In her office Sunset is busy balancing the books of the finance of Ponyvile. Her idea for harvesting the zap apples, has netted a large payday for her. The pre-orders have all been filled, and there are enough leftover to sell to others in limited numbers. Which Sunset explained to the Apples who are set in their very inefficient ways, creating an artificial shortage of a product. Where if they would just have the cows help with the harvest or hire help there would be a whole lot more zap apples for the market. Instead of the limited number that cost an arm and a leg. Like how diamonds are expensive due to the fact there’s one company that hordes them and only release them in small amounts. (1)

Sunset pointed out that besides growing apples and taking care of them. Everything else the Apples do isn’t only something that they can do, and no one else. You don’t need a spiecal talent or spiecal skill when it’s just something simple where it’s picking an apple from a tree. Which there are only 4 Apples who do the picking resulting in a limited number of zap apples that can only be picked once a harvest. Which the idea of them having the cows helping or others to harvest said rare apples is simply beyond them.

Which she proved them wrong and while they only were able to pick 38 barrels of zap apples, the workforce Sunset hired had picked all the zap apple trees bare. Having the workers she hired work in shifts, where there were still zap apple trees ready to be picked but because there were only 4 ponies doing the picking, the apples just proof away. Instead the trees are all picked clean and hundreds of barrels of zap apples were ready to be shipped off to the market, whiic numbered 473 in all. Seeing how Granny Smith while planted hundreds of zap apple trees over the years, had actually cherry picked the ones she sees as good, and left the rest to proof away. (2)

Sunset has already had the zap apples that weren’t sold made into jam and cider. Which in a blind taste test, most ponies couldn’t tell the difference between the ones made by the Apples and what was made by others. Which completely shattered Granny’s mind when some ponies who she knows like the ones made not how she makes them and most when told didn’t care, as most could never get a jar of zap apples and never got to taste it in the first place.

Sunset pointed out why would they care about how it’s made, when they never had it before, because of the limited number her family have always made. Which is why she’s having zap apples be planted in a new orchard which would only grow zap apple trees. So that they be able to harvest more zap apples for more exports, as fruits and vegetables are the main exports of Equestria and she’s not about to let a pig headed old pony whose stuck in her ways, cause trade problems with other countries just because she doesn’t like how it’s done. And with the debt that the Apples owe, they have to make profits to pay it off, or the lose the farm. The new zap apple orchard will take time to grow so they will still be supplying zap apples for awhile. But next harvest, she expects them to be having the cows help them harvest, as it’s just dumb how they have a workforce on the farm and yet only them 4 do the work.

Feeling hungry Sunset stop her work and headed for the kitchen. In the kitchen she finds Spike cooking, he’s cooking scramble eggs and onions. He also bake a leg of ham for himself, which is on the table. Since Sunset taught him how to cook the meat she keeps for herself and him, Spike has been eating lots of meat which has caused him to start growing. For years he’s just been eating like a pony and gemstones, which doesn’t have the nutrients his dragon body needs. (3)

“Hi Sunset,” Spike said.

“Are the others still at the hospital?” Sunset ask.

“Yeah they are,” Spike said.

The reason why Twilight wasn’t helping with the paperwork, is that she’s at the Ponyville hospital, she and her friends have gathered to view the newborn foals born to the Cup Cake. Carrot Cake introduces her daughter Pound Cake. Then she introduces her other daughter, Pumpkin Cake. Even with it clear that neither one of the daughters is Carrot Cake’s thanks to the fact that Pound Cake is a Pegasus and Pumpkin Cake is a Unicorn. Because they’re married, Carrot Cake is the parent to the two daughters, