Pony Toes and Winter Snows: A Tale of Two Ticklings
It was a week before Hearth’s Warming, and everyone was excited, especially in the royal Canterlot Castle, where Princess Celestia and Luna have set up their own
“Sister, what in the name of Equestria is that by the fireplace?” Luna asked, head tilted in confusion.
“What, you haven’t seen one of these before?” Celestia countered, gesturing to the object Luna was referring to. It was a pair of plastic padded stocks colored with festive patterns of red, purple, and green. The holes where the intended person’s feet would go were given extra padding around the interior for more comfort.
“Y-yes, I know what stocks are,” Luna stammered. “It looks like you took them from the dungeon and painted it. Why are they by the fireplace?”
“Well, I was told by a friend that if I put some stocks by the fireplace, there would be someone in there on Hearth’s Warming to tease and tickle and such!” Celestia said with glee.
“And who exactly told you this?”
“Pinkie Pie, she told me this a week ago, I wanted to test it out and see if it works out!” Celestia stated, like it was an obvious fact.
Luna was speechless, she tried to come up with a response, but all that she could muster up was squinting her eyes and mouthing something that might be misinterpreted as either an insult or compliment.
“Hey, it’s worth a shot, isn’t it?”
“I seriously doubt that come Hearth’s Warming, there’s going to be some pony there in those stocks for you to tickle.” Luna said deadpan, shaking her head.
“Aw, you’re just jealous that you didn’t hear about it with me! Come on, I’ll get one for you too!”
“No no no no, it’s fine.” Luna said, waving her hands in front of her. “Look, I know how much you love tickling, but don’t you find that the chances of this actually working are very, very unlikely?”
“I said it was worth a shot, I have to at least see if it works!” Celestia smiled, patting the stocks.
“Alright, but don’t hold your breath...I can’t guarantee that those stocks will have some pony there in Hearth’s Warming…”
Celestia sighed, “Fine, fine, let’s just finish setting up, ok?”
In the following days leading up to Hearth’s Warming, things seemed pretty ordinary, and on Hearth’s Warming Eve, they ate a splendid meal, then set up their dolls above the fireplace, and after raising the moon, Luna and Celestia went to bed.
Come the time she was supposed to raise the sun, Celestia woke up. After stretching, fixing her bed-mane, and then raising the sun, she went to her sister’s bedroom to awaken her.
“Oh Luna! It’s Hearth’s Warming! Time to open our presents!” She sang, knocking on the door.
But there was no response. Celestia knocked more forcefully. “Luna, wake up, silly! Don’t you remember what day it is?”
Silence. Celestia frowned, how could she still be sleeping on a day like this? She grabbed the doorknob, twisting it to see if it was locked. Surprisingly, she opened the door with ease.
Looking in, Celestia found Luna’s bed empty, with the sheets and pillows put neatly in place, suggesting that she had recently woke up and fixed her bed before leaving.
“Hm...Where could Luna be? Maybe she’s already by the fireplace!” Celestia concluded, and raced over there to meet her sister.
Not to her surprise, Luna was there at the fireplace. To her surprise, there was a pony in the stocks she set up a week ago. Also to her surprise, Luna was the pony in the stocks, still in her pajamas, fast asleep, wrists tied behind her back, wings bound, a magic-nullifying ring on her long horn, and an assortment of tickle tools like feathers and brushes laid out in front of her bare feet.
Celestia was touched at what she saw, and she was more than eager to start using her gift right away. She quietly tip-toed over to her sleeping sister, and kneeled down by her royal blue feet, stroking her fingers up and down the soft soles. “Wakey wakey!”
Luna snorted, then she giggled, until finally she stirred awake. “Hehehehehehe...h-huh? W-where am I?”
Celestia hugged her sister, “Aw, Luna! I really appreciate what you did for me!”
Luna’s attention didn’t seem to be on how pleased her sister was, but rather her predicament. “What? How did I get here?”
“You know how much I love tickling, and so you put yourself in the stocks just to make your big sis happy? You’re the best!”
