Human world: Area 51: 0200 hours
Two men in uniform walked along the dimmly lit hallways of Area 51. One was sporting a white lab coat and blue jeans. His grey hair was combed and trimmed giving him a clean look. Thick black glasses covered his deep brown eyes. The other man was sporting a green uniform with badges along the left side of his coat, he wore a neat looking hat with five stars on the front of it. He had a sterne face and tight muscled jaws; he walked along side the scientist at a brisk pace.
"Dr. Light, how is our little guest at the moment?" The gruff man said, as the two of them came to a halt next to some locked doors. Dr. Light was busy fiddling around with the keypad on the wall and the doors slid open with a swoosh.
"Not good General Strong sir, he seems to be awfully quiet this week. I'm starting to think that all the experaments we were doing on him might have had a negative effect."
"How negative?" General Strong demanded. Dr. Light gulped before saying,
"Why not see for yourself sir." He led the general down the hall and stopped at a large glass window. "He's there, in the corner."
Dr. Light pointed to the far left corner of the cell. The general held his poker face as he spoke,
"So, this is our new bioweapon," The general glared at the corner, he was looking at a strange bipedal cat. It had a human face and body but, it's feet and hands cat-like. The creature had a long tail and large pointed ears. It's face was covered by its long brown hair, the only thing that was visible were its white fangs and its piercing yellow eyes. It glared back at the general.
"As you can see sir, he is no longer human in appearance..."
"Are there any other side effects, you should tell me about?" General Strong cut Dr. Light off.
"Ahh, well....." Light hesitated, "It seems during all the tests on the field, it has shown some reluctance to killing any of the targets. Instead it has tried to escape on numerous occasions, and has damaged some of our more delicate equipment."
Light pointed to the other end of the room where a pile of scrap metal was lying in a smoking heap on the floor.
"As you can see all recent attemps at getting him to come out have failed."
"Well keep trying," Strong said, "I want this thing out and ready for field use by tomorrow ASAP"
"I'll get right on it sir..." Light said nervously. The general left the room leaving Light and the creature alone. He then tapped on the window to get the creatures attention, "Come on Lumin, it's time for more training."
The creature Lumin, ignored Light and glanced miserably at the wall. He didn't want to be bothered today. Light sighed and and left the room, he didn't want to be the guy who had to pull Lumin out.
Light felt some sympathy for Lumin; it was him who made Lumin, and he felt somewhat responsible for him. Light turned around and faced him once more,
"Look if it was up to me, you would be running free." Lumin ignored him, Light sighed and closed the door behind him leaving Lumin alone with his thoughts.
Lumin let out a small sigh and thought to himself,
'I really need to find a way out of here; but how can I with all this security?'
He stood up and looked around, it was then he noticed something in the pile of scrap metal. Lumin walked over to it and dug around until he pulled out a jagged piece of scrap; a thought came to him in an instant,
'*hmmm* This scrap metal seems sharp enough to cut through the glass,' He ran a small claw over the sharp edge, a small drop of blood hit the floor with a splatter, 'Seems legit, I guess it's worth a shot'
He scratched at the glass window for a full hour before giving up. The makeshift blade was now dull and useless, and Lumin was left staring at a badly scratched window.
"Son of a bi..." Lumin said as he thumped a fist on the window in anger, it shattered upon impact leaving him stunned and lost for words.
Lumin shrugged and crawled out and began his escape.
Equestria: Changling Hive: Sunset
Deep in the damp tunnels of the hive, a changling queen as black as the night sky was busy watching over the young; the little nymphs were excitable and full of energy as they ran around the room in play. Some were playfighting, while others tried to climb up the wall, only to fail and fall down and be caught by one of the drones. She had long blue hair, which covered her green slit eyes and her white fangs. She had holes on the bottom half of her legs, and on her twisted horn. Her wings were insect-like and torn, a green armor-like silk was attached to her back like a saddle; a dark crown rested on her head. Her name was Chrysalis, and she was the leader of the hive.
Chrysalis sighed as she got up from her spot and started to walk out of the room.
"I'm going out, these young ones seem to be giving me a headache and I don't want to be bothered right now." She said in a stern voice, the drones in the room that were watching the nymphs nodded and went back to work.
She stepped through the tunnels and quickly made her way outside and walked down the small pathway leading into the Everfree Forest.
