. They sat in a circle around a small but warm fire.     "Listen Twi, we might not get Luna back. She is serious about leaving her alone. I don't know if we can get her, but I'm gonna still try," Apple Jack said to Twillight.     Fluttershy sniffed and poked at the ground with her hoof. "What if we never bring her back?"     The rest of the group replied in unison, "Then we never go home."     Fluttershy jumped from the response. "But I have animals to take care of!" She whimpered.     "Don't worry, Celestia is doing everything she can back in Equestria to make sure that we can continue our mission without having to go back," Twillight said. She glanced at the letter that was recently delivered to the group. "Well, at least I hope......"   "But that doesn't matter right now. We need to bring Luna back even if it's the last thing we do," Rainbow Dash said. She stretched her cyan wings wide and looked at the dark night sky.    "And once we take Luna back, that Jack can be leader. He seemed like a good candidate for the job," Rarity said. "He also seems a little dreamy..."    "AND THEN WE CAN THROW A PARTY!!!!!" Pinkie jumped in.     "We will do this together," Rainbow said.    Twillight smiled and said, "Together."    The girls giggled and all hugged each other.    "Together." //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 4 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 4      He scratched his head as he went up to his room. He sighed as each step passed. His head hurt from the Nightmare who was trying to convince him to go back to being his past self, a monster, a demon.     Lunar finally reached his door at the top of the staircase. His knees ached after he walked into the room. Lunar walked to a desk which had a large mirror. His body felt numb even though he had put tiny bits of effort into climbing the stairs.     "I am not becoming a monster," he said hastily. Who said I was a monster? Nightmare Moon asked smoothly.      "Let me think. How about every pony who said that I was a monster, behind my back," Lunar snapped. Luna, Luna, Luna. They only said that because you choose to become your weak little self again and that meant that they could talk about you the way they wanted. If you stayed as me, you could know that every pony who talked about you that way, would be sent to the gallows.     "WELL I DON'T WANT TO SEND PONIES TO THE GALLOWS!!!!!" Lunar shrieked, let a bit of feminine voice out. He clutched his mouth. Looks like your female side does!!! Nightmare Moon laughed.     "I have been completely honest with you Nightmare. I don't want any pony sent to the gallows."     Nightmare Moon giggled at the thought of Luna sending ponies to the gallows.     Jack paced his room that he shared with Ross. He scratched his beard with his metal arm while his normal arm was moving around as he talked to Ross. Their room wasn't big like their Leader's and it only was really able to hold two beds with little room to walk. Jack maneuvered around the beds .    "Why did Lunar make us get those ponies and then kick them out, minutes after we brought them inside?" Jack thought aloud.    Ross stared up at the rocky roof that could collapse any minute and crush him. His only response was, "Who knows?"    "MASTER DOES!!! He is the one who assigned this to us!!" Jack said.     "He assigned you, but I was kind enough to come with you. Now that I think about it, I was going to be the only person to follow Master's orders!" Ross said back.     "Oh well!! I am going to talk to h-" Jack was interrupted by the sound of their door flinging open. At the door was none other than Lunar himself.     "Come with me Jack," he said sternly.     Jack gulped as Ross smiled. "Good Luck," Rosa said as he waved a hand.    The door was closed as Jack followed Lunar. He noticed that his Master's cape and hood was partly ripped which showed a tiny bit of blue skin if you look carefully.    Jack followed Lunar as they went to Lunar's quarter.  Once they entered the room, Jack noticed that the window was covered up by some cloth. The same cloth as his Lunar's cape.   "Are you ok Luna?" Jack asked. Lunar swung his head to Jack. Jack immediately grabbed his mouth once he figure out he accidentally said Lunar without the  "r" in it.   "WHAT DID YOU SAY?" Lunar roared.    "I s-said Lunar," Jack said. His head spun around as Lunar approached him.    "Nevermind. As my Second in Command, you need to know the truth about me. But, you must keep it a secret and not tell anyone," Lunar sighed.   "I promise sir!" Jack said quickly, for his head was aching from trying to figure out his Master for the past week.     