Luna started to struggle, trying to break out of her bonds. “What are you talking about? I didn’t put myself in here! Why would I ever do that?”
“Ohhh, so Pinkie Pie was right!”
“...What?”
“Remember? She told me if I set up a pair of stocks by the fireplace, on Hearth’s Warming, there would be a pony locked in the stocks!” Celestia reminded her.
“You seriously believe that’s what happened?” Luna grunted, thrashing her body from side to side.
“Alright then, you explain how this happened then! If it wasn’t Pinkie Pie’s story being true, then what happened?” Celestia smirked, crossing her arms. “Go ahead, explain it.”
Luna stopped struggling and tried to come up with an explanation. After coming up with nothing, she turned her head to face her older sister and shrugged.
“See? Now, it’s time for me to enjoy my Hearth’s Warming gift!” Celestia grinned, her fingers making their way back to Luna’s soles.
“T-Tia w-wait! Let me out of this! T-this isn’t funny!” Luna stammered.
“Oh? It’s not funny? Then why are you laughing?” she giggled, dragging her index fingers down her arches.
“Ggggkkk! S-stop! P-pleeeease!” Luna begged through gritted teeth, trying not to give her sister the pleasure of laughing.
Celestia gasped in mock surprise. “Stop? Why would I ever do that? I’m just enjoying my gift!” she started to add more and more fingers to the tickling attack, until all ten of her digits were dancing on her sister’s feet.
Luna’s eyes shut tight as she tried to stop herself from breaking out in laughter. Sadly, she wasn’t faring well. Small giggles and chuckles escaped her lips. ‘A-Aaahahahaahaa...s-stop it...Ehehehee!”
“Aw, but Lulu, don’t act like you aren’t enjoying this!” Celestia said, focusing her fingers on her arches, each movement of her fingers making those dark blue toes wiggle.
Luna was still trying her best to resist the tickling, although her sister’s comment did catch her off-guard, making her cheeks slightly redder. Despite her struggles, she couldn’t hide the fact that she still really did enjoy tickling almost as much as Celestia. Still, being locked up by her and now at her mercy...she just couldn’t give in, she just couldn’t give Celestia that satisfaction!
Celestia switched between watching Luna’s toes wiggle and her face scrunch up, both in attempts to lessen the effects of her tickling. A noble effort, but they both knew that Luna wouldn’t be able to last long. Celestia could just break her with enough intense tickling to tire out her endurance, but she had a much more devious plan.
Celestia’s fingers slowed down to a complete halt, eventually retracting from Luna’s smooth soles. “Alright, fine. I’ve had my fun, I’ll let you go.” she said in a completely serious tone.
Luna sighed in relief, flexing her toes as she looked to her older sister with hopeful eyes. “Oh, thank goodness! Please, get me out of these things so we can finally-”
“Psyche!” Celestia blurted out, quickly shooting her fingers forward, attacking right under Luna’s toes, Celestia finely manicured nails finding a spot under one of the soft toes.
“A-AAAHAHAHAHA!” Luna’s reaction was explosive. Her eyes widened as she started thrashing in the stocks, her toes wiggling around from the surprise attack.
Despite how fun it was just to watch Luna’s toes wiggle around in an adorable attempt to deflect the tickles, Celestia decided it simply would not do if she was going to tickle efficiently. Luckily, whoever tied Luna up like this also had the generosity to provide some thick string. Why they didn’t bother to tie her toes up from the beginning is a mystery, but that might just be nitpicking.
She took the string and uses part of it to tie Luna’s big toes together, and the other part to keep the knot close to the stocks. Now, Luna couldn’t shake her feet around as wildly, but she could still wiggle most of her toes for Celestia’s enjoyment.
As her toes were being tied together, Luna wasn’t being tickled. This gave her plenty of time to protest and yell at her sister for everything she’s done today, but Celestia didn’t even seem to pay attention. She was just humming away as she tied the knots.
“There we go, that’s much better, don’t you think?”
