Lightshadowverse part 1: A new Start

The moon shined into an old dusty room, as the sound of a creaky wheelchair rolls in. To show a weak old man, he moved his hand over to a picture of a young man next to a slightly younger person in a juggernaut suite holding a riot shield.

‘Sir Filed Marshal Lightshadow is not coming back’ a person said as he walked in.

‘Don’t give up hope Jackson he might come back’, the old man said not looking away from the picture.

‘Commander Lewis you have to understand there is no way of getting to Equestria, also why would he come back? I mean you put him through hell, killed his team and made him a monster’ Jackson said starting to lose his cool.

‘I combined him with a phoenix, it was the perfect idea he is now a power hou....’ Lewis was cut off by a bright light appearing in front of him

‘Could it be?’ Lewis asked his eyes gleaming, the biggest grin on his old wrinkled face.

As the ball of light started to fade, it revelled a figure standing 6 foot 7 inch.

‘Hello Lewis’ the figure said as he walked over to the old man, punching him square in the face.

Lewis held his face as he felt something warm run down his face “you made me bleed’ Lewis yelled.

Walking back over to Lewis the figure took off his helmet to reveal a black hair early twenty year old man, who was grinning from ear to ear.

‘Made you bleed? What about when you injected the phoenix blood into me, made the phoenix wings rip out my back? Hrmmm remember that old man’ the figure said.

‘How could I forget Lightshadow, you were so young, so many tears and so much blood’ Lewis spoke as a grin appeared again.

This drove Lightshadow over the edge he grabbed a knife and shoved it into the old man black heart ‘Jackson you are free to go’ Lightshadow said still looking at the old man.

‘Thank you sir enjoy yourself’ Jackson said as he left the room

As soon as Jackson left the room Lightshadow walked around with a jerry can humming all the way ‘why did you leave Lightshadow and show our true colours?’ Lewis asked all the while still bleeding.

‘WHY?! Heh why do you think? First you take a 10 year old child away from his family, next when he turns 13 make him a monster and finally at 15 kill the team he worked with just for fun that’s why when the portal came I gladly jumped in, show the truth? The world needed to know the truth. You think the Dark Phoenix were good? Well the whole world thought so to, so I showed them the truth’

As Lightshadow finished his rant he also finished pouring out the fuel ‘you were the only who survived that experiment the phoenix blood one that is so many lost too much blood’.

‘You know in the 10 years I spent in Equestria I had suffered from terrible nightmares and the two ponies who cared for me tried their best to help me bu....’ Lightshadow was cut off by Lewis.

‘DID YOU SAY PONIES?!’ Lewis yelled

‘Yes I did also that knife wound won’t kill you, but I’m getting side tracked the one I treaded as a mum Celestia I think it was. When I appeared there I was her eye level but now I’m taller than her horn, then the other one Luna I think it was became my auntie there Alicorn. Basically an Alicorns are combined of a unicorns magic, Pegasus flight and earth pony strength. But there have only been two so far…nope sorry three. Celestia raises the sun; while Luna raises the moon she also controls dreams. So back to these nightmares I would cry my eyes out every night seeing flashbacks of this place and all the pain and loss I had seen I would cry for my mum next thing you know Celestia runs in holding me tight soothing me soon followed by Luna I must have been 17 when I called Celestia mum for the first time. I felt embarrassed but she just smiled and said “shhhhh its ok mummy is here” I still had the nightmares until a few months back.’

Lightshadow grabbed a chair and sat opposite Lewis who was just looking at him with utter shock. ‘Anyway a new Alicorn has just been crowned his name was nightmareshadow his body was black with red marking on his body like a zebra really, he controlled nightmares and helped to stop mine nightmares but not at the source, he told me if I wanted to stop it I will have to confront the source YOU’ As Lightshadow finished he looked Lewis dead in the eyes.

‘So what took you so long?’ Lewis asked in an angry tone Lightshadow just smirked.

