Samantha Stevens is a witch married to Darrin Steven a mortal advertiser. After a spell gone wrong by Samantha's Aunt Clara (also a witch), Sam and Aunt Clara and Darrin are transported to Equestria specifically Trixie's failed magic show. As Aunt Clara figures out the spell she used, Sam decides to help Trixie with magic and Darrin helps with ticket sales .
