After A Night Of Fun

Previous ChapterNext Chapter

Ponyville Twilight's castle

The sun hung high in the sky and gave Twilight's castle a soft lighting inside. In said castle layed a group of friends who had stayed up late and decided to party...perhaps to much. On the floor layed Twilight and her friends Applejack and Rainbow. There was also a few chairs in which lied Rarity who's main was a complete mess. Along with Flutershy who had not participated as much in the night time festival. Pinky Pie had somehow made her way on the chandelier which hung over all of them and in a room just down the hall layed Celestia. She was sprawled on the bed her dress had come off from her very movement filled night of sleep. It had blended with the covers and now partially covered her now naked body. A knock on the door made her rollover to block the nuisance that was trying to wake her up.

The knock came again and this time slightly harder. Celestia decided maybe a vocal complaint would push whomever it was to go away so she could sleep.

"Please go away, my head hurts way to much just....try again later." She pulled a pillow over her head. A soft glow of magic unlocked the door and it slowly opened. Luna squeezed her way through the door way, not an easy feat what with her curves. She walked over to the bed slowly to savor every moment, Luna had decided to wake her sister up the way she use to. Most ponies don't know or remember but Celestia use to be quite the party animal. She would stay up late and have fun, drinking, singing, and socializing. Unfortunately Luna was rarely allowed mainly because she was to young but she always got back at Celestia. Luna hadn't done this in so long, she had actually started to miss it. So in the spirit of good old times Luna decided unanimously that her sister needed a wake up call. Luna used her magic to make a pot and wooden spoon appear from Twilight's kitchen.

"Oh sister ~ time to wake up~" Luna said in a sing song tone putting the pan and spoon close to her sister's ear.

"Luna go away I'm not in th- Ahh!" Celestia was interrupted by what sounded like a thousand thunderstorms hitting her ears at once. She jumped from the noise and fell some of the covers coming with her to the floor. The blankets helped cover her body as she rived in pain. Luna only smiled as she watch good memories of revenge coming back...good times. Her sister who had finally gotten over the feeling of pain got up and staired at Luna.

"Sister, what are you thinking?! Ohh!" Celestia grabbed her head forgetting her hang over from the anger.

"Well my loving sister, I thought I should tell you something." She said while putting her arms behind her back, smiling and swinging left and right.

Celestia narrowed her eyes, she could tell that something was happening. Luna hadn't been this happy sence she first found out about ponies and night clubs.

Celestia smiled, "Luna... Last night did you...get 'lucky' at the party last night." She put air quotes on the word lucky.

Luna blushed turning a light pink in her cheeks, "Celestia, how dare you make such a accusation! I would never find my stallion during a...drunk escapade." She crossed her arms over her chest, pouting slightly.

"Oh come on Lulu, I'm just guessing." Celestia said, trying to hid her smile.

Luna just huffed in frustration trying to ignore her sister's teasing. "Do you want me to explain what happened last night or not?" Asked Luna giving Celestia a glare.

"Ok, ok just...give me a minute." Celestia calmed herself by taking in a breath and letting it out. "Ok, I'm good go on." Celestia said while motioning for her to continue.

Luna fixed herself and readied to speak, "ok...last night I decided to leave the party to get some fresh air. While I was doing so I noticed that some clouds that formed a storm over the Everfree Forest. I decided to inspect it to make sure it was...ok..." Luna coughed a few times but continued, "as I did I noticed a vortex hit the ground of the Everfree and I decided to inspect that also. Once I got close I noticed that a crator had formed and something was in the floor. When I came closer a dog unlike any species I've seen jumped out of it." Luna had started to walk around the room while Celestia sat and listened.

"I initially thought that the dog was what created the crater but I was wrong. A large metal pony looking creature soon followed the dog. I was scared for a second but it actually talked to me."

"It talked to you, in Equestrian?" Interrupted Celestia, she had made herself more comfortable as Luna had talk.

