Moonlight Glimmer, the hybrid of a dragon, pony, and demon, (not a hybrid by birth) is in search of the worst of villians to ever exist: Queen Chrysalis, King Sombra, Lord Tirek, and "The Great and Powerful" Trixie his family. After years and years of hiding his past, wishing for the family he once had, and being ran out of towns for being the hybrid he is, he reaches out for help from the only ponies he could ask. All the while a certain Filly starts to develop feelings for Moonlight Glimmer. With his intelligence and knowledge of magic technolog, and engineering and the help of Twilight Sparkle and her friends, hope rises in him.

Prologue

The moon barely shone it's light in the everfree forest. Forever lightless it shall be. It's ugly and dark atmosphere made it a rightful home for the horrid creatures that lurked within. Moonlight loved it; the vomit green Marsh of grass, the disfigured trees of red wood and blue leaves. He walked casually through a path he made earlier in the day. His pony hooves stomped on whatever vines or fallen branches on the ground. Moonlight cut down whatever stood in his way with his dragon claws. Following the trail to his destination became darker and darker with every step.

His lapis blue cat eyes began to glow slowly as well as his hands. "Almost there." He muttered to himself. Moonlight treaded for hours through this Celestia-forsaken forest— hunting animals for food.
