Prologue - Being Told a Story...
Dear Diary...
Thursday, 26th June – 9:30pm
This morning, Spike woke me up with a message from Princess Celestia; I was required in Canterlot immediately; by the sounds of things it was direly important, so I rushed to catch the next train there, not even thinking about breakfast.
Upon arriving, I found Rarity, Applejack, and Pinkie there already, and we were waiting on Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash to arrive, by the looks of things, the Princess was not pleased about this at all, she seemed very stressed…
It was clearly evident that something was wrong, very wrong; I don't think I'd ever seen Celestia look so worried in all my life...
When the others arrived, she led us out of the castle as she explained to us the history of the world; she told us all about how Equus was made, and about the Holy Titans of Harmony; much like how I remember my mother telling me the stories so long ago…
She later explained how something had entered the Orb Chambers beneath the Canterlot Caves and slain the guards and sent the Titan’s Orb and Vitra’Aku; the legendary sword of the Titans, to a planet called Earth, which is inhabited by a sentient race known as ‘The Human Race’, which supposedly have technology beyond our knowledge!
I highly look forward to studying these intelligent creatures, and perhaps interact with them!
Anyway, the Princess explained that all of Equus was in grave danger, and we needed to act fast to recover the orb.
As the six of us had defeated so many enemies in the past, from Nightmare Moon, to Chrysalis, to Discord and dragons, we were selected to retrieve the orb. Ordinary hoof-soldiers wouldn’t use stealth, they’d most likely get themselves killed before they had located the orb, let alone return with it. The six of us had the brainpower and the mind-set for this task, and I knew in my heart, I wouldn’t let the Princess down…
The others went home to tell their families where they would be going, and to get their things; I was ordered to stay here in Canterlot as I had a room prepared for me. The Princess had sent a few royal maids to the library in Ponyville to keep it tidy and to look after Spike; lucky him ey…?
Friday, 27th June – 8:50am
So, today’s the big day! We’re going off to another world on our quest, I’m so excited!
Honestly, I’m not sure words can describe how excited I am, I’m going to meet these humans! I’m going to be interacting with aliens! I can’t believe it!
The Princess has explained to me that a year in their world is only a day in hours, as the space-time structure connecting their universe to ours is fractured. This works in our favour as we have much more time to find the orb, I might even have time to study the world and interact with the humans!
I’ve already had breakfast, and we’re waiting for the others to arrive, where we’ll be given our mission briefing.
Princess Celestia wants to see me after the briefing for some reason; I wonder what she wants to say to me in private…? Hm, probably just a last minute pep-talk between mentor and student…
Friday, 27th June – 1:20pm
We’ve been given our briefings and everyone is writing goodbye letters to their families.
I’ve spoken with the Princess privately, and I don’t even want to write down the things I’ve been shown…
What I thought would be an educational, thrilling quest; was nothing of the sort…
She told me what they are… Those, things…
I want to stay positive, I really do… I just want to study a peaceful alien race, but these things are nothing of the sort.
They kill, they burn, they torture, they rape, and they destroy each other’s civilisations like savages…
They use their technology for evil, and produce war machines of all shapes and sizes, including these devices called guns; they are like cannons, but much smaller and shoot sharp metal fragments that tear through flesh like a hot knife through butter… They don’t fight with honour, or with mercy… They simply lust for blood…
The Princess showed me a vision of what the humans will do if our mission fails…
What they will do to us… She showed me the future, where I saw nothing but bloodshed…
Princess Celestia has warned me to stay wary, and not to trust any of them, including the human we are being sent to for guidance. She said he will help us, but will also be our downfall in the end.
She’s made it very clear that if the human gains our friendship, he will lead the rest of his kind to our world somehow; where they will kill us all…
For once in my life, I must put my studies aside, and remember what Shining Armour told me about his military experience.
“Death is part of life Twiley, don’t let it control you. Some lives need to be taken, for others to prosper.
Should you ever be forced to take a life, or witness death as I have; you must not let your emotions take over.
You must kill your mind, to protect your life… ”
I don’t want to do this, and I’m scared…
I’m terrified, out of my wits…
I don’t want to go any more; I want to stay home with Spike, with my little boy…
But I cannot let the Princess down; she’s counting on us…
If I am to cope in the dangerous world ahead of me, I must force myself to feel no emotion.
I have to blank out my feelings, no matter how fascinating plant Earth may be.
I must kill my mind, to protect my body…
To protect my home…