“No! This is not better in any way! Let me go, Celestia, or I swear I’ll-”
“Oh? You’ll what?” Celestia smirked, her fingers lightly drumming on Luna’s soles “Tell me, what are you gonna do? I’m curious.”
Luna froze, her bluff being called. There really was nothing she could do to fight back. She was at Celestia’s mercy.
“That’s what I thought. Now come on, just enjoy it, Lulu, you know you wanna!” Celestia smiled, her mood shifting to be more cheerful and playful. “You just can’t resist when my fingers tickle tickle tickle your cute little soles!” She giggled, her fingers dancing up and down Luna’s soles, poking and wiggling against the bare feet.
Luna began snickering through the massive grin on her face, her face red with a combination of embarrassment and the slightest hint of enjoyment. While her big toes were tied together, it didn’t stop her from wiggling her other toes, making them curl and wiggle as much as possible. “T-Teeheeheeheehee-ahahaha!”
“Ooh, you like it when my fingers sliiiiide up and down your soles, don’t you?” she teased, doing exactly what she said, her manicured fingernails gently scratching against the soft soles.
Luna’s legs bounced up and down “Y-Yehehehehes!” She squealed, her toes twitching and spreading out her round toes.
Celestia’s horn started to glow as she continued to tickle away at Luna’s scrunching soles, both Celestia and Luna’s wings were surrounded in a yellow aura, until suddenly, five feathers from both of them were plucked off. Luna was too busy laughing to notice.
Now using her magic to control the feathers’ movements, she brought them in front of Luna’s toes, the white ones in front of Luna’s left foot, and the dark blue ones in front of her right. “Oh Lulu~” she sang, slowly inserting the feathers in the spaces between her spread toes as she rested her fingers on her heels.
As soon as Luna felt the feathers slip between her toes, she froze, a wild grin stuck on her face as she knew exactly what was about to happen.
All at once, the feathers began to saw back and forth, giving a little twirl every once in a while, and Celestia’s fingers began to skitter right above the heels.
Luna started out with a loud scream, which quickly dissolved into a torrent of laughter as her head shook back and forth. Her legs bounced up and down with what little room they had, making loud clanking within the stocks. Her feet could do nothing but twitch, soft soles getting a slightly pinker tint from all the stimulation, toes twitching slightly. Every slight movement of her toes only intensified the effect from the feathers, making her toes twitch more, which created a little cycle of intense tickling.
Celestia’s verbal teasing didn’t let up, she was merciless in letting Luna know all the juicy details involved in the tickling. “You know, Luna, It’s amazing how good Alicorn feathers are for tickling. They’re so soft, yet so stiff and firm. It’s like our wings were designed not to fly, but to tickle cute little toes just like yours! Tickle tickle tickle, look at them, wiggling and flexing like that! It’s almost like they’re begging for me to tickle them. Tickle tickle! You absolutely love it when I tickle your toes, hm? And your heels, and your arches, and the balls of your feet, and your soles, and alllll over! Tickle tickle tickle! Isn’t this so much fun? I bet you’re having a blast in there, having your sensitive little feet tickled so much, feeling these fingers dance all over them…”
Despite all her loud laughter, Luna heard every word of Celestia’s taunting, and every word sent a little tingle down her spine, every time she heard her sister say the word ‘tickle’, Luna felt the ticklish sensations get a little bit more intense. She tried to communicate to her sister with words, but only laughter left her mouth. Tears flowed down her cheeks, which were starting to become more pink than blue.
Even so, Celestia was nowhere near done. There were so many more ways to tickle her, so many more tools to use, so many more teasing words, so many more spots left untickled.
And this was just her feet.
Still, she could tell that Luna was getting physically tired now. Laughter that loud surely could not last that long without her getting into coughing and wheezing. Even her shaking had become less wild.
One by one, the feathers slid out of the spaces between her toes, and her fingers slowed to a stop.
Ordinarily, Celestia would do something devious like wait until Luna had her energy back, or cast a spell for longer or unlimited endurance. But she felt that that wouldn’t be an appropriate thing to do. Besides, it was Hearth’s Warming, and Luna hadn’t fully enjoyed her gift yet.
