The Winter Moon Celebration was the most awaited celebration in the Natch tribe. It was a celebration that had the Moon Dance, full of songs and cheers, as it's first half, and within the second half was the Moon Ring, a magical celebration where the young that had three years as it's lifespan would venture out of the underground town for the first time and hear the tale of their race.
" Let us start with the ritual, shall we, Komet?" Asked Mond, one of the elders.
The Natch youngsters were already sorrounding the lake. Behind them, their families waited as eagerly as the young. They had heard the tale before, of course, but with each year it only seemed to become more and more magical. Komet looked around and nodded to one of the elders. " Start when you are ready, Charme."
She nodded and sighed. " Young ones, look around yourselves without moving nor making sounds. See the beauty of the night. The grace of the stars. The silence of the wind. The greatness of the Silver Moon."
Charme waited for the children to embrace it all. When she tought they were ready, she continued." Now, as you feel the night, imagine a time without it all. Without stars, moon, wind, nor night." She paused for a second." A very, very long time ago, all that existed were a group of gods. Together, they created this world. The seas, the mountains, the skies. All was created by them. And when they were finished, they split up, and marked a territory for their creations. Many legends came to be from this point, but tonight, we are interested about the future of the two pony gods. They created the ponies from their magic, and they could be flying, magic, or earth. But they also had two children: The Lunar Mare and the Solar Mare. These two were tasked for raising the sun and the moon. But let's get get back to the original gods, and the one we're interested about is King Cosmos, father of the night."