Lunar growled a little and began to tear his cloths off. Jack watched in horror as Lunar ripped everything off of himself. Jack tried to stop Lunar, but his head told him not to. Once everything was off of Lunar, Jack froze. His stared at a tall, it's blue skin was actually blue fur, it was a majestic pony with wings and a horn. It's hooves had light and shiny purple hoofshoes, and on its butt was a black sploch with a crescent moon on it.    "What are you?!" Jack yelped as he backed to the door which was left open.     The pony slammed the door shut with its horn. It looked female, but Jack couldn't figure out what gender it was. The pony walked over to Jack and stared coldly. Its mane flowed in imaginary wind. Its wings were huge and its eyes were a lovely teal, but they weren't cat like.    Jack tried to scream, but he was frozen mid scream. His entire body was covered on turquoise mist.    "I am still Lunar, but my real name is Luna," the pony said. Its voice was feminine. "And I am a girl, Jack."    Jack didn't know what to do. All he could move was his eyes which were busy darting around. His mind raced around as he tried to escape.     "If you are still scared of my pony form, don't be. I mean you no harm," Luna said. "In fact, if I were to harm you, I would be a lot scarier than this. I'm just a pony Princess that would like some pony to want her to be their Leader and trust me." Luna's ear flatted as she lowered her head. Her legs shook until she let herself fall on to the hard ground of the room.    Jack's heart ached. He could tell that this pony just wants to be in charge and wishes other won't fear her, even though Jack had no idea on why others would fear her. In fact, she looked kinda cute to him.    Jack was suddenly released and he fell to the ground. He realized that Luna was on the verge of tears. Her lovely eyes stared at the ground. "Go ahead. Tell everyone I'm a pony. I don't care anymore. I just wish I could be myself without any problems."   Jack watched his "Master" go from angry to completely sad.   Jack looked at the watch on his wrist. 7:00 A.M. It was about time for the moon to lower and the sun to rise, but the moon was still in the sky. He stared at the cloth that covered the window. He got up from the ground and walked to the covered window. With one quick swing, he tore it off. The moon was right in the middle of the sky.   "Luna?" Jack asked. He looked at the sad pony. Just because he was a rogue, doesn't mean he had to be mean.   Luna lifted her eyes off of the ground and looked at Jack. "Yes?"    "Do you know why the moon is still in the middle of the sky?" He asked her.     Luna jumped up to her spot and ran to the window in mere seconds. Her horn glowed as the moon began to lower. Soon after the moon began to lower, the sun rose high into the sky. Jack watched Luna as she concentrated on the moon until it disappeared.    "How did you do that?" He asked her.    "I raise and lower the moon as my sister raises and lowers the sun," she said sadly. She walked to her bed and leaped onto it. She walked in a circle to then lay down into a ball of fur.   "Well, I think I like a pony who raises the moon is a great leader for our team!" Jack said to her. She lifted her head to look at him.   "Really?" She said excitedly. Jack nodded as he walked over to her. He placed his regular hand behind her ear and scratched it a little. He felt her soft fur rub against his bare hand.    Luna smiled as her back hoof began to tap on the bed. She then pushed Jack's hand away. "If I am still going to be in charge, no scratching behind the ear!" She said.   "Ok fine," Jack said.    "But I wouldn't mind if you scratch behind the ear for a lttle bit longer," Luna said. Jack smiled and began to scratch behind her ear again. Her back hoof tapped again as she made the cutest face only a pony could make. Do you really think you can escape me? //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 5 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 5    Luna groaned and looked around. Her head spun quickly as she took in her surroundings. She was right in the middle of her own room. The one back in Equestria.    Luna jumped from her bed walked over to her shelves which must of been replaced.    "This can't be happening!!! I was at Red Stone!!!! No!!!!! Jack!! Ross!!!" Luna cried and looked through her window. She sighed and turned her head to the opening door.    "Sister. I'm sorry but they had no choice..... They took you in your sleep," Celestia said. She walked over to her sister and put a wing around her.    "But I was guarded!!! It would be impossible for them to take me!!" Luna said.    Luna glanced at her sister who had a demon like grin. She immediately jumped out of her sister's grip and growled. "What is thou smiling at? Is thy Princess of the Night funny? Is thou truly thy sister?" Luna hissed.    