“Alright, my turn.” she stated, untying her toes and unlocking the stocks.
It took a few moments for Luna to process what was just said. “H-huh?”
“You heard me.” She said with a smile as she removed the last of Luna’s bonds. “I think it’s time you get a little...revenge, and then we can keep swapping back and forth, we have all day to enjoy this little gift, don’t we?”
Luna was still gasping and giggling from her tickle high, it took her a minute of rest before she even got her feet out of the stocks. But when she was out, she suddenly had this unusual surge of energy as she began preparing her revenge.
Celestia sat patiently in the stocks as her sister began tying her up. Her wrists were tied in front of her, each of her toes pulled back, and instead of a horn ring, Luna opted for a blindfold. Not like Celestia would use her magic to try to escape, anyway.
As soon as Luna blinded her sister, she was silent, her fingers slowly inching closer towards Celestia’s immobile feet, deciding where to attack.
Celestia’s feet were by far larger than her sister’s, her white soles and toes pampered and loved through tons of pedicures by some of Equestria’s finest. There wasn’t a single rough patch on her feet. Her feet were smooth, soft, and incredibly ticklish. Not that Celestia minded, she thoroughly enjoyed being tickled, the beautiful appearance of her feet was just a bonus.
Luna wanted to start the tickling right away, to exact some proper revenge, but she continued to wait. Not that she didn’t find a proper starting spot, but since her sister was blinded, she could take her sweet time torturing her with anticipation. Even her love of tickling couldn’t stop the agony of waiting for something that didn’t seem to come…
Celestia shivered in anticipation, her toes barely moving in the string ties. The lack of control, the lack of vision to see what was happening, the fact that this was mostly revenge, it sent a chill down her spine, and then back up, and then back down again for good measure. She eagerly awaited for Luna’s first move, already grinning.
But there was nothing, no indication that Luna was there, the entire room had gone silent. Her ear twitched in confusion, trying to pick up some sign that she wasn’t left alone. “Luna? Where’d you go?” She called out, her grin quickly turning into a frown. Did Luna really just abandon her?
Luna began to snicker silently as she saw her sister struggle. But she couldn’t stall for too long, or else Celestia would just free herself with her magic. She placed her fingers right above her heels and started scribbling up.
Celestia squealed, her body shaking back and forth as she laughed. Her toes instinctively tried to curl, but the ties made sure that her soles remained taut, and her feet were fully exposed. “I-Is thahahahahahat your behehehehest?”
Luna smiled, shaking her head. Her sister could be tickled until she passed out, and she’d still beg for more. Perhaps they ought to find her limit, they had all day, after all. Should she keep going until she begs for mercy instead of more? It certainly would be an entertaining way to spend the day, but she had to keep in mind whatever one sister would do, the other sister would do right back. She wasn’t going to let Celestia off easy, Luna thought as she wiggled her fingertips right under her toes.
Celestia threw her head back as she howled in laughter, the blindfold doing two things to amplify the tickling. The first thing is disabling her sense of sight, it amplified her other senses, especially her sense of touch. The second thing is keeping her in the dark about what Luna was doing. Had she not had the blindfold on, her view of her own feet and where Luna was targeting would still be unseen to her, but she would still be able to see what her sister was planning to an extent. The blindfold made everything unknown to her, and she had no way to anticipate or brace herself for what could come. That feeling of helplessness and guessing made everything just so exciting!
Luna began making her fingers slowly drag down Celestia’s now pink soles, before bringing them back up right under her toes and dragging them back down at a slower pace, making Celestia squeal and beg for her sister to make it tickle more. Luna looked back behind her to see the various tools laid out. Celestia was certainly going to regret not using these first…
The first thing Luna grabbed was a small bottle of baby oil, perfect for making the skin more smooth and sensitive. She poured a generous amount into her hands before spreading it on her sister’s feet, massaging and kneading her thumbs into her soles, sticking her fingers between her toes, just to make sure that every inch was covered and her feet were shiny and smooth. At the same time, Celestia, somewhat oblivious to what was going on, moaned in delight as her tender soles were being massaged. “O-Ohhh Luna...t-that’s wonderful…”
Luna didn’t verbally respond, only grabbing two new hairbrushes and holding them right next to her soles with her magic. With a smirk, the brushes began to scrub up and down her feet, the bristles easily sliding up and down the smooth surface.