Saturday, 28th June – 11:00am
My body hurts, and my head aches; travelling through that portal was one of the most painful experiences of my life. Every single part of my body felt like it was being electrocuted, every part of my body, nethers and all!
Thankfully we arrived at dawn, before the sun could rise, allowing us to set up our tents behind a large shed. I’ve activated the cloaking spell and we’re waiting for our first signs of life on this planet.
I’m worried, what if the humans attack us before we’ve even begun our quest!?
Monday, 30th June – 8:00pm
Yesterday we finally saw the humans for the first time, a large female with black hair on her head. Interesting how the rest of their bodies are hairless and they compensate with clothing.
But I cannot pay attention to that; we must find the boy, Callum Horncastle.
Wednesday, 2nd June – 7:00pm
We found him the day after my last diary entry, and we’ve been studying him closely; we’ve now witnessed the first taste of human violence, as we have watched him return from a sport called boxing, where two humans punch each other until the other is knocked out, or the timer runs out on a match.
It seems the Princess was right, even their sports are about hurting each other…
Thanks to my Watcher spell, I was able to get a good view of the boy during his boxing, I have made a sketch of it to keep record.
I must admit, the boy’s physical prowess was very impressive during his fights; with a prayer to the Holy Titans he won’t use it on us…
Monday, 7th July – 8:00pm
It’s been a few days now…
The boy interests me, for he keeps himself to himself, and rarely interacts with the mother and sibling.
He is normally on his technological contraption called a computer.
It’s quite similar to my E.M.D (Electronic Multimedia Device)
He can play video games on the device, much like the arcade games back at home, but much more advanced.
He is usually playing games that involve his character in combat, either with blades or with guns; he appears to be teaching himself how to handle weaponry through these video games. This is both worrying and fascinating…
Saturday, 12th July – 10:00pm
I had the fright of my life tonight, as the boy had overheard our conversation and had finally discovered our presence after the past two weeks.
He appeared to be very friendly, and even ended up making physical contact with Rainbow Dash.
I don’t trust him, and will keep a close eye on him. Celestia is never wrong, and I will make sure no harm will come to my friends.
Tomorrow we are leaving to find the first shard of the orb, and I have a bad feeling about what lies ahead…

Chapter Two - Unexpected Host
Sunday, 13th June – 11:00am
After announcing he was home alone, the human welcomed us into his home; I was fascinated by the amount of technology around the place, I was baffled by the microwave; a device that heats food using microwaves in a sealed box in remarkably quick times, for the humans it was nothing out of the ordinary, however it was still pretty interesting tech.
The boy made us all salad, and gave some cake to Pinkie Pie; and then we went up to his bedroom to discuss our reasons for being here. I explained to him about the Holy Titans of Harmony and the Titan’s Orb, and also that we had once been on his planet for a short period of time but had our memories wiped, upon telling him this, the boy’s face went pale; he knew something and chose not to tell us. I feel like he knows what happened why we were here, and I want to know; I’ll figure out how to extract the information out of him soon, but we have a mission to complete.
After some small-talk we discussed leaving the home and the boy explained how he wanted to fake his own death in order to give his family closure if he was going to disappear. This seriously hurt Applejack’s feelings on a level he’d never be able to comprehend; perhaps one day he’ll learn the truth about Applejack and understand the pain he caused; however it was unintentional, so I will let it go.
During the small-talk I had read up a lot on human culture and how some movies were produced entirely with computer generated animations, known as Three-D movies; and so I requested to watch one to study.
He chose a film called Kung Fu Panda, which was based on human Chinese culture, and featured talking anthromorphic animals living like regular folk; the main protagonist is a fat talentless panda who had always dreamt of Kung Fu, after a lucky coincidence he is chosen as the ‘dragon warrior ’, and goes on to become a Kung Fu master and saves his village from a mighty foe.
While I will never admit this, I think it’s safe to write in this diary…
I really enjoyed it…