Celestia replied. "Oh Luna, I'm not your sister." Celestia laughed maniacally and started turning black. "I'm you!!!!!" the black figure said.    Celestia was no more. In her place was a grinning Nightmare Moon.    Luna backed up. "STAY AWAY FROM ME YOU DEMON!!!!!"    Nightmare Moon ignored Luna and disappeared.    Luna glanced around and suddenly felt dizzy. She felt like she was growing. She looked down at her hooves. They weren't blue, they were black with long armor on them. Her legs had grown to the size of Celestia's.    Luna ran to her mirror and looked into it. She saw the reflection of Nightmare Moon in it.    "NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!" Luna bellowed.    Luna woke up in her bed, the one in the mountains. She looked around and saw her hooves completely black, but without the large armor. She looked around saw Jack curled up in a ball and laying by her tummy. She was now larger than Jack which gave Jack lots of room to curl up in.    Luna sighed and studied her hooves. Using her magic, she made herself turn normal, which started squishing Jack.    Jack groaned and rose up. "Why are you squishing me Luna?" he asked while he rubbed his eyes. He looked into her eyes and nearly leaped out of his skin.    "What? Is there something wrong?" Luna asked worriedly. She looked around the room and saw nothing. "What did you see?"    "Your eyes and teeth..... They are.... Scary.... Just like when you told me no meat..." Jack said while backing away from Luna.    Luna got up and walked over to her mirror. She bared her teeth which were actually fangs and her eyes were teal and cat like. Luna looked back to Jack who was staring at her as if she might try to eat him.    She sighed and used her magic to go back to fully normal. "There we go. I'm no longer scary."   Jack got up from his spot and walked over to Luna. He scratched behind her ear since he was sure that a pony such as Luna doesn't eat meat. Then he quickly realized that Luna had been eating meat in her stew. "Now what Master?" He tried not to sound panicked.    Luna looked to Jack with a smile. "Are you sure I should still be leader?"    Jack nodded. "Of course!!! But we might need to get you some new clothes....." Jack stared at the remains of the cloths that Luna had previously wore.    "Hold on."    Luna picked up the cloth and used her magic to fix them. She then put all of it on and started glowing which then made her disappear. All the sudden a human and form in Lunar's clothes appeared.    "L-Luna? Is that you? You look human for once." Jack walked up to the form and pulled the hood down. The hood revealed a beautiful woman with light brown skin and magical, galaxy-like,flowing hair in a pony tail.    "Yes Jack, I am Luna," the woman giggled. Luna smiled and looked up to Jack.    Jack smiled. "Why didn't you do this instead of hiding all your fur?" Jack noticed that Luna's shoulder had the same crescent moon on it as when she was a pony.    "I guess I just rushed to look like a normal human, so I didn't exactly have that in mind at the time."    "So what will we tell the team? You did join a males only rogue group," Jack pointed out.    "That's easy. I already kicked out everyone except you and Ross. You two were the only ones who did as I said. The others did make threats to me but I have a feeling we won't ever see them again."    "When did you kick them out, Luna?" Jacked asked her. He had already grown used to "Luna" since it was very similar to "Lunar".    "Couple months ago." Luna looked at him with a sheepish smile.    Jack chuckled and swept Luna off her feet. "Let's go take you to Ross, but seriously, a couple months ago?    "Yup! Ross was the only one aware of it other than me. Um... you don't have carry me. I know how to walk in this form," Luna said with a smile.   Jack set Luna down walked down the stairs. Once he reached the bottom he looked to the top of the staircase. There, he found Luna shakily go down a step. She nearly slipped and fell, but was able to hold still.    "I think I might just fly down," Luna called out as she turned back into a pony. With one leap she glided down the staircase and landed right by Jack. "Ross should also know the truth about me. I don't need to be a human all the time."   As if talking about Ross had summoned him, Ross walked up to them and gasped at the sight of Luna's pony form.   "Didn't Master say to kick all the ponies out? I don't remember this one. Why does she have flowing hair? What will Master think? Would Master kill us? Or you?" Ross asked. "What if Ma-"    "I WILL NOT DO ANYTHING TO YOU ROSS!!!" Luna thundered.    