Right there in front of me, stood the girl that stole my heart. Whenever I saw her, she would send a shiver of pleaser down my spine. Whenever she looked at me, it made my heart flutter with joy. Her gaze held everything about her, to me. Her beautiful looks kept me fixated on her. She was, undoubtedly, the most gorgeous girl I had ever met. Nothing was a miss on her. She was perfect. We were perfect. Together.
Our love for each other was so strong, that I'm sure you wouldn't be able to cut it apart. She would always make up silly excuses for being right by my side, but, I could never, EVER turn down an adorable, shy girl like her, Her timid ways always made me smile, it would brighten up my day. The way she spoke, the gentle tone in her voice. And her smell. The aroma always loved tantalizing me. She would always smell like lavender and old books. There was nothing wrong with that, in fact, she smelt like a flower blossoming in the spring. I could sit there all day, right next to her. Nothing would change her for the world. She was my girlfriend.
"Umm... Sunny, where are you exactly taking me?"
Not knowing what I was even doing, I finally recalled back to reality. Finally realising what she had just said, I needed to reply, not revealing anything.
"You'll see." I replied in a hushed voice.
I could see the curiosity in your face. Gosh, you were so damn cute when you had that expression on your face. Your intricate countenance just makes my heart leap out of my chest. Every face you pulled as you were thinking, made my anticipation sky rocket. I had to wait, I planned this out perfectly. Every day, I was working on this very moment. However, you never knew. It was all a secret. And now, this day had finally come. I couldn't back out now.
She couldn't tell, but I was nervous, extremely nervous. I had to keep my head high though, so she couldn't think anything was suspicious. Although I like it when she goes full on lecture mode, this had to stay hidden. All I had to do was keep calm and stay confident.
Where was she taking me? I couldn't tell. I had so many questions pumping through my head that I couldn't dare to ask. I knew she had been planning something for weeks. All the times I saw her hide something from my sight. All the times I saw a huge pile of paper in the trash can. I missed all her warmth, the joy she bought to my heart. I never could stay away from her to long. On the other hand, I knew this moment was special to her, so I let it past,
"Why are we going in the directions of the Everfree forest?" I asked her. Damn it! My curiosity got the best of me. Nevertheless, I still was inquisitive for another answer. Mostly, I just wanted to hear her gentle voice again. It always made me feel like I was in heaven.
"Like I said, you'll find out soon, Sparky." She reciprocated. Come on, I just wanted a tiny, little bit of a hint. I was supposing she wouldn't tell me, so I didn't bother asking.
She led me on further and further, until we reached the outskirts of the forest. A lump formed in my throat. Going into the Everfree at night was not an idea I had in mind. However, her by my side made me fill more relaxed. But, I was still shaking.
"Take my hand and you'll be safe, I promise." She simpered reassuringly. I didn't hesitate, I took her hand instantly, her fingers intertwining with mine. She gave me a warm smile, which made all my nerves drain right out of me. I never miss trusted her, I believed in every word she said. Ok, maybe sometimes she would lie and I couldn't tell. But, I could tell when she was trust worthy, which her expression was showing right now.
I could tell she was scared. Her face could tell it all. However, it turned into a bright smile the second our hands interlocked. I have to admit, I was scared she was gonna be oblivious to my gesture. Yet, I knew she would obligate.
I led her into the forest with as much confidence on my face as possible. I could feel my insides tensing up. Time was ticking away, it was getting closer to the moment. What I intended to do was edging that bit closer. I kept checking the watch on my wrist every few minutes until suddenly, I heard a rustle of leafs right beside me.
Her grip quickly tightened. Her body started to tense. She quickly hid behind me and buried her head into my hair.
"Twilight, baby, it's ok." I reassured her, thinking how frightened she must of felt. Unexpectedly, a rabbit hopped right passed me, stopping and looking at me with a confused face. "Look, it's just a rabbit." She slowly looked over my shoulder, adjusting her glasses, sighing in relief that we weren't in danger. It quickly hopped away into the trees, trying to make out that nothing had happened.
