What once was, and is still forgoten

Previous Chapter

As they lie in the machine for about a minute or so, the sounds once heard from the outside, vanish.

"So, what is this thing any way?" Derpy asked.

"It is a machine that challenges the definition of space and time as being a continuous stream, only going in one direction." Turner replied.

"Huh?" Derpy said, quite puzzled with a stupid, yet adorable look on her face.

"I can understand if you did not quite properly perceive what I conveyed, but to put it simply it's a time machine!"

"wow, I didn't think that was possible without magic. You must be really smart!" Derpy said.

"Why thank you, now not only is the present accessible now, but also the entire existence of time is at our hoof tips."

As he finished that statement, the noise that had been absent had resumed and died off like a quiet explosion. The air coming through the ceiling vents had a much different smell and feel than before. The levers and such, which had been altered, resumed their original positions. A gauge stated the year to be about 5068 years prior to their initial location in time. Feeling the effects of his machine have been severely adverse, Turner felt the need to proclaim his distress.

"Great Whickering stallions, We went completely off our mark! We were only supposed to go back about an afternoon, but these numbers are...astronomical!"

"Well you're a genius, I know you can fix this." Derpy said with a big smile.

"I'm not sure I can, simply put...we way be stuck here for quite a while. Ohhh... what a mistake! Well at least I came prepared."

He opened the door not knowing what to expect, and to his dismay, no ponyville.

"I was afraid of this, but I'll have to gather the materials to make another machine. The one that took us here is still in ponyville. With another one we could send ourselves and the time box back to the future, but although that is important, finding shelter should be our main priority."

Though calm and collected on the outside he was panicking on the inside, but Derpy was just happy to be with the doctor. they abandoned the box for now to look for shelter, bringing the luggage that had made their trip a tight squeeze.

"Derpy, could you fly up to get a better view?" Turner asked.

"Sure." Derpy replied, while flying higher into the air to take in her surroundings.

As she glid across the sky, she saw miles upon miles of mountain ranges, and noticed that they were on the top of a mountain. She flew down to tell turner about the terrain, but then spotted something run away. Her curiosity was far to great to defy, and so off she went. Turner saw this and followed her on the ground. As she flew towards the creature , it picked up speed. Derpy, so enthralled with the chase, flew as fast as she could and collided with it. Turner, quite out of breath, finally caught up with the two. after placing his bags down neatly, was instantly shocked with surprise.

"Were on a mountain, doc!" Derpy said gleefully.

"I understand, but what is that!?!"

"I don't know?" Derpy replied, shrugging her shoulders. As the three regain their composure, they looked at each other. However, most eyes were on the creature.

"So, what are you?" Derpy asked, being the first to break the silence.

"That's rude..." The creature stated, perplexed.

"Sooooo?" Derpy continued, expecting an answer. Then the creature replied.

"I am Professor Booster."