Ross raised a brow at Luna and pointed to her. "What is that pony talking about?"    "Ross, I am Lunar. Lunar is I. Lunar is actually a pony named Luna, and that is me," Luna said as she eyed Ross.    "She kidding right?" Ross asked Jack. Jack shook his head.    "She is Lunar. Trust me, I learned first hoof," Jack smiled at Luna.    Luna smiled back and walked over to Ross. She spread her wings wide. "Yes, I'm actually a pony and yes, I have both wings and a horn."   Jack looked at the sky throw a far away window. "How long were we out?" Jack looked to his wrist watch and smiled "Eight o' clock? That means we were out for two hours even though we were in your quarters most of yesterday. Wait... Yesterday was Wensday, right?"    Luna shook her head. "Yesterday was Thursday, Wensday was the day that I revealed my true form to you. Today is now Friday."    Jack sighed, "Oh well... Time to show Ross what you can do."    Luna smiled and nodded to the exit. "Outside."    Luna walked to the door silently and opened it wide with her magic aura. She then grab the two men in her magic and pulled them to her side.     Jack smiled nervously as he and Ross were squished together and was floated down the cliff side. He turned to look for Luna so he could thank her for bringing them down instead of leaving them, but she was already busy with raising the moon.    Ross was dumbstruck at the sight of a pony raising the moon. His mouth opened and closed, but it was his only reaction.    Once the pony princess finished her work, she looked at Ross with hopeful eyes. "Was that amazing or what?" she asked playfully. Ross could only nod, for his mouth hung open.    All the sudden two new voices could be heard from behind a bush. They chatted about the night and how it looked.   "The night is stupid. It's so ugly and I wish I never existed," a voice said as Luna silently crept up on them.    Luna stopped dead in her tracks. Someone didn't like her night. Even though she put all her effort into making it beautiful and majestic. The effort she puts into guarding, it was going unnoticed.    "The moon especially is ugly. We already have one circular object that goes in the sky. We don't need two," the other voice said.    Luna backed up slowly as her bottom lip began to tremble. She accidentally bumped into Jack who gave her a smile. Luna couldn't smile back since her heart was broken. She sat on the green grass and stared at her hooves. Oh Luna..... You might as well send them into eternal night......    Luna stayed silent. Even as Jack put a hand on her shoulders. Her night was ugly? What did she do to it that made it ugly?    "Luna? Are you ok?" Jack asked.    Luna nodded as tears streamed down her soft furry cheeks. She was almost to sobbing point until she grew angry. Angrier than she had before. She hissed softly and stood up. She wiped her tears with a hoof and started to make her way back to the hideout. She didn't even wait for Jack and Ross. She just left them as her hooves came down. She put more and more anger into each step, creating a bigger hoof mark then the one before.    "They will pay for such pickiness."    Twillight laughed as Luna and her followers left them. Apple Jack just stared at her hooves glumly.    "I didn't like lying about Luna's night like that. I think her night is beautiful, even her moon too," Apple Jack said sadly.    "Don't worry AJ, once Luna gets angry enough, she will want to be comforted by her sister and that is where we come in. In the end, this is for Celestia," Twillight said. She patted Apple Jack's back.    "Yeah.... For Celestia...." //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 6 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 6    Luna entered the hidden hideout of the rogues. Although she was angry, she wasn't Nightmare Moon, which, she was the only thing she was glad about. Luna, this is your time to shine. This is your time to show who is in charge. Make night-    "Eternal? I should, shouldn't I? But I won't. I'm not slipping into becoming Nightmare Moon. I'm no fool, Nightmare...." Who said you were a fool? I know I didn't, Nightmare Moon said. She let out a cackle. But you would be one if you didn't rise to the top, which, you haven't done.    "I am not a fool! Thou is one for such talk! Thy Princess of the Night will never fall into thou's trickery!!" Luna stomped her hoof and headed to her room. But what if I do fall in Nightmare's trickery? Will I be feared again? Will Jack and Ross fear me?    "She's a fast pony... I don't know why she didn't fly though..." Ross said through rugged breathes.    Jack didn't say anything in response, he just ran up the mountain. He had ran past Ross a little which had given him the advantage to getting to Luna and helping her with whatever.    