Sweet Almond ran through the wet, cold night. Her hooves thumped against the rough concrete. Hands clenched in fists of rage, the events of the day came flooding back into her mind. It didn't matter how strong she tried to make the dam that was keeping them out.
"You're gay?"
"I can't believe it!"
"Hey, Flora, come over here! I just heard the funniest thing!"
"Sweet is even more of a loser than I had thought!"
"Get out of our house! Now!"
The tears came hard, fast, reminding Sweet Almond of another one of the things she hated herself about. She was such a crybaby. Always getting worked up about nothing. Plus the fact that she was so gullible and easy to sway. Without warning, Sweet toppled to the ground, skinning her knee and hitting her face against the hard ground.
Curling up into a fetal position, Sweet Almond wrapped her wings around herself and wept. She sat there for what could have been hours, or just mere minutes. It wasn't like she could really tell anymore.
Meanwhile, Twinkle was walking up the sidewalk. Navy blue umbrella in hand, she was too busy soaking up the damp night air to notice Sweet until she was right in front of her. Twinkle's turquoise eyes widened in surprise to see one of her own classmates sprawled out on the pavement in the middle of a park. Carefully observing Sweet Almond, Twinkle was adrenalized to see that she had fallen asleep. Being the naughty girl that she was, Twinkle felt up Sweet for a moment.
Hmm... yes, nice, quite firm. She should do nicely.
A sick grin spread across her face as she carefully lifted Sweet off the ground. This was an amazing stroke of luck for Eve Twinkle. Sweet Almond was such a beautiful girl... and so vulnerable. Carefully supporting Sweet's head, Twinkle began her walk home again.
Sweet Almond awoke to the harsh glare of bright overhead lights. Blinking rapidly, she looked around frantically. It took a couple of seconds for her to be able to see properly. When she finally regained her vision, Sweet gasped. Her hands ,hooves and wings had been bound to a sturdy metal chair, which in turn had been rooted in the cement floor. Also, the room was far from empty.
Several tables lined the cement walls. The first one held a large metal box that resembled a suitcase. Sweet Almond didn't want to think about what it might hold. The second was filled will pastries, cakes, sandwiches, and drinks. Folded underneath it seemed to be a smaller table, with a tea set sitting right next to it. This made Sweet lick her lips. She was quite hungry.
On the other side of the room was a flat, low-sitting table with leather straps laying atop it. Next to it was a cart with various syringes and medications. In fact, the cart was full of medical supplies of all sorts.
Several pictures also lined the walls. Many of them were paintings by unknown artists, but a few were a bit more disturbing. Some of the wood frames held pictures of ponies writhing in pain. One of them even displayed a young colt who had been gutted. His entrails had been placed around him in a perfect circle. Another was a picture of a mare about her age. Scars and stitches marred her muzzle.
Sweet Almond turned away, disgusted. Her pale white hands clenched into fists and began to shake in their bounds. Soon she feared that she may become a lifeless corpse as well, just another picture to line the sterile walls. Tears began to form in the corners of her violet eyes. After all the horrible ordeals that she had gone through, Sweet was almost certain that this would be her last. She had read stories about girls around her age who had disappeared and were never seen again. At least they had had people who cared enough to look for them. Nobody would be coming for her. They would probably celebrate once they realized she was never coming back.
Even her parents didn't want her anymore.
"Greetings, Sweet. I didn't notice that you had woken up, or I would have come down here sooner."
Sweet Almond started. Her head shot up and she was greeted by Eve Twinkle's grinning, plum-colored face. Blinking back the tears in her eyes, Sweet gasped. She knew Twinkle. So, it was one of her classmates who was responsible for this. Figures.
"W-what are you going to d-do with me?" Trembled Sweet. There was no point in trying to seem brave. Everyone knew that she wasn't brave, or smart, or pretty. The false alicorn had no desirable qualities whatever.
Twinkle's expression turned soft and caring. "I just want to have a little fun, that's all." She pouted, then began to rock her hips back and forth slowly. The turquoise dress she was wearing swished gently. Then she leaned forward and put her hands on the back of Sweet's chair. Eve's hot, sugary breath caressed Sweet's face as she whispered; "And, if you're good, I might just keep ya."
"What e-exactly are you implying?" Whimpered Sweet Almond.
Her captor gestured to the pictures on the left wall. "Those are what I call my... disapointments. But, there are a select few whom I take a particular shine to- and you seem to have made a reasonable head start."
"You... like me?" Unsure if she had heard right, Sweet had to ask.
"Precisely! I've actually had my eye on you for a while now. What a stroke of luck it was to find you last night, eh?"
Heat rushed to Sweet's cheeks. It couldn't be true. Eve Twinkle had a crush on her? Either way, she had been abducted by one of the sexist girls currently enrolled in Dewport High and they were about to engage in what Twinkle called "a little fun." Sweet Almond found that not only was both terrified and aroused by this development.
The echo of high heels and the squeaking of poorly-oiled joints snapped her out of her stupor. Twinkle had rolled the cart full of medical supplies over towards her. Lifting the spool of thread, the plum unicorn began to thread the needle. Sweet watched, holding her breath and thinking of the girl riddled with stitches. Would she look like that once Twinkle was done with her?
Then, Sweet felt her captor grasp her arm and push her gray sleeve upwards. Many short, horizontal cuts riddled her pearly skin. Fiercely blushing, Sweet Almond turned away from her right arm as Eve Twinkle lightly traced both the scars and fresh incisions.
Finally, she was able to speak up. "Please, d-don't do that..."
Raising an eyebrow, Twinkle lifted her turquoise eyes from Sweet's arm and began to giggle. "I had not idea you enjoyed inflicting pain upon yourself! What a coincidence, hmm?"
"It's not like that!" Tears sprang up in the corners of her violet eyes. "I... It helps keep me focused."
Eve Twinkle gingerly lifted Sweet's head upwards with her right hand and began to stroke her cheek with a scalpel. "So. Do you enjoy it or not?"
"W-well, I..." Sweet Almond thought back to all those evenings where she had come home from school, sobbing, and had reached towards her pocket knife for comfort. Maybe she did enjoy it, just a little bit. The delicious feeling of pain was what got her through her day, after all. Everything always became so clear once that old knife grazed her flesh. There was no point in hiding it.
"Yes," mumbled Sweet. "I do like it. It-It's fun to punish myself." She trailed off, then whispered; "Helps me remember that nobody cares about me anymore."
Twinkle nodded thoughtfully, then brightened. It seemed that her prisoner was already halfway broken, so why not use that to her advantage? She pushed the scalpel down hard, and Sweet gasped when it sunk into her flesh. Small beads of blood began to form immediately around the blade, and Eve Twinkle yanked it out quickly. A steady stream of blood flowed down Sweet Almond's cheek, and Twinkle began lapping it up with her tongue. Once the blood had slowed to a slight trickle, Twinkle's eyes met Sweet's once more.
Her tone became dark and serious. "You are mine now. Understand? You disobey and you become just another picture on the wall. You obey, and you gain the rights to return to school. If you try to escape, I'll kill you." A small smile formed on her thin, cherry lips. "I think that you'll make an excellent pet, wouldn't you agree?"