"Yes, and the small conversation we had was...nice." Luna looked down for a second. She remembered the voice of the metal stallion, static like taking through a fan. She shook herself and continued, "I had decided that he wasn't a threat and offered this Soul Survivor that's his name a place to sleep but he declined. I also learned that he isn't even a pony but a new spiecies known as human. So I left him near the crator at the Everfree Forest so I could tell you about him. I would of took him to you that night but... You here out of your whits so I thought waiting would be a good idea." Luna finished standing in front of Celestia. Luna scanned Celestia's facial features, hoping that maybe her sister will see that this Soul Survivor wasn't bad. If what she fealt was true he was actually quite lovely....did she just think that?

"Well..." Celestia started and as she noticed the look her sister was giving her, she knew what to do. "Well considering the nature of this, and possibility of threat being low. Do to your own interaction with this Soul Survivor I simply wish to, one see and meet this Soul Survivor and two ask what you wish to do with him?"

Luna thought about this...what WAS she going to do with this new human? She could let him stay here and visit on occasion. Actually that sounded like a perfect idea, she didn't know why but being able to see him on occasion fealt quite... Good.

"I've decided to allow him to stay here with the elements and Princess Twilight. At least until I find out what happened to him more in depth. I'll be sure to schedule regular visits to both assure he's being behaved and fairly treated." Luna finished, her head held high with her own satisfaction.

Celestia smiled at her young sister. She loved her and if Luna thought this creature wasn't a threat. Then she did also, she was actually looking forward to seeing this 'Soul Survivor'. With a name like that he must be quite a sight but Celestia couldn't help but ask one more question.

"Luna, why is he called the Soul Survivor?" Luna, didn't even think about his name. It sounded more like a title then a name. How could she not of noticed this, that should of bit her like a timberwolve.

"I.....honestly don't know. I realize now that a name like that could suggest something, maybe something for the two of you to talk about?" Luna turned around and made her way back through the door, but before she did Luna turned around and said, "Tia...please have some kind of clothing on when he gets here. We don't want him to start assuming things, ok?" With that Luna left leaving a very red faced Celestia behind.

Everfree Forest near Vortex Impact

In the Everfree Forest laid the Soul Survivor and his best friend and trusted companion Dogmeat. His armor rattled and clang as he turned in his sleep, images from his life not the Commonwealth but his life before. Before the bombs and before the fire of radiation that plunged him and his loving wife into Vault 111. He remembered running, Shaun crying, people scared...him not being able to help them. The Soul Survivor remembered getting to the vault and the slow decent into the earth as an atomic bomb hit. Destroying everything and anything of his old life. His parents, his friends and everything else to his local bar to the boxing corner. Gone.

His mind flashed to images of him entering a pod then cold then....quite. All of ah sudden light and fatigue, as he looked out a Frost covered window that showed his soul mate frozen. He saw two people one in some kind of suit with a rebreather and another in thick road leathers. He knew who he was, Kellogg. The Survivor watched as the suited person opened his wife's pod she coughed asking if it was over. Kellogg assured her everything was fine as the other person tried to take Shaun
but she wouldn't let him go. He remembered that the cold in that pod couldn't keep him from feeling hate, as Kellogg pointed the gun telling her to let go. The Survivor knew she wouldn't let him go she was stubborn that way. Then he pulled the trigger and the Soul Survivor jumped awake feeling sweat under his Vault 111 jump suit.

"Ahh...fuck!" He whipped his eyes tears making it hard to see. The polymer in his helmet was to tight so he uncliped and put it on the ground. It has been two years sence he last walked out of that pod and cried over his wife's iced glazed body. Two years sence he first walked out of that vault and saw the wasteland he soon found out was called the Commonwealth. Those years were filled with blood and guns. Constantly running around and saving whoever he could, joining one faction after the next making settlement after settlement. He has covered the dead lands with dozens of paradises that were more then capable of watching after them self's. He had told his new friends who he had meet on his journey through the wastes. To watch after them and keep the people safe in case he ever...died.

The Survivor looked at his pipboy while messaging his face. It said he was perfectly fine, healthy as a albino ragstag. The little pipboy character smiling wide with happiness and the bar that displayed his health at full. He sat up and Dogmeat raised his head to look up at him. The Survivor stretched and cracked his neck, the normal morning routine. He looked at a tree where he had placed his weapons the night before. He pulled out his lazer rifle he had nicked named Cutter. It was a beautifully upgraded piece of prewar tech he remembered holding during his time in the wars. The wars before the bombs. He equipped it with an overload compactor, recoil reduction stock, improved long barrel, acog sight, and a improved fine tuned muzzle. The weight was nothing to him as he inspected it making sure it wasn't damaged in the fall. Apon knowing it was fine he pulled out his side arm. A advanced .44 revolver with a custom grip and glow sights. The pistol or as he called it his Hand Cannon, smiling at the memory of acquiring this weapon.