Jack finally reached the entrance with Ross far behind him. He lifted his dull metal arm to open the entrance, but it swung open before he could even touch it. He made his way into the hideout which was pitch black.    "L-Luna?" Jack asked. He was only met with a cackle that only meant something bad was to happen.    "Luna is no more... There is only Nightmare Moon... " the person who had cackled mused.    "Nightmare Moon? Who is that?" Jack froze up. "Did you do anything to Luna?!"    "I am Luna..." Nightmare Moon said.    "No! That's not true! Luna doesn't sound evil!"    Nightmare Moon walked up to him through the darkness. An eerie glow appeared, revealing a black pony, much large than Luna. The pony had sharp teeth, light blue armor with a moon on the chestplate, creepier wings than Luna's, cat-like eyes, and a crescent moon on a purple sploch on her flank.    "Face the facts... Jack... Now if you'll excuse me, I need to get rid of you so Luna doesn't get distracted from making the night eternal..." Nightmare Moon lifted Jack off the ground by his neck with her magic and began to make the magic squeeze his neck. "Bye, bye, Jack...    "L-Luna... I... Know you're in..... There... Don't do th-" Jack passed out and was dropped to the ground, his metal arm detaching and revealing a stump. He laid motionless on the hard ground.    Ross rushed inside the hideout and instantly spotted Nightmare Moon. "Uh... Who are you? And where is Jack?"    "I am Nightmare Moon, fool, and you're friend Jack is right there..." she pointed to Jack with a hoof.    Ross was at Jack's side in an instant. "Jack, buddy. Don't die..."    "You humans are pathetic. Just pathetic..."    Nightmare Moon lifted Ross off the ground and threw him at a wall that was unseen before.    Ross slowly got up to his feet, panting and looked around in the darkness. "Where is Luna?"    The nightmare snorted and pointed to herself. " I am Luna!! I am you're leader, but I have no use for you. That is why I am getting rid of you and Jack."    Ross was lifted up again and was slammed against the ground multiple times until we he finally went limp. He was set down with no gentleness and watched as Nightmare Moon approached his body.    "Giving up already?! Ha!! And I thought you were the tough one. Have a fun time dying..." she placed a hoof on his head and applied pressure.    "REMOVE YOUR HOOF, NIGHTMARE, OR FACE MY WRATH!!" a sudden voice boomed out.    The darkness disappeared and was replace with the light of the hideout. A pony approached, it was Luna. Her gaze was on Nightmare Moon, who stopped applying pressure to Ross's head. She sneered.    "Luna... Since when did you want these stupid humans to live? Also, when you say wrath, you sound a little foolish..."    "Since the day I met them... Now leave!!"    "Fine. I already did most of my job. I'll be waiting for you to shine..." and with that said, Nigntmare Moon disappeared.    Luna ran to Ross's side and used her magic to heal what she could. "I'm so sorry, Ross. I didn't know she was going to attempt to kill you. I didn't even know she was here!!"    Ross grabbed Luna by the neck and looked at her coldly. "You were just putting on a show... I knew it! I should of known I shouldn't of trusted you!"    "No! I wasn't! I don't wish to harm you!" she said to Ross while she tried to pull his hand off of her neck.    He lifted her up off the ground with the little strength he had. He stood up tall and head butted her face. "Nice try... But I don't believe you..."    Luna gasped in surprise, stopping herself from healing Ross and teleported out of his grasp. She looked at him in fear, shaking her head. Her snout sang with pain as she stared.   "No.. This must be a nightmare... I want to wake up! Wake up!" she started yelling at herself.    Ross looked at Jack's non-moving body and pointed to him. "He's dead... You killed him... You are a killer..."    Luna looked at Jack and ran to his side. "JACK!! WAKE UP!! DON'T DIE!! YOU AREN'T DEAD!! I don't want you to be dead..." Ross rolled his eyes and watched the blue pony yell at Jack, knowing very well that he was going to have to get rid of her after she was done.    Luna sniffed and laid by him, setting her head on his chest. She closed her eyes tight and began to cry on Jack. She sobbed loudly until she felt something. Something behind her ear. She opened her eyes and saw Jack scratching behind her ear with his only arm. She was about to say something but Jack beat her too it.    "Yeah... I'm alive..." He stopped scratching behind her ear. "Barely alive... But... Why? Why did you do this? Why did you hurt me... Then cry when you thought I died?"
