I slowly open my eyes and look at my alarm clock. Damn, I have another hour before I need to be at school. Might as well get up and start the day off early. I rub the sleep out of my eyes and get out of bed. Coming into contact with the cold, wood floor have me goosebumps. Why couldn't we just have carpet? I noticed the smell of burning meat and walked into the kitchen to find my sister cooking breakfast. "Why are you up so early Sarah?" I question.

She looks at me and smiles. "Couldn't sleep" She tiredly responds

"That sucks. What are you making?"

She yawns. "I'm making bacon. It should be ready in a few minutes"

"Awesome, thanks"

She smiles. "Don't mention it L"

I smile and go back to my room. I should probably take a shower, it'll wake me up more. I open my closet and take out a plain black shirt and a pair of baggy, black pants.
"Do you need the bathroom?" I call out to my sister.

"No thanks!" She replies.

I grab a towel and walk into my bathroom. I walk out soaking wet and feeling refreshed a couple minutes later. "Breakfast is ready!" My sister calls.

"Alright!"

I go over to the table and start eating. After I eat I walk over to the door and slip on my boots. "Have a good day at school" Sarah says.

"A good day at school? You're hilarious." I say.

"Yeah yeah, whatever. Get your ass to school." She smiles.

"Ugh, bye Sarah. I love you."

"Love you to Sis"

I walk out the door and light a cigarette. Fuck school, it's hell. I don't care what you say. I put my earphones in and play a Song. I slowly make my way towards the building, bobbing my head with the beat. I toss my cigarette but and walk into school. Let's see, I've got history then calculus, physical education, astronomy, lunch, and English. Yay me. I make my way over to history and sit down. This is going to be a long day.

Finally, lunch. I sit down at an empty table and put in my earphones. I close my eyes and start nodding my head with the beat. Shortly after I feel a tap on my shoulder and growl. I open my eyes and pull out an earphone. "What do you want" I snap.

"Oh um I'm sorry to disturb you but I was wondering if I can sit here." A high pitched feminine voice speaks.

I turn around to see who I'm dealing with and am greeted with an unfamiliar face. She has bright green eyes, black hair and looks a bit scared. Hmm. Kind of cute. "Yeah, go ahead. Sit wherever and sorry for the aggressive reaction. I just don't like people interrupting my music. Anyway, my name is Lirik. How's it going?"
"Pretty good. My name's Jade" Replies shyly.

I laugh. "Nice to meet you Jade"

"Um... If you don't mind me asking... Why the name Lirik? It sounds kind of... um... masculine."

"According to my sister the only thing that would make me stop crying as a child was music. Didn't mater what kind. I loved it all."

"Why 'according to my sister'?"

All of a sudden I got a huge feeling of depression. Enough to make my eyes water a little. "I don't want to talk about it" I said very quietly.

"Why not?" She innocently responded

I slammed my fist on the table and yelled " I don't want to talk about it!" I got up and ran to the bathroom. I got there and looked in the mirror. Tears were falling down my face. I collapsed and started sobbing like a fucking baby. I stayed there for a few minutes before getting up and looking in the mirror my dark blue eyes were puffy and there were still tears in them. I wipe them on the sleeve of my shirt and walk out of the bathroom. I start walking to English after I put my earphones in. I get there and sit down.

I walk out the school doors and light a cigarette. It's been a long day so far. I walk home and open the door. My sister sees my face apparently. "What's wrong?" She asks worriedly.I look at her for a second before sprinting over to her and hugging her. I started crying again while she stood there and started rubbing the back of my head. I ended up falling asleep shortly after that. At least tomorrow is Saturday.

Author's Note

Chapter 1 complete. Yay ^_^ this isn't exactly my first story but it's the only one currently published. The other ones were too... Meh, I guess. They didn't really seem satisfactory. Besides, they were in second person. Bleh. It seems WAY too repetitive adding all of those "You"'s. I don't plan on taking this story down and it will be updated weekly. Maybe some chapters thrown in here and there throughout the week. I don't really know. I have some plans for this story and definitely plan on making a sequel after its done. Add in more crazy shit an all that. The first few chapters are going to be set in earth though. So be warned. Feedback would be great. I'd like to know your opinion about it and your criticism.