Chapter Three – I don’t even WEAR pants!
Sunday, 13th June – 12:45pm
My building anxiety became too much and I finally expressed myself, I told Callum the truth about my fear and why I was so on edge. I don’t know why I suddenly opened up to him, I think it was just a random swing of emotions.
Eventually I sorted myself out and reminded the boy that he’s not my friend, the conversation was thankfully interrupted by Applejack and we quickly returned to the group.
Everyone ended up going outside to play hide and seek, which frustrated me further as I really wanted to just get on with the mission, but I guess the others needed their spirits kept high. Before the game started Callum corrected Rarity in human-speech, human abbreviations and sayings are remarkably similar to our own, just replacing hooves with hands or feet, and replacing ‘pony’ with ‘body’. There’s a very interesting similarity between our worlds, almost like they’re connected…
The game of hide and seek seemed to make everyone a little more enthusiastic, which was a good sign.
(While I had pretended to join in, I was reading up some more human lore.)
Fluttershy found Callum at the top of a tree and the group’s morale was high, which was the perfect time to bring up the subject of the quest and move things along; Rainbow Dash instantly snapped at me and we had a small argument, I guess the pressure of this task had left her with a short temper…
The boy stood up to me and made me out to be the bad guy, and so I walked off to spare a bigger argument.
We’ve barely met him, and he’s already trying to take leadership of this party, I need to put him in his place…
Edit: He’s literally just walked into my tent and played nice with me, after getting ‘over-friendly’ and putting his hand on my shoulder, I showed him that his kind aren’t the only things capable of violence when needed…

Chapter Six - New Methods of Waiting Around
Sunday, 13th June – 3:30pm
Been waiting around for just over an hour; not much to report or document.
Fluttershy and Rarity are currently sitting next to each other talking about something.
Applejack’s bucking one of Callum’s apple trees and is annoyed as no apples are falling off.
Oh, and Pinkie found an injured bee and attempted to help it by pouring some water on it.
It died.

Hello everyone.
Due to the sequel to The Titan's Orb now out and being the main focus point of my writing time, I am going to be removing Twilight's Diary.
At least for now.
I might bring it back at a later date, but as of now, this side-story is going to be removed.
I'll leave this notice out for a week before I remove it.
Sorry to anyone who enjoyed this outlook from Twilight's POV
I'm going to open up Twilight's character throughout Rising Storm, so this diary isn't overly that important anyway.

Chapter Four – Dying to free (from him)
Sunday, 13th June – 1:00pm
Just a quick entry while Callum packs his rucksack.
I am somewhat surprised, as he didn’t tell anyone that I’d punched him, but instead said he had fallen over.
I had expected him to use my outburst as a way of driving a wedge between us, but he instead covered for me.
His tactics are concerning, and I’m anxious as to what he’ll do next…
On another note, I’ve just tested the cloning spell, on the bright side, it works.
On the down side, I just had to put up with TWO of them…
And now we need to divert to another part of the country just to relocate Callum’s pets!
I know his mother is abusive, but I think she’d be perfectly capable of looking after TWO dogs!
For goodness sake…

Chapter Five - Early Complications

The group are letting out their anger by obliterating the boy’s house, and the sound of smashing and crashing is giving me a headache, I really don’t think any of this is necessary…
It’s highly uncalled for and-
I think I just heard Applejack shout “watermelon”, and a small explosion…

GAAHH!!
I HATE HIM!
He’s just stared me point-blank in the face, and told me Princess Celestia is wrong!
How DARE he!
I haven’t been here a month, and I just want to go home… I miss my Spike…
But I won’t let the princess down, this is my duty…
I just wish we didn’t have to put up with all this namby pamby business with his pets, and faking his death, and all this ridiculous nonsense that isn’t actually important! If only the group knew abou--------

Applejack just came in and had a small talk with me, she reminded me how scared everyone is, and that I just need to stay calm for everypony else’s sake.
She’s right, I just need to humour the boy for a while, if I put up with this nonsense, and he’ll surely be obedient when his services are genuinely required.
I just need to get this business out of the way quickly so we can hurry up and move out.
With that in mind, I’m going to re-join the group and get this over with…

Remarkable. Simply remarkable.
He actually killed his own clone, while that was the plan, I wasn’t actually expecting him to do it.
He’s either brave, or just as psychotic as I thought, I’m staying with the latter.
I’ve just teleported him and Rarity and his dogs to the given location, hopefully they won’t take too long.
Once he returns, we can finally get this show on the road.
On a side note, I knew he wasn’t letting on to how much he knew.
He was aware that a day in our world is a year in this one; and there was no possible way he could have gotten into my saddlebag and found my notes.
I want to know what he knows.
And I won’t let my guard down until I do…