Celestia began thrashing as she slipped into absolute hysterics. Her body bounced up and down as her feet could do nothing but twitch against the swift movements of the brush.
“Having fun, Tia?” Luna giggled, awaiting for Celestia’s response, no doubt would she provide an elaborate and eloquent response…
“HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! I...I AHAHAHAHAHAHA! LUNAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA YAHAHAHAHA!”
“I’ll take that as a yes.”
Luna sat back and let her magic do the work as she watched her sister turn into a laughing mess, continuing the faux-torture until she saw the blindfold was now stained with tears. It was probably a good point to stop and swap. her horn stopped glowing, and the brushes dropped to the floor. She then began to undo all the ties she created.
Celestia leaned forward, still giggling as the brushes left their ticklish aftereffect. As soon as she felt her toes were free, they began wiggling and curling. As soon as she fully recovered and was untied, she stood up, grabbing her sister and pulling her in for a hug. “There, did you have your fun?”
Luna rolled her eyes and smiled, hugging her back. “Yes, yes, but I have a feeling that you’re not done with this yet.”
“Of course I’m not done! This is by far one of my favorite presents I’ve gotten for Hearth’s Warming! There’s still so much more we have to do!” Celestia said excitedly.
“I figured as much, I wouldn’t mind some more rounds, but can we please open our other gifts first?”
“Alright, alright, but first…” Celestia said with a smirk, before tackling Luna and pinning her to the floor, digging her fingers into Luna’s armpits.
“Ahahahaha! Nohoho fair!” Luna laughed, bringing her hands up to squeeze her sister’s sides.
As the two sisters continued their tickle fight, a lone figure observed them through the window, smiling to themselves as they pressed their pink hand to the glass.
“Ahhh, I knew that they would enjoy that gift…Celestia especially! Now I wonder what they got me!”

As soon as Pinkie Pie got to her room in Sugarcube Corner, she noticed something. It was strange, she could’ve sworn she opened every Hearth’s Warming present.
“Mrs. Cake? Did you hide another present from me?” she called downstairs.
“No, Pinkie, you found them all, I promise!” was the reply.
But something was definitely up. If the Cakes didn’t leave this present up here, who did? And what was the present anyway? The present on her bed was moving, and snoring...and also a grown purple dragon.
...Oh, it’s Spike!
Hm, was this the present that Celestia sent her?
Pinkie looked at the foot of her bed, where there was a simple cardboard box. Inside, however, was rope, a blindfold, a scrubbing brush, some body wash, a towel, and a single long white feather.
Yep, definitely Celestia’s gift.
Pinkie giggled with glee as she snuck up quietly to the bed, grabbing the pieces of rope and quickly, but quietly getting to work. She started by tying Spike’s ankles together, then his wrists. She looped a part of the rope around the balloon-shaped hole on the headboard, which was then tied to the rope around his wrists.
Her essential set-up now complete, it seemed like an opportune time to wake the sleeping dragon. Pinkie began wiggling her fingers against Spike’s soles. “Wakey wakey, Spikey-Wikey!”
Spike’s toes twitched, he smiled, then he chuckled, until he finally woke up laughing. “Hahahaha! I’m up, I’m up!”
Pinkie giggled as she stopped tickling. “Hello, Spike! Happy Hearth’s Warming!”
“Uh...H-happy Hearth’s Warming, Pinkie...Why am I tied up on your bed?” Spike replied nervously.
“Silly, it’s because you’re my present!” she replied, drumming her fingers on his belly.
“What? But Princess Celestia sent me a box and a letter saying to deliver this to your room and fall asleep on your bed for my gift...and...ohh…” Spike groaned, putting the pieces together, figuring out what was next.
