A few of the ponyfolk loitering around had either rolled their eyes or smiled. But Pinkie knew she couldn’t win over everypony. She then dashed over to her Twilight’s Library. She was ready to burst through the door, bright eyed and bushy tailed when the door flew open and sent her stumbling back. Twilight came charging out the door in a flurry of papers and documents. She was hastily dressed in royal armor and was carrying a saddle bag full of scrolls. Twilight swung her head around wildly as if she was looking for something before continuing to run off. “Twilight, wait!” Pinkie called before following her friend, Twilight showed no sign of stopping until Pinkie tackled her and sent both of them rolling. Pinkie hastily started helping her friend up. “Yeesh, Twi I didn’t wanna resort to that but-“Twilight cut her off “We have to get moving! Something terrible is about to happen!” Pinkie scoffed “The only thing going on around here is spring.” Twilight shook her head, “I just received a letter from Celestia telling us to get out of here while we still can.” Pinkie started to say “Well I can go get Mayor Mare-“But Twilight cut her off again “No, it’s just us! The Elements of Harmony!” Pinkie thought this was a bit weird but pulled on a smile and said her famous line “Oki doki Loki!” Twilight began organizing her papers while Pinkie hopped off to get the rest of her friends, the next stop was the Carousel Boutique where her Fashionista friend, Rarity lived. Pinkie knocked on the door impatiently, she knew that when Twilight was in hurry, you better hurry too. Her friend answered the door with a towel wrapped around her head and some green goopy stuff on her face. “Pinkie, what is it? It’s 9 in the morning for Celestia’s sake” Rarity whined “Twilight says we have to leave as soon as possible!” Pinkie stated cheerily. Rarity frowned “She better have a good excuse, I’ll be out in a few minutes” Rarity said before closing the door. Pimkie leaned against the side of the building while waiting for Rarity. She failed to notice the sinister shadow lurking over her. As quickly as the shadow had manifested it disappeared. Pinkie tapped her hoof impatiently suddenly a bloodcurdling screech came ringing out of the Everfree Forest and cloud of a noxious yellow gas rolled into the open. Pinkie jumped up, alarmed for an acrid stench that burned your nostrils had filled the air. She burst through the door and grabbed Rarity, who was putting her make-up on. Rarity yelped in surprise but Pinkie took no notice. She picked Rarity and laid her across her own back and ran to the library as fast as she could. When she arrived with Rarity needling at her from her back, Pinkie found nopony there but the cloud was approaching fast so she ducked inside and slammed and locked the doors. “What now?” Rarity asked “Now, we wait” Pinkie said. //-------------------------------------------------------// Flight of the wounded //-------------------------------------------------------// Flight of the wounded Rainbow Dash Rainbow Dash was sitting on a cloud waiting for Applejack, so that they could go check the Spring Fair out. But, it was tasking forever and she was very bored, so she began taking tufts of cloud and rolling them into spheres and throwing them at passerby. Most just frowned and hurried on, but some threatened to call the guards. She did this for an hour or so before she grew tired again and decided to take a nap. When she woke up, an acrid scent filled her nostrils. Words could not describe what it smelled like. It filled her mouth and invaded her throat and made her eyes water. She coughed and hacked until she fell off the cloud and landed with a sickening crunch. By the time the she regained conscious the yellow fog had nearly engulfed her. Her head was pounding with pain and the fog clobbered at her senses. She laid in fetal position and sobbed and retched, afraid and alone. She had began to lose her conscious when she heard a sound to her right. “Ap-Applejack?” she croaked, squinting in the direction, her eyes watering furiously. She could make out a figure in the fog. She began crawling slowly towards the figure, pausing every few inches to rest. Eventually she reached the figure, to her dismay it was not Applejack, but a colt clad in royal guard armor. He looked not much younger than Rainbow Dash herself, she tapped him gently on the shoulder. At first he did not respond but began to gradually stir. He rolled over and Dash could see some sort of apparatus hanging off of his face like a wet rag. He mumbled something and extended his hoof towards her.”I’m sorry, what?” Dash responded to him before breaking into a coughing fit. He sat up alarmed and pulled the mask off his face and handed it to Dash. Dash understood that he wanted her to wear it, so she pulled it over her face. It was made of a thick but pliable substance. She was guessing that it filtered the air. She looked at the young colts face and had to refrain from screaming in terror. His eyes were puffy and swollen, with small rivulets of blood leaking from his eyes and nose. Each breath sounded like he was giving birth, slowly climaxing in pain. She moaned In realization why the inside of the mask was sticky and wet, he must of head had the mask on for a good two-three hours. He shakily pointed motioning for Dash to go that way before collapsing on the ground. Dash was beginning to hoist him up onto her back when he pushed her away and made a sweeping motion with his hooves. So Dash began walking in the direction he had pointed. Dragging her hooves, she had been walking what felt like two hours but had actually been ten minutes, she decided to keep walking but closed her stinging eyes. More time passed, so she decided to see if she recognize where she was, she opened her eyes, but the world remained pitch black. That’s when Rainbow lost her cool, she howled and tore the mask off of her face and began clawing at her face as if someone had dropped a sheet over her head. She flapped her wings blindly, launching her in the air and sending her into twists and spirals. She shrieked furiously as if trying to kill her unseen attacker. Her wild flight had caused her to fly directly through a window in the Library. She smashed through the window easily, but slammed into a bookshelf headfirst, and for the second time that day Rainbow Dash passed out