He decided to check his number of fusion cores, and he had more then enough to last him quite some time. The Survivor's life was looking pretty good right now...the same couldn't be said about his T-60f armor. The arms had gone to shit from taking multiple hits from that glowing death claw. Unfortunately he lacked the steel and platinum to repair it at the moment so he'd have to make do with what he had. He took a couple of tin cans and a alarm clock using then to repair his armor best he could. He stood up from his work just in time to see Dogmeat spring up and look toward the sky. The Survivor looked up and noticed a chariot with colors ah kin to his friend Luna he had meet last night. He smiled and decided to enter his armor, not wanting to explain his heavy set of apparel.

The Survivor walked over to where the chariot was landing. His minigun holstered and weapons on his person he stood there armor shinning in the light. The two ponies in the front had wings...still not the most amazing mutation he'd seen. They appeared to be pulling the transport and their eyes were glued to him as they landed. They were both pure white with armor made of gold. Their mains were a blue color and their muscle mass seemed...lacking to him. Then again he use to be a soldier so he couldn't be to hard on them. The door on the side opened and Luna walked out, she wore a light blue dress that seemed to look casual. He couldn't help but notice the all to visual curves she sported were...so human. Her hips her chest and her eyes...deep blue like the night sky. He noticed she was waving her hand trying to get his attention. He shook his head.

"I'm sorry, what did you say?" The Survivor asked.

"I said, how was your night? Did you sleep well?" Luna could of swore she saw him looking at her. Unfortunately his head didn't seem to have any eyes so, it was hard to tell. "I couldn't begin to think what it was like out here all alone." Luna didn't want to think about what creatures roamed around these woods at night.

"Oh, well it wasn't bad. Best night sleep I've had in a while actually." He wasn't lying, in the wastes. Having a moment of peace let alone a good nights rest was rare. Not having to worry about a raider trying to slit his throat, or a yao guai getting ready to eat him. "All honesty I was wondering something."

"And what might this be?" Asked Luna.

"What species are you like...specifically? I know your a pony and that these two are Pegasus but, what are you?" The Survivor remembered much from prewar story books for kids. These fictional creatures were always around in them.

"Well I am a alicorn. A mixture of earth, pegasi, and unicorn. I am one of four alicorns in existence." Luna stated, as she walked over to him. "I've been appointed with raising the moon, and guarding the night."

"Wait a minute here. You can move the moon? No way." The Survivor has done some strange things, teleportation being one of them. Moving the moon, was something he'd have to see to believe.

"Well wait till night, and I shall show you." Luna spoke, a smile appearing on her muzzle. "Now we must go, my sister wishes to speak with you."

"Oh umm...Celestia right?" The Survivor remembered Luna mentioning her, "isn't she like, keeper of the sun or something?"

"Yes, she is and she wishes to speak with you. She wants to talk to you and make sure you won't hurt our subjects."

"Well that's fine, I don't mind that. I just want to know when I'll be going back home." The Survivor needed to return and get back to helping the wastes. He wasn't gonna sit back and let God knows what happen to the Commonwealth.

"Yes, I'll ask my sister how if anyway possible to get you home but for the time being your in our lands. So please let's get going once my sister is done talking to you, you'll have alot of new ponies to meet." She opened the door and gestured to the interior. It looked quite nice, he was going to get inside but stopped.

"Umm..." The Survivor turned around and faced Luna, "you sure they can carry me?"

Luna looked towards the guards with a worried face as if to ask them this question. They both nodded and limbered up for the long hull. She turned back to the Survivor and gave him a thumbs up. He laughed and made his way in the wood and metal groaning under his weight. He sat back his armor making kind of hard but he made do, Luna sit across from him smiling. The chariot lifted off slow the guards having trouble but eventually soared up and flew off towards Twilight's castle.