“Hm, sounds to me like you’re Celestia’s gift to me! But don’t worry, I’ll be sure to give a nice gift to you!” Pinkie said, wiggling her fingers in front of Spike’s feet.
Spike’s toes curled up as he started to struggle. “Wait wait wait! C-can’t we talk about this? Can’t I just return this gift, or...or at least exchange it for something else?”
“Sorry, no refunds!” she grinned, her fingers getting closer to his exposed feet.
“Wait, wait! Please, I...uh…” Spike stuttered, desperately trying to bargain or stall his way out.
But Pinkie Pie didn’t bother listening, her wiggling fingers making contact with the dragon’s soles once again.
Spike began shaking, squealing as he rolled from side to side on the bed. He tried to bend his knees, but the ropes were tied too taut for him to retract his feet even an inch.
Spike’s feet were rather small, they could easily fit into Pinkie’s hands. Even though he had grown quite a bit over the years, he was still just as ticklish as ever, his feet especially. One swipe of Pinkie’s fingers could easily cover most of his soles.
Pinkie always had a bit of a fascination with Spike’s feet. She had several encounters tickling and playing with other pony feet, big and small, smooth and rough, clean and dirty, but they all were similar. Similar shape and anatomy, similar reactions to tickles, five toes on each foot. Spike’s dragon feet were nothing like a pony’s foot, they had a completely different shape and structure, and three toes. This made her more and more curious as to how his feet work, and more importantly, how ticklish they were. This was the perfect opportunity to have some fun, and she certainly wouldn’t pass it up, especially since it was a gift.
Spike was in panic mode. All he wanted to do was relax on Hearth’s Warming after delivering Pinkie’s present, and now it turns out that he was Pinkie’s present. The instructions were sent by Celestia, was this really just all a carefully masterminded plan by the Princess of Equestria herself in order for him to be tickled? How long was this planned? Was Luna also involved in this?
Of course, these thoughts weren’t currently at the forefront of Spike’s mind. The thoughts currently going through Spike’s mind would probably go along the lines of “Help me help me help me help me get me out get me out get me out stop it stop it get me out help me stop it help it tickles it tickles it tickles it tickles so much!”
Pinkie giggled as she watched Spike squirm and thrash. This was just her using her fingers tickling idly, there was still so much more for them to do.
Desperate, Spike tried to breathe fire to at least get Pinkie to stop, aside from the fingers scribbling on his feet, he felt the heat building up in his belly, all he had to do was release it and FOOM! No more tickling! Right?
If only it was that easy, all that accomplished was a bit of sputtering between laughing fits. Not even a puff of smoke to indicate that he had even attempted some pyrotechnics.
Pinkie smirked, turning down the intensity until her index fingers were sliding up and down his soles. She laid down on the bed next to Spike, positioning herself so that her head was near Spike’s feet and vice versa. Pinkie’s toes began wiggling on the soft pillow next to Spike’s head.
Spike’s sight slowly began making it’s way to Pinkie’s feet, a grin stuck on his face from the constant teasing fingers. They way they moved back and forth was just so hypnotizing, so much so, he didn’t realize that he was blushing furiously.
Spike never knew why he had such a fascination with feet, even his own. He just enjoyed playing with his toes, smelling them no matter how dirty they got, or just staring at his bare soles as he made them scrunch and curl. Even looking at Twilight’s bare feet stick out of the covers at night got him feeling funny, especially after he began maturing more into a grown dragon. One night, he took a risk and began greedily licking away at Twilight’s soles when she was sleeping, dragging his tongue up and down and all across Twilight’s little feet and sticking as many of those purple toes in his mouth as he could, sucking on them like a spoiled rotten child at Sugarcube Corner. It would’ve been the perfect night had Twilight not woken up after not even a minute of foot worship.
After an embarrassing explanation, Twilight explained that Spike had a foot fetish, and it was totally normal to have. Spike felt relieved that he didn’t feel weird, and Twilight even allowed him to worship her feet for the night as he experimented.
