Aphmau's Journey
New beginnings
Load Full StoryI slowly walked up a gravely path. The snow is like a blanket for the chilly ground. The wind howling loudly like wolves. My paws slipped over a piece of ice. Ouch! I muttered. I kept trotting up the path. I saw what used to be a buetiful meadow. I sighed as my stomach churned at having a peace treaty with Zane. Or was it because I'm starving? Who knows. Then I saw my friend. He had chestnut fur with a black patch on his flank. He greeted me a hello. I smiled at him but frowned after a few seconds. He nodded his head sadly. He looked up with his emerald green eyes. No luck he sighed. I frowned and kept on trotting. I was in search of my dear friend Katelyn. She had disappeared a few months ago. I saw the path to O Khasis. I sighed as I went through the territory line. I saw my dear friend Ash who was a reddish color. Of course his fur was matted. He looked at my frown
He shook his head sadly.
Sorry Aphmau but all the guards were out and still can't find Katelyn. I sighed as I went into a den as big as a lake filled with guards. I went on only looking for Zane. I did eventually find him. He had black fur with a white cross on his chest. He had light blue eyes like a lake. He started to pace around worried before I entered the room. His blue eyes lit up. Oh he chuckled you made it! Of course I did I sighed. He sat his hunch by a nearby log. He sat in front of him. He talked about the treaty. He held out a paper. I dipped my paw in ink. So did he. We shook paws in agreement. I went off back to the forest. Garroth peeked by in a nearby tree. He smiled as he greeted me. He had a frown when I asked if he found anything. He shook his head. Then I heard a loud SNAP! I was startled at the loud noise. Garroth leaped in front of me. He growled and bared his teeth. To my surprise it was Laurance. He sighed as he dropped a dead squirrel to the ground. Well this is awkward he growled. I asked me to come with him. He told me to wait by a near by tree. When he came back he had a red rose. He smiled as he gave the rose to me. I blushed a deep red. We walked home and talked about the treaty. He frowned. I can't believe Zane actually agreed to the treaty. I sighed and said well if you know him he's friendly. We both chuckled. I can't believe Zane did sign the treaty. We walked on knowing that there was no arguing. If there was I would have been irritated. I got back to my den. I set up my sleeping place. My two sons were romping around as usual. When I went over they both greeted me and told me about they're day. That Levin caught a squirrel and that Malachi caught a bird. Garroth walked in with worry. We just saw Matelli. It was overrun by a pack bigger than O Khasis. I frowned and told him to warn the rest of the pack. He quickly ran off. Levin and Malachi were frowning. They knew how bad this was. The next day the town had a meeting. Zoey stayed home to watch the kids. Garroth was furious who knows if we're next he yelled. Laurance tried to calm him down. Garroth maybe we might be last there attacking the bigger packs calm down. He sighed and thudded out the room. They kept on chattering on and on until someone left. I left to go check on the little ones. Of course fast asleep. Zoey was snoozing in the corner. Her light peach fur was matted and her flower band was crooked. I sighed. I trotted out to the forest to pick fresh berries. It was quiet and the air was damp. When I came out I was panting at the heat. I callapsed against the wall. I went to a nearby lake. I slurped the water and went. I saw my usual friends. I wondered about who my family might be. Then I heard a worried bark. Garroth was running. He panted and said there was a trespasser on territory lines. I ran to the edge of the territory. There I saw a reddish wolf. Ash!? He yelped and ran over to me. He said that they found Katelyn near a lake. He took us and there were claw marks going into the forest. I sniffed the air and bolted into the thick forest. I saw Katelyn passed out. There was a pure white wolf near her. When I blinked he was gone. An albino I pondered in aw. Then she woke up. She looked unsteady.
The next day everyone was rushing this and that way. I heard that O khasis was attacked. I went hunting to ease myself. Then I heard a twig crunch. Then I growled loud enough that they backed off. I sniffed the ground. It smelled familiar. Then a large white bird swooped on a nearby branch. He hooted and I ignored the owl. Then I saw the white wolf. It turned and I saw light blue eyes. The wolf came closer until we were only feet from each other. It spoke. Hello Aphmau it said with a voice like bells. It introduced itself as Luna. I stepped back. My tail swaying side to side slowly. H-How do you know my name. She smiled I've heard your friends say it. Then she was gone. In front of me I saw a weird item. A cats tooth.