We carried on down the path, making our way to an opening at the end of the forest. I never let go of her hand, I loved it when we kept hold of each other. This time though, she kept giving me little pecks on my cheek. I always felt warm inside when she did that, I never wanted this moment to end. But, we finally reached the little opening that was looking out all over Ponyville. Her eyes widened with pure joy, but she still held the same look she pulled earlier on.
"It's beautiful Sunset, but, why are we here?" She asked questionably. Why, I would of loved to tell her, still, I had to leave her waiting. Honestly, it broke my heart that I thought that. Though, I kept my spirits high, knowing it would be totally worth it in the end. I strolled over to a spot, leaving her dazed and confused.
"Just come and sit here to enjoy the show." I padded a spot next to me for her own butt to sit on. Gradually, she made her way over to me and sat down.
"Enjoy the show?" She queried, looking curious as to what I meant.
"Look up at the sky and it should start right about... now!" I blurted. Just then, a rain of meteors rained down from the starry sky. They all carried different colors of the rainbow. I timed it just right, perfect. My, it was a pretty sight. And I saw that she though the same. Despite that, I had something else on my mind. I reached for the pocket of my leather jacket and pulled out a small, black box. I had been waiting for this moment for ages.
"It's.. beautiful Sunny, I don't know what to say?" You gapped in amazement. "This kind of meteor shower only ever happens once every 30 years, I can't thank you enough for showing me this." Immediately, your face fell into another confused looked. "But, why did you bring me here? I mean, it's a beautiful sighting, truly, but, how come you picked such a quite, subtle place. Were not even here on a picnic or date." I swallowed hard, my throat became dry. It was now or never.
"Twilight..." I managed to say. I started to tense up. Drips of sweat started to form upon my brows. However, kept my head high. I took your hands into mine and stood you up with me. "I've loved you for so long. I never thought that you would grab my heart in such a sweet way."
She looked at me with a look that read 'I know'. I carried on.
"My love for you has you has only grown for the past year. I love spending every second with you. Every time I see you, you make my heart pound out of my chest. Your eyes are so perfect, so gorgeous. I devoted most of my life to you to make you happy."
Again, she looked at me, however, this time with a more 'thank you' look.
"So I will tell you this. I want to devote all of my heart to you. I want you to be mine forever."
I got down on one knee, shaking in the process. Her eyes widen as she realises what I'm doing. I grabbed the black, leather box, slowly opening it to revile a golden ring, embodied with a rose red ruby.
"Twilight Sparkle. Will you marry me?"
It was done. The question had been asked. All I had to do now was wait on the reply. This could go two ways.
I froze on the spot. The world around me spinning out of control. I couldn't think of a reply. She was devoting her whole life to me, handing her hand to me in marriage. I didn't want to break her heart, but I wasn't sure if I was ready for this mile stone in life. This is what she had been planning for weeks. Every day she spent away from me was to plan this moment. I just couldn't believe it. How could of it taken so long? Maybe she was thinking of many different ideas, that would explain the huge pile of papers I found in the trash can. I realised I had been standing their for a few minutes. I knew she must of felt heart broken. I snapped back into reality, looking down at the ring, sparkling in the moonlight. I looked back up at her, a big, cheesy grin making it's way across my face.
"Yes... yes, yes, yes, yes. I will marry you."
Oh, my, gosh, she said yes. I couldn't believe it. She had have her hand to me in marriage, she had accepted my offer. Before I could think even more, I was tackled to the ground by the teary, cute girl. I gripped onto the box, not letting go of it. Her lips quickly met mine. Them soft, purple lips. I quickly returned the gesture, nothing could beat this moment in life. For a few minutes, we shared a sweet and passionate kiss. Finally, our lips parted.
"I love you." She whispered. Tears running down her face.
"I love you too." I replied. Tears also running down my face.
I had a long future ahead of me that I was gonna share with my angelic and ambrosial wife-to-be. All I knew was that both of us didn't know what that future could hold.