‘Celestia said the only way to do it was with the elements of harmony so on this night Luna had enough of Ponies sleeping through her night she had turned herself into nightmare moon, next thing you know. Celestia and nightmareshadow are against her in a fight but on this night is when I showed my true colours seeing Celestia fall as well as nightmareshadow I just lost it, one moment I’m bent over Celestia the next part of the ground are rising up with me as I start to glow of course this got Celestia and nightmares attention as well as Nightmare Moons then a fire ball engulfed me, of course being my mother Celestia tried to help me but was stopped by Nightmareshadow who just shook his head and grinned. Next thing you know this big fire ball explodes and in the middle me, my phoenix wings stand out on fire, my hands starting to glow as I fired a beam at nightmare moon which she contradicted with her own one. Giving a good chance for Celestia to get ready to use the elements but I got hit by one of nightmare moons blows I fell to the ground. As Celestia fire the elements they hit nightmare moon sending her to the moon but after they hit her they hit me healing me then, next thing you know the portal open I look at Celestia and Nightmareshadow grab my riot shield, nod to them and say “I’m gonna tie up some loose ends then I will be back” and that’s it’

Lightshadow said as he leaned back in his chair with his free hand a little fire appeared the it became a ball that he threw up and down in his hand ‘I’m still getting use to control fire and the wings but I will handle it’ then Lightshadow threw the fire ball at the door, causing it to hit the door and fall on the floor into the fuel.

‘No’ was Lewis could say before the whole room went up in flames he was quickly surrounded by the flames ‘help me Lightshadow’ he wailed.

‘Nah remember why I came getting rid of loose ends also with you gone no more nightmares so bye Lewis it has not been an honour’ Lightshadow as the portal re-appeared.

‘I will have my revenge Lightshadow’ Lewis yelled as Lightshadow disappeared again leaving the old man to his fate.

Lightshadow flew through the portal and wondered at what time he would land.

Meanwhile

‘Hahahahahaha face it Twilight Sparkle you could have never stopped me for I am NIGHTMARE MOON’ Nightmare Moon said as she looked over to Twilight and her friends who she had trapped in her magic.

‘Let us go’ Twilight said while struggling to get free.

‘Oh I don’t think so Miss Sparkle’ Nightmare moon said ‘but be prepared for your exactions girls’ Nightmare moon grinned as see fired a big black beam towards the girls as it travelled towards the girls, a blue circle appeared in front of them to show Lightshadow.

As I came back I looked to the six ponies that were trapped with shocked looks on their faces mostly for seeing a human for the first time, I then turned around to see a black blob coming towards me thinking fast I got my shield in front of it closed my eyes, hopping for the best. As the beam hit the shield my feet were sent back I little but not off them.

Nightmare moon waited for the smoke to clear when she did, it was a big shock for her ‘hello Nightmare Moon miss me?’ a voice said, a voice she knew far too well.

‘How are you alive it’s been a thousand years’ Nightmare Moon yelled.

‘Wow a thousand years last time I was here was a thousand years ago but meh you know time travel and all’ Lightshadow as he was starting to mock Nightmare Moon.

‘I will blast you into next week’ Nightmare yelled yet again.

‘Hey calm down nightmare I’ve got a thousand years to catch up first and oh wait right girls’ Lightshadow said as he looked at the main six ‘look if you’re here to stop nightmare moon then get ready I will keep her busy’ Lightshadow as he let off a grin from behind his helmet.

‘As I watched this creature run straight into nightmare moon I looked over to my friends who smiled at me

‘Let’s do this Twilight’ I heard Rainbow dash yells.

My thought were cut short when I heard a pain fall yell I snapped my neck to where the sound had come from it was the creature something in me hurt so I ran over to him using my magic I pulled off his helmet and sore he had something red coming from the top of his head it was blood, ‘your hurt’ I said a few tears going down my eyes oddly and shockingly he wiped them away .

‘Go stop her already’ he said with a smile on his face.

As I ran back to my friends we rose up as our elements combined it was going for Nightmare Moon but instead hit the creature he then turned golden and rose up.

