Twilight Sparkle was cleaning her library by sorting through letters as she was going through some old ones and some new ones that she replied to and throwing them out. She also needed to sort her books later and clean up. So after the letters she scanned her surroundings, she saw that she had to sort out her books so she started doing that. She sighed as she realized all the work that she had to do. It looked like a dumpster with all of the paper and old books. She tossed the old books into a container which she would bring to bookstores that sell old books. Soon she finished sorting and as she went to sit down to relax an object caught her eye in the floor so she went over to it.
"That's funny I don't remember that being there." She said as she remembered all the times she asked Spike to clean that spot and never once did she think to look at it which is strange since its been there the whole time. She tried to pick it up and when she did it came open. She looked inside It was dark so she looked turned on a flashlight. Then she walked downwards into the cellar confused still trying to figure out what would be down there. As she got down there she saw hundreds of books and scrolls that she had no knowledge of.
"I don't remember putting books down here." She said looking around the huge piles. "It would take me forever to sort through these" She exclaimed. She walked slowly examining them. They looked like ordinary books so nothing was out of the ordinary. She picked up one. It was covered in dust.
She wondered how long this place was down here without her knowledge. She blew the dust off of it and checked through it. It was a song book. Right by it was another book she picked that one up and blew the dust off of it. She read the cover.
"The Tanakh" She read. She opened it up and read it. It explained about how the world was made and that God created humans.
"It has a lot of commands in it. It must be an instructional guide or a book of wisdom and poetry." Twilight said thinking to herself. She read all of these lines and new it would take weeks to find out about this whole thing. She also read threw scrolls and the more and more she read she began to want to follow these beliefs.
"Sin?" She said. She had no idea what territory she was entering but she got a bad feeling about it. Whatever was put down here she didn't know about it.
Twilight just stood there and left wondering what just happened. The next day after what happened Twilight was sitting in her room looking through the hidden scrolls that were under her house. She wondered what this all meant. And who was this God person? Those questions ran through her mind as she thought on what they all meant. . She was on her own. She went down to her basement and went through the the scrolls. She looked at all of them. They seem to have something to do with supernatural belief in this being called God. It was way to confusing for her and the written style was so wierd. There also was this other language she didn't quite know."
She thought about it. She never knew about the room which is strange and she never knew that there were other species out there. She didn't dare ask Celestia know what could happen. She could either be banished or sworn to secrecy about something. There probably were other civilizations out there but they were probably to far away to see them plus they would need away to check out the other world. She was tired from the whole ordeal so she went to bed. That night she kept thinking about all those books. Was there really a God who did all that for a certain group of people? She pondered this question as she twisted and turned in her bed. She couldent stop thinking about it. Did she really want to find out more of this stuff or leave it alone. She was so unsure.
She also thought that she could start getting into the religion. She could conver to it and learn about it. She didn't have to tell nopony. She was so afraid though. What if she went out and her friends found these books. She pondered on this as well. She wondered what would happen. Slowly she closed her eyes and fought to get to sleep soon her fears temporarily were pushed back in her mind as she could focus on it more tomarrow right now was bedtime.
The next morning She got up rubbing her eyes from the sleepiness. She still wanted to find out what was with the books and the scrolls but she thought about what would happened if she asked so she didn't ask. If Celestia had any prior knowledge that she kept secret of the library Twilight lived in then she knew that something was not right so kept it hidden from her. That still didn't explain why all that stuff was down there. Did something else live there before her or no. She never had knowledge of a basement and all those books that were down there. Someone else either put them there with ought her knowledge or something else. And who were these beings it spoke of that was the question she wanted the most but she burned all the scrolls so she couldent find out now.
She shrugged and went about her day. A few hours later Celestia came back and told her to not dive into something like that again but Twilight didn't listen she read the books and studied them without Celestia's knowledge. It would be her little secret.
A few days after finding out about Tanakhs and the Jewish religion and hid her Tanakh from Celestia she was looking at the Tanakh and geneology scrolls she saw that other people were Jewish. The most funny thing was is that it was connected to her geneology. Twilight looked this over a few times and saw that this person had the same last name as her and some how was so small on her geneology that nopony never noticed. Realization hit her. Her eyes widened. She wrote a letter talking about it to Celestia and waited. Celestia wrote one back and revealed that Twilight was Jewish but she kept it a secret from her. Twilight flipped her table in frustration. She ran out to Celestias castle and barged in.
