Trixie, the Creator of the Pony Prison
A Letter from my Sister: 3
Previous ChapterNext ChapterI had just found a letter in my mailbox; and as I read the address, I realize it is from my sister. This feels like the excuse I had been looking for, in order to finally go and see her at the cottage. Maybe I didn’t really need an excuse, but once I had read the letter, I had to go to see her.
In a way; I had been looking forwards to go there, I just never had gotten around to take the trip. Am I lazy, or had I been waiting for her invitation? Yet, now she had invited me, which is forcing my hand; I can’t turn down her open invitation.
I had the letter in my hand bag, as I walked to the bus. The trip wasn’t all that long, which only begged the question; why I had I been stalling, never really getting to take the trip in the first place. It is silly, really.
Of course it is her handwriting; not that I had bothered to have it authenticated, but I do recognize her writing well enough to say that it is hers now.
As it turned out, the bus even stopped at a convenient distance from her home. Of course I had made the effort to check where to jump off of the bus, I have no intent of getting lost on the trip to my sister. Since she had invited me, I had to go; but she had never asked for me to confirm, so I simply chose the nearest convenient bus over.
Convenient is just after work, on Friday afternoon. She had never specified how long she had expected me to say, but I was expecting her to like to see me for more than the hour, I had expected the explanation she had promised me to take.
Once I had arrived, I simply gave her door a courteous knock; once, twice and thrice. I expected it to let on that I am here, why do I need anything more; besides, too insistent would have been rude as well.
There are noises from inside the cottage, and a girl is coming to the door. The door goes up; and I see a girl, other than my sister.
“Welcome, please enter. Your sister is waiting for you!” Trixie explained; as she stepped out of my way, as she was bidding me to come in.
“Hiya, and thank you. I hope she is doing well!” I put forth, as I walked into the hall and closed the door behind myself.
“Oh, but how rude of me; I forgot to introduce myself, my name is Trixie and I am a new friend of your sister’s!” Trixie continued, while I was walking from the hall towards the kitchen.
“Oh, hiya, Trixie. Are you by any chance part, of what she had intended to tell me about; as I came over?” I inquired.
“As a matter of fact, yes; she very much is!” came the voice of my sister, from inside the kitchen.
“Hiya, Sis!” I exclaimed in response, before I had even seen her face.
Of course, there is no mistaking her voice. I am just momentarily taken aback, by the unexpected revelation, standing before me. Once I had connected the dots, I know she is my sister.
Looking closer at the Pony before me; I could even make out the mark on her flanks, even if I don’t know what they are; or what they are representing.
“I can see the shock on your face and had been expected you to be a bit confused, by what I had to explain. I need you to see us with your very own two eyes, in order to explain it all!” she pointed out.
“It isn’t every day your sister is turned into a Pony!” I merely pointed out.
“No, which is good; even if you had had a few more sisters. I don’t blame you for not coming over to my cottage each and every day, but I have been feeling a bit lonely from time to time. Now I have been blessed, by finding someone to share my home and my days with; hope you don’t mind my choice, or the girl I chose to live with!” I explained in short, to begin with.
“I guess I could have liked to have one more sister or brother, but I am quite fine with just the one I got; which is you, my dear Sis. We both do have our own and separate lives, we can’t crowd one-another’s home each day; but you do have a point, I could have been over to see you a few times more often. Before I know her, I can’t have an opinion of her; I need to get to know your Trixie, before I can pass down any kind of judgment over either of you!” I responded.
“You know, Lime; I am already starting to like your sister quite a lot. If it isn’t too much to ask; I think I would like to show you a secret and offer you something a little special!” Trixie incited openly.
“Thanks, Trixie. If it is what I think you are suggesting; that would probably be a fun idea, to explore!” Lime added cheerfully.
“The way you put it; are you suggesting that I try out to become a Pony, just like my sister?” I responded, not knowing on which leg I am to stand.
“If that is your choice, I would be happy to let you try it; yet I have the impression, you would like to see the options before you make your choice!” Trixie explained.
“Options, choices? I think I like that idea!” I put forth.
“Which is exactly why I mentioned that. I like options and choices as much as the next gall, so I expect others to see things the same way; even when I know some do prefer to just have the path pointed out, to them!” Trixie responded, with a hint of a giggle to her voice.
“I am a follower of Options and Choices, pure and simple. May I see your options? So I could make up my mind and decide which I prefer, for myself!” I prompted firmly.