‘so nightmare moon seems I can control the elements and don’t ever forget this name my name is LIGHTSHADOW’ he yelled as he fire the elements at nightmare moon as she was covered in the elements when the dust clear all was left a Luna and Lightshadow where had I heard that name before.

Seeing Luna there I ran over to her and hugged her ‘you know it’s a crime to hug royalty?’ a voice said behind me.

‘You know it bad to get the time travel spell wrong as well Celestia’ as I finished I was lifted up and in a back braking hug.

‘Ohhhh I’m so glad you back Lightshadow I’ve missed you so much it’s been too long’ Celestia said as she was crushing Lightshadow

‘Mum…neeed…….air.’ Lightshadow  said as he was then crushed even more another pony ‘Hello….Luna’

‘It’s been many a moon since we have seen the’ Luna said with a big smile on her face. Lightshadow final got free from their death hug and giving himself a second to catch his breath again.

‘Wow my shield took some hits but still in one peace? That’s why I love this thing’ Lightshadow said as he turned back to Celestia who was very happy to see her sun again.

‘(Ahem) would you like to explain what you are and who?’ Applejack said looking a little worried.

‘Oh right sorry’ Lightshadow said as he turned to the girls going down to their level ‘My name is Field Marshal Lightshadow and I’m a human’

‘Celestial warrior Lightshadow’ Celestia said from behind him causing Lightshadow to roll his eyes.

‘Anyway what are your names?’ Lightshadow asked the girls.

‘oh my gosh oh my gosh oh my gosh you’re the Lightshadow as in Celestia warrior the one who had defeat countless monsters over a thousand in the name of saving the crown?’ Twilight asked her eyes being very big and a little sparkle in them as he was starting into Lightshadow soul.

‘Erhhh yeah why?’ Lightshadow asked being very confused.

‘You’re a living legend, a hero of Equestria my nephew’ Luna said walking towards Lightshadow.

‘Cool’  Lightshadow was all he could say.

Twilight composed herself ‘sorry had to get that out’ Twilight said letting off a cutie smile.

‘You’ve got a cutie smile there’ Lightshadow said causing twilight to blush.

‘Anyway my name is Twilight sparkle number one student of Princess Celestia’ Twilight said with a smile.

‘Lucky you being taught by my mother’ Lightshadow said with a sly grin as he shook Twilight hoof.

Next to walk up was Applejack ‘howdy name Applejack’ shaking her hoof turned out to be a problem as his whole arm went up and down very fast.

‘Nice to meet you applejack’ Lightshadow said trying to recover from her hoof shake.

After Applejack Rarity came up ‘Pleasure to meet you Lightshadow’

‘The pleasure is all mine Lady Rarity’ Lightshadow said as he kissed her hoof.

‘Such a gentlecolt’ Rarity said almost fainting. Next up was Rainbow dash.

‘Sup Rainbow Dash is the name Equestria fastest flyer’ Rainbow said giving Lightshadow a hoof bump.

‘When I learn how to use my wings I might take that from you dash’ Lightshadow said with a grin.

‘Wings? What wings?’ Pinkie pie asked.

‘These bad boys Lightshadow said as he let his wings unfurl’ all the girls gasped as Lightshadow made another fire ball appear, let it glow before he blew it out of his hand to turn into a small fire phoenix that dispread a few seconds later.

‘Wings and magic?’ Twilight asked shocked ‘but how?’

‘Tell you later’ Lightshadow said in a casual tone.

‘HI I’M PINKIE PIE’ as a pinkie blur covered Lightshadow’s face.

‘Great to meet you pinkie’ Lightshadow said as he pulled her off.

Finally Fluttershy walked to Lightshadow rather timidly ‘my names is Fluttershy’ she said quietly.

‘Well nice to meet you to Fluttershy’ Lightshadow said as he let off a small smile to which she returned.

‘Right Luna’s I’m back I think this calls for a..’ Lightshadow was cut off by pinkie pie.

‘PARTY’ she yelled as she got a party cannon out of nowhere.

‘Yea that’ Lightshadow said with a grin on his face.
