Sunset Shimmer has wonderful friends that are opening her heart once again. Everyday she feels and practices the magic of friendship.

Despite this, people and ponies still wonder what caused Sunset to only desire power for a number of years. Was it power for power's sake? Why would she willingly let a darkness overtake her.

Sunset remembered why she began on that path. She wanted to make sure that she was not powerless ever again. Not like that one night many years ago in Canterlot, where not her parents nor Celestia could protect her.
