Chapter 1: The Day That Spelled The Downfall Of Equestria

Celestia was busy sorting out books when Twilight found her in the castle. Unusual, seeing as she's always dealing with Equestrian business. Twilight said "Princess Celestia?"

She spooked Celestia and she ended up bonking her head on the top shelf. Rubbing her horn, she asks "Yes, Twilight?"

"I was just looking for you. I wanted to see what this book was doing on your throne."

The book she was levitating towards Celestia had a golden goblin grinning with red ruby eyes that glistened in the castle window’s sunlight.

Celestia knew what that book did. She didn't trust anypony but herself with it. Not even her most faithful student.

"Thank you my student", before taking the book and putting on the top shelf. "I was looking for this for quite some time."

But Twilight knew sometime was up. She knew that she was always present at her throne. She thought nothing of it until it was night-time.

She couldn't help but wonder, "What was in that book?" She couldn't help but let her mind wonder. It even kept her from getting sleep.

The next day, she was going to make herself breakfast, but she was so tired she fell down the stairs while snoring. Twilight was snoring out loud, hasn't had anything to eat, and was losing track of time. When she woke up, it was the same time of night as it was yesterday. Twilight had gotten all the sleep she needed. She was never able to get sleep during the day, because her friends would wake her up. So not being able to get any sleep, Twilight just layed there, with her rear hoofs lying on the bottom stair, pondering on why that book in particular was so special. She couldn't take it any more. She had to know. So she rushed out the door, got a hayburger before taking to the skies to Canterlot.

Despite being a princess, Twilight was not able to get into Princess Celestia's castle. But as she was about to fly home, she remembered, she could teleport. But just before she was getting ready to, she saw a mysterious figure. They looked like trouble. Twilight hid among the shadows. They were wearing a cowboy hat, and they were carrying a satchel. They had a gruff voice as they spoke. "I'm here to see her royal highness." But for whatever reason, they were allowed to go in. Twilight didn't have time to think about it however, so she then teleported into Celestia's library.

Twilight knew she wouldn't have time to read this book, she would have to teleport to her home with it. However when she got to the top shelf, the book was gone. With that Twilight saw Princess Luna and the cowboy hat pony from earlier. They pulled out a rose for her. Luna definitely looked flattered. Twilight snapped back into reality, got down and processed to teleport out of the castle until she saw a familiar glimmer. She found the book she was looking for because the book glimmered in the sunlight. Twilight’s horn was generating a faint glow, so she was able to see the lightly glowing goblin from the book. She put it in her mouth. She took one final look at Luna and the cowboy hat pony having their simple chat until, something caught Twilight's eye. The cowboy hat pony was leaning slightly foward, and Luna was flustered, to say the least. They took off the hat to reveal a lewd look aimed at Luna. Twilight just couldn't seen to pull herself away from the situation she was in. Then they locked lips. Twilight's jaw nearly hit the ground when she saw them kissing. Whilst kissing, the cowboy hat pony threw the hat at the window, causing a unexpected amount of noise in the general area, and with that, she teleported out of the castle back to her house.

Twilight had done it. No one knows, and now, she has the opportunity to read the book. She kept telling herself "Just read it, then return it before sunrise." But when she opened the book, it was nothing but a bunch of incantations written in a dark red colour. The pages were stained with the same dark red colour. She thought "Well, I got this far. There is no sense in stoping now." But as she about to read it aloud, there was a knock on the door.

Twilight threw the book over to her bed, and slowly walked towards the door. She opened it and when she did, it was that same cowboy hat pony from earlier. "Howdy, Twilight! Nice to meet you! Sorry if I woke you up. How are you?"

Twilight was speechless. She had no idea what to say. Her heart was pumping out of her chest. She didn't know what else to do except let him into her house. After she closed the door, the cowboy hat pony immediately trotted in the stairs. They found the book and then when Twilight saw him take the book and put it in the satchel, they noticed and they easily managed to grab Twilight with their magic. They kept slamming the purple alicorn onto the floor and the ceiling until she was unconscious. She was thrown out the open patio window, and ended up in the Everfree Forest. She was out of it.

But after a few minutes, as she was waking up, she saw a colt walking towards her beaten body. He picked Twilight up and took her deeper into the Everfree Forest. Twilght was mysteried by the colt so casually carrying her through. This colt was a pegasus with blue skin, had an rugged baby blue scarf, and a even more rugged brown haircut. After a while, Twilight became oddly sleepy. The colt covered his mouth with the scarf. Twilight's only assumption was that there was some kind of sleep gas in incapacitate anyone that goes this deep into the Everfree Forest. After crossing, Twilight was getting closer to passing out. The colt finally stopped. He went into some cabin in the middle of the Everfree Forest. He tucked Twilight into the bed, and wrote a note for her to read before she fell asleep. It read "You are welcome. By the way, the name's Loyal Crusader." And with that information, Twilight quickly drifted off to bed...

On that particular night, Twilight's dreams were a bit hazy. She saw herself walking over to the cowboy pony. They slowly turned their head towards Twilight. They had decayed, with worms bursting out of their eye-sockets, their body smelling like raw meat and the hat was even torn and ruined. Twilight quickly stepped back into someone, but before she could look at them, she quickly saw that there was not one, but one hundred deceased pony carcasses. They all started to fall upon her they collapsed onto her, crushing her to near breaking point. Loyal Crusader sprinted into view before getting taken down by the pony caresses. Twilight heard a voice minutes after the body fell. In a tough, feminine tone, the voice echoed...

"Since when were YOU the one in charge of EQUESTRIA?"
