Boulder is adjusting to life in Ponyville, but just as tragedy brought him to the open hooves of his only friend Fluttershy, deception is pushing him away. He goes on a new geologic expedition to the Gem Mines beneath Canterlot, but his obsession with reflections gets to the best of him. Fluttershy must save Boulder before he descends into madness, and Boulder must decide whether his new friendship is worth giving up for a new start on life.
