Chapter 1: The Same Day as Usual
"Ugh, what a rough day it has been." The boy said it in his thought when he enter his home. He was so exhausted from the hard day of work of doing school stuff and other important things he had to do by the end of the day. He decided to lay down on his back against the soft brown couch to rest his body, part of him feels his doing a great job at school for finishing his classwork on his classes. But, the other part feels tired and getting bore of all the lessons and quizzes he had to take to get good grade on his report card.
That boy who is laying down on the couch, his name is Brad he is a fifteen year old teenage boy who has been living in his house all his time with his family.
"Ughhhhhh, why Ms. Sanderson gave us a lot of homework to do it by the end of the day, I don't think I'll be finish with the homework in time."Brad thought."Ugh, oh well I guess I better do my work then."
Brad got off from the couch and grab his backpack to do his homework upstairs to his room. Brad school is a high school who is in Libra Academy. He is a 10 grader that has great teachers that care of him for over like five months, but there is something else his mind is still stuck on his brain it's something that keeps bothering him for the past five months. Something that he doesn't want to talk about .
It's was getting late around 10:30 PM. Brad however is getting really sleepy and tired for all the homework he has to do it to get done right now. "Finally I have finish everything." Brad shout out a little bit with all the homework he had finish for him to have some free time for himself, as he was about to put away all his stuff inside his backpack there was a knock on the door.
*KNOCK* *KNOCK* *KNOCK*
"Come in," Brad said
"Oh, hello Brad I see you finish your homework," said his Mom
"and you haven't noticed about it."
Her Mom smile went down when her son said it to her, she was so busy at work that she didn't even notice about him at all. Not even when her son wanted to show her something that she never pay attention to him.
"Sweety your dad and I are very busy of getting our work done, I know your sister doesn't want to play with you but you should do something instead of being stuck in here in your room for the entire day."
Brad cross his arms and thinking about what he was going to say,"Like what?"
"Well...."said her Mom trying to think of something to help her son."You could draw something on your drawing book or just go hangout with your-"
"No!?"
"What?". Her Mom was shock on her thought." Are you sure, I can call your friend Jaque-"
"I 'said' No!" said Brad with some anger inside his body.
Her Mom was even more shock that her son is angry for bringing up the topic, her mom sigh and said. " Alright dear, it's your choice. I think it's time for you to get to bed. You don't want to be late for school tomorrow for sleeping in late don't you. "
Brad sigh as he doesn't want to talk anymore, but the only response that he could say is, "No"
Her Mom sigh with a relief that her son understand what she's talking about. "Good", said her Mom. With that being said she kiss him on the forehead and turn forward to exit out her son room. Before she was about to exit Brad room, she said something to him that will definitely cheer him up
"You know sweety," her mom respond to get her son attention.
"Since, tomorrow will be Friday and if I'm not busy or your father isn't busy at all maybe we could all go to the park to enjoy a beautiful day outside. What do you say?"
Brad turns around with his head up high to see her mother to respond her question. He sigh for a minute to say something from his mouth. "Okay, but on one condition. Will you promise me that you will not work so much tomorrow.?" Her Mom tries to find her words to say something to her son like, "Of course I will" or "I will never ever break a promise". But, whatever she said those same simple words she will always break all her promise because of so much work she has to get done. However, she'll know that she will never do it again over the past few years.
"I'll see if I can do my best to get my work done soon and I'll promise you and the rest of the family will go to the park together." Her Mom said.
Brad doesn't know that if she can trust her at all. Her Mom always breaks he's promises on special occasions like to help him do project's, get him a new phone, or even wanted to take all the family to go eat some burgers. He knew he wanted something to proof that both of them have made a promise. Luckily, he had an idea that will definitely work for both of them and hopefully it will work just like that TV show of "My Little Pony Friendship is Magic".
"Hey Mom, lets make a pinky promise so that we can all go to the park together as a family." Brad said.
Without even thinking about it Brad Mom said,"Okay dear I pinky promise that we as a family will go to the park together."
With that being said both of them have made a pinkie promise to each other so that all the family will go to the park tomorrow. Brad Mom let go of her pinky finger and kiss her son forehead. "Well I think it's time that you brush your teeth and get to bed, school is tomorrow and lets hope that you have special day."
"Okay Mom." Brad said
As soon as her mom had left Brad room, Brad is now alone of his room thinking that it is time to hit the hay. "*sigh* well I think it's time for me to brush my teeth and go to bed. I hope tomorrow will be a great day and to see if I have some friends to hangout. I really wanted somebody to be with my side."