"Celestia!! You never told me about this?! You knew all along!" Twilight screamed. Celestia gave her a sad frown.
"I'm sorry Twilight I was just trying to protect you by hiding the truth. They're are lots of people who wouldent understand." Celestia sadly said. Twilight scowled.
"So my whole life has been an entire lie?!" Twilight screamed. Celestia winced. Celestia sighed and breathed out and looked at Twilight.
"I'm sorry Twilight now that the truth is free you can go follow your true self." Celestia tried to apologize.
"Sorry won't cut it, I will follow my true self!" Twilight yelled. Celestia sadly nodded.
"I'm sorry Twilight please forgive me." Celestia said tearing up and her voice breaking. Twilight turned and ran out crying running away from Canterlot. When she got home she sobbed as she thought about her fake life and prepared how she wanted to live. She couldent believe that Celestia hid that Twilight was Jewish from her.
Twilight screamed into her pillow. The next day she told her friends all about it trying to explain it to them they of coarse didn't understand but after a few minutes got the idea of what was going on. They comforted Twilight and told her that everything would be okay. They hugged her and calmed her down. Twilight smiled as she relaxed glad that everything would turn out fine in the end.
After a few days Celestia wrote an apology to Twilight explaining everything. Explaining how she had kept Twilight's secret heritage from her and how Twilight was Jewish. Through the next few days Twilight studied the religion and practiced following it
Twilight did find out that their were people that were similar to humans so she read all day about them researching and studying as she looked through her library and other libraries involving books about the subject. Her and Celestia also investigated how the book got into Twilights library in the first place. They never figured out anything. That was the one thing that baffled Twilight. She was living in a library all her life and she never once discovered this book. The book must have been there for years until Twilight fell upon it. Celestia had a librarian scan it but no records of the book existed. It looked worn and old so Twilight had it renewed.
After it was renewed she took it home and Twilight figured out how to break this to Spike so she put it in simple terms for him and he seemed to accept her answer for himself. Twilight sat down and sighed as she picked up a book and read it trying to break from all this running around about this book and this religion she just found out about.
Twilight rubbed her forhead over the loss of sleep but tried to take breaks. Her friends made sure she slept and she did since they knew she was having a hard time researching all of this and got tired more quickly so they made sure she rested and did notes and researched for her so that she didn't fall behind of progress.
Soon she confronted her parents and they had a long talk about Celestia hiding it from her. They hugged and Celestia and Twilights parents met. Twilight studied everything she could about this whole situation. They soon settled that Twilight could rediscover herself and could start following Judaism. There was nothing wrong with it.
Twilight now knew that their was more to her life. Her friends made sure that they didn't think anything different about her and that she was still the same person they knew and they hugged over it. Twilight reclined in her bedroom recovering from the shock over all of this. Twilight sighed as she now knew all about her new life. She wondered on where she would go from here as she fell into a relaxing sleep as she had a lot of work tomorrow.
The next day she woke up and told the truth to the entire kingdom of what was hidden from them some where angry at Celestia but they worked it out with her. Over the next week Twilight cleaned out the secret compartment that held all these books and displayed them in her library on her shelves and advertised them to other citizens so that they all knew what was hidden under Twilights place.
Celestia met Twilight and person and tried to apologize again and promised to never hide anything from Twilight again. She also told Twilight she can practice Judaism. Twilight accepted her apology.
It baffled Twilight how all these books where under her place and she never noticed it one bit. She was flabbergasted by the whole thing. It stunned her. Now that she knew all about herself she studied about secret civilialtions that followed different cultures and read about a place called Israel which is where the book mentions it several times as it is a country far away. She studied all about it.
Over time she continued studying this subject and kept all her documents and books on it so that other citizens would know about it to. She continued to follow Judaism for the rest of her life

This was not meant to poke fun at religion. I just thought it was a cool idea of her finding something that Celestia doesn't want any of her subjects to find out about. :)
