Flying Shadows

"Stupid Wonderbolts, stupid Spitfire, stupid Rainbow Dash!" Lightning Dust growled under her breath leaving the Wonderbolt Academy. She had worked so hard to get in and now what? A puff of black smoke appeared before her and transfigured into a living pony.

"Awww, the Wonderscrews kicked you out?" the shadowy figure said. Another shadow appeared.

"This seems familiar," the other shadow states smiling devilishly at Lighting Dust. The first shadow flew up to Lightning's side.

"Do you want to join the REAL fastest flight team in Equestria?" the first shadow asks. Lightning Dust confusingly steps back from the talking shadows.

"Who are you?"

"I'm Nightshade and he's Shadow Star. We have way more ponies on our team though. We got Wind Whistler, Moonshade, Midnight Blaze..." Nightshade had started to blab on and on and on until Lightning Dust stopped her.

"I get I mean your group. What's your group called?"

"Oh, we're the Shadowbolts, the fastest flight team in Equestria! We're WAY faster than those stupid Wonderscrews. So want to join?" A paper and a quill appear right before Lightning Dust.

"Uh, do I get smoke powers like you guys?"

"Yep!"

"Am I going to be served breakfast, lunch, and dinner?"

"With desert!"

"Is there a pool at your hideout?"

"The second biggest pool in all Equestria, Celestia has the first,"

"And finally, Will I be able to get my revenge on Rainbow Dash and the Wonderbolts?"

"Your my type of pony, uh.."

"Lightning Dust, my name's Lightning Dust!"

"Well Dust, you past our test. Your in!" The shadows cave in on Lightning Dust clothing her in the Shadowbolt garb. "Alright, let's go back to headquarters. I bet Shadow Zap is starting to eat all the cheese balls!" Nightshade proclaims.

"Wait! I need to get my stuff!" Lightning Dust shouts. On her way to get her stuff from her Canterlot room, Lightning ran into Wind Rider who had been kicked off the Wonderbolts as well. "Wind Rider, as in THE Wind Rider?! ohmygoshohmygoshohmygoshohmygosh-" Wind Rider uses his hoof to keep Lightning Dust from making any sound.

"Let me guess, are you another young pegasus that's fast enough to beat my record?" he growls.

"No,"

"Good, I don't need another Rainbow Crash in my life right now."

"You hate Rainbow Dash too?"

"You said her name wrong kid, it's Rainbow CRASH!" Lightning Dust giggle. She liked Rider he was cute, funny, and best of all he hated Rainbow Dash and the Wonderbolts.

"Hey Rider, wanna join this other flying group called the Shadowbolts?" she asks.

"That depends, am I goin' to get kicked out for playin' dirty?"

"Oh please, you'll be promoted!"

"Heh, I'll check out these Shadowbolts. I'll see if they're worth my time."

"Oh, I assure you Mr. Rider they will be!" Lightning Dust and Wind Rider flew down from Canterlot and were greeted by the Shadowbolts.

"So, you're Wind Rider the famous Wonderbolt?" Nightshade asks.

"Heh, famous Shadowbolt now. I mean, only if your worth my time" he remarks. The Shadowbolts smile to each other.

"We'll make your stay with us worth your while! We'll even get you a new scarf!" Shadow Star offers. Wind Rider smiles. The Shadowbolts start to crowd around Wind Rider garbing him in the Shadowbolt uniform (with a scarf).

"Little filly I think you just gave me my new job," Rider thanks Lightning. The Shadowbolts led the two new recruits to their hideout. It looked like the Wonderbolt Academy but dark and wicked. "Wow, you guys are real original," Wind Rider teases.

"Hey we're cheaters and copiers!" Shadow Star hisses back playfully. "You guys better go to your bedrooms, we're going to be training tomorrow,"

"Training what?" Lightning Dust asks.

"Wind Whistler!" Nightshade shouts. A young stallion zips right by crashing into a target with Spitfire's face on it. "Target practice!" she cheers. Both Rider and Dust chuckle  and trot to their bedrooms.

                           Wonderbolts, here we come!
