Author's Note
In this world Dark Magic is almost unheard of because the Princesses made it forbidden to acknowledge its existence but neglected to have all known knowledge of it destroyed. (Ironic huh) And Luna was never imprisoned in the moon. (For reasons of course) Also I hope you like this and leave a comment after the story.
A "Beautiful" Day.
It was a bright and beautiful morning in Canterlot there were birds singing, a gentle breeze blowing through the streets and everypony just seemed to have their best in-store for the coming day. And no-pony could be happier then a certain Unicorn named Twisted Paradox a Time spell Teacher at the newly formed and opened "Celestia's School for Gifted Unicorns". He was tall (for the average Unicorn) with a Blackish Grey coat and a Short Scraggy Whitish Grey mane/tail with red highlights and he wore an all Black slim Duster, his Cutie Mark was a Gold Pocket Watch falling into a infinitely looping vortex (predominately in time). He was excited, because after being an Apprentice to the great Star Swirl The Bearded for many years, and the first pony ever to discover time magic, he could teach all that he has learned to a class of young Unicorns and help turn them into strong, powerful Adults ready to take on the challenges of the world. He got to the School and went to his assigned Classroom, it was still early so no Fillies were there yet, but it gave him the time to set up and such when by the time he was done the first bell had rang and he could see students running up to school with eager expressions on their faces that made Twisted say "Today is going to be a Great Day".
After the last bell rang and the students had all left Twisted fell face first unto his desk exhausted from all the running around to different students asking for help or a better demonstration of the spell he was teaching compared to the one he showed all of them at the beginning of the lesson or even to use the restroom. He never knew it would have been that difficult to teach fillies, of all the Apprentice classes he took in teaching none of them had ever tired him out this much. "Maybe this was a bad idea after-all" Twisted said to him self remembering how Star Swirl had told him that a real class of fillies would be to much for him. But he raised his head from the desk and said "No I said I would do it and do it I shall, even if it kills me." With new found determination he packed up his things and started out the School towards his home/laboratory. When he got back he put his Duster on a coat rack and went down stairs to his lab to work on a new spell that he had been working on for months. It would be the time spell above all time spells, one that would allow any pony to have control over time, however every time he tried to cast the spell it would just fizzle out and do nothing, and he knew it was not a matter of power for he had asked Star Swirl, Princess Luna and Princess Celestia to try it with (as odd as it may seem) the same outcome. It was starting to anger him and he'd recently given up hope, but today during his lunch break he over heard some students talking about something know as Dark Magic from a book they read which was supposed to be 100x's as powerful as regular magic, but they quickly stopped talking when one noticed Twisted was listening in on them. He thought to himself 'why have I never heard of this magic and if he never did why did they know.' This was something he needed to find out about.
After eating something he went to the local Library and started searching for books about Dark Magic, but found only vague descriptions of it in a sparse amount History Books and when he asked the Librarian if there were any more books on Dark Magic she simply said that she had little knowledge of it and that what was there was what she had and that there was nothing more she could. This sadden Twisted, but only briefly for he remember a place with vast amounts of books and other stored knowledges The Royal Canterlot Library. Wanting to waste no time he quickly teleported to his destination and rushed in (he was allowed access to the Royal Library because of his contributions to Equastria) instantly looking through every book on every shelf till he came to the very back of the Library, still not finding any solid information Twisted threw a book in rage at a wall with such force it cracked it and when Twisted went to check on it he found a secret closed off section of the Library with one book in the center of a room on an alter simply with the words Dark Magic in red text written on it. He quickly grabbed the book and opened it reading page after page taking in as much information as possible, finishing the book in mere minutes a feat that would impress even Star Swirl with how big the book was, but he did it and he finally had the information he needed.
He fixed the wall with a simple time reversal spell and went on his way home to try the spell out. When he got outside the Library he was surprised it was still not passed 5:00 and the city was as busy as ever with ponies just getting home from work and such. He got home in little to no time and instantly started down to his lab and began to conjure up the spell and after the first try it worked, but he couldn't help that he felt strangely odd after casting the spell like some evil had entered his mind, however the excitement of the moment pushed that thought away and he soon found himself grabbing his Duster and rushing off to the Royal Castle to tell the Princesses of his achievement. He told the Castle Gate Guards of his intent and he was then led into the Throne Room where Princesses Celestia and Luna sat. A speaker announced his arrival and after he bowed before the Princesses began to tell them what he had done and when they asked him to demonstrate which he immediately agreed and began the spell, but as soon as Celestia saw the Darkness in the spell she ordered him to stop, however Twisted refused to stop saying they needed to see what the spell could do. Celestia asked again, but this time got no response, this angered her and soon the spell began to form a dark sphere which began to increase in size. Celestia would have no more of this and then cast a counter spell on Twisted's causing a large explosion.
After the blast Twisted got up after being knocked down and felt a large surge of pain and a burning feeling in his right eye to which he picked up a shard of glass to look at it he saw that the outer portion had glowing red blood vessels strained throughout it and that his pupil was know a pure black sphere with a red center point that made it look demonic . He quickly threw the shard away in horror at the sight of it and began looking around the room for any one else when he then saw Celestia standing a fair distance away from him with anger in her eyes, she then asked why he disobeyed her when she ordered him to stop, Twisted gave a look of sorrow and said he did not know why he didn't stop he just felt she needed to see what he had discovered. She then asked where he learned of Dark Magic and how to preform it. Twisted told her about the book he found it a closed off section in the Royal Library she then said that what he did was illegal and that for use of forbidden Dark Magic, breaking into a restricted area, and for disobeying a direct order from her he is to be banished to the outskirts of Equestria and never allowed to return. And to think it was such a Beautiful Day.
