A Siren and A Seamare

"Careful, Adagio. You can't get caught!" Aria warned that night.

"I know, Aria. Keep Sonata and yourself out of danger until I say it's safe," Adagio explained, cautiously.

Like on Que, Sonata wrapped her arms around Adagio and teared up. A leather bag hanging around her waist.  "Be careful, Adagio," Sonata said with a raspy voice. Though they could get on each others nerves, they truly loved and took care of one another. But that night, Adagio was leaving for Equestria and they were about to be separated for the first time.

"I wont let you down, I'll go to our old lake, and see if it's safe. I'll go all around Equestria if I need to, but I'll find us a new place for song," Adagio explained.

"I still don't understand, how are you supposed to find a place we can sing, if our gems are shattered?" Aria questioned.

"To be honest, I'm not too sure myself, but it feels right!" Adagio explained.

Sonata, who was still hugging Adagio, said, "I trust you, but I can't help to think how dangerous this might get."

Adagio made Sonata let go of her, and she smiled right in Sonata's eyes. It was a warm smile. One a mother would give to a child. "I know what I'm doing, Sonata, sure it might get dangerous, but it doesn't matter to me. We need the power," Adagio explained. She turned to Aria and held out her orange arm, beckoning her sister to come close. Aria embraced Adagio as Sonata stood silently smiling at the two. Aria started to cry then, and Sonata noticed so she walked over to Aria and placed a hand gently on her shoulder. It was strange to see either of her sisters cry, but Sonata knew that this is the exception to everything.

"I love you, girls. Keep each other safe until I say you can come home," Adagio said sadly. It was true she didn't want to leave her sisters, but she had to in order for them to survive, and the human world wasn't where they were going to stay to do that. Aria let go of Adagio and Sonata gave her the brown leather bag she was holding. Adagio smiled as she took it from her sister. It had a draw string around it the color of gold to keep its contents safe inside. On the very bottom of the bag, very crudely stitched, is written with gold colored thread, 'Siren Sisters'.

Adagio started to walk slowly, gradually getting faster as she looked at her sisters: Aria was whipping her tears away, as Sonata had her arms wrapped around herself, they both had very feeble smiles showing. When Adagio waved to them, they waved back. Adagio smiled and ran towards Canterlot High School. She knew that the portal was located there, and she new that a day there was one and a half days here, so she had to move quickly to find somewhere she could go that would be safe. It was dark in the city compared to the apartment building the sisters were living in.  But she had to go through with her plan. Even though, admittedly, she was afraid of night.

Luckily it was only five minutes to the diner, and then only ten minutes to the high school. She kept running through the city. Hearing a stray cat here, a stray dog there, she kept her goal in mind. But what would she when she got through the portal? Find a place to sing, sure, but how? Equestria isn't very vast, and news travels quickly. If that Twilight would find out Adagio was back, what would happen? Adagio stopped, and leaned up against the dinner window. What would happen? Would she be forced back here, or banished in some other way? Adagio really didn't know, but she had to try.

She opened the bag and looked inside while catching her breath and figuring out her thoughts. Inside laid the remains of her gem from the battle with Twilight and her friends. along with the band that held it. She knew that her sisters' were in the same condition, if they didn't find negative energy soon, they might not make it for very much longer. Adagio continued to run to Canterlot High, with a new source of determination. "Ten minutes away," Adagio repeated to herself. "Only seven minutes away," She thought. She was running out of time though. The sun was slowly rising and people would be waking up soon. If someone saw her entering the portal, her mission would be jeopardized. She ran faster, losing energy quick but she was almost there. "Five minutes away," she thought. Soon enough, she could see the high school. "Three minutes away," She thought. She leaped through the portal. Spinning faster and faster, she felt her bones change.

Where was she? In a palace? She was in the air also. It was easy to fly for her, even if she didn't have wings. It was weird to see herself with hooves and a tail again, but she didn't have time to revel because she could hear voices. She quickly went through the closest window and got out of there. The moon was rising as she flew through the sky, so the town that she was in looked deserted. She relaxed as she glided through the sky. She was in Equestria. She was home. Not entirely though, she still needed to find the lake her and her sisters were raised in all those centuries ago.

As she flew across the town, she watched the moon rise. Just as she was escaping the dark, she flew right back into it. She tried to block out the idea of spiders and Night Crawlers out of her head as she tried to find water. The lake she was raised in was the largest and deepest lake in Equestria. It was easy to find victims on the shores and in the towns surrounding it. Adagio almost liked her lips at the prospect of absorbing all the negative energy again. First;however, she had to figure out how to fix her gem. The leather bag was tied loosely around her neck as she flew. Without her gem, she wouldn't survive. Luckily there was enough energy in them to last them over three months, but after, they'd not make it.

As the night continued, so did Adagio's search. She felt she was close though, and soon she would be in the water again. Oh how she longed to swim again. "Under the sea, wish I could be, part of that world!" She thought to herself. Her purple eyes nearly started to cry when she saw the lake. The dark water that sparkled under the moon and stars. She dived into the water. It was the first time in over four thousand years since she had been in this lake, and she didn't want anything to ruin that moment. If she could have sung, she would have. Adagio could almost not believe that she was actually here! Why is Aria and Sonata were here with her, they would have- well they weren't with her and that ruined her mood quicker than she wanted.

She swam deeper in the lake, and found an abandoned pile of kelp, so she curled up on it and fell asleep. She was alone in the lake in Equestria and Adagio missed her sisters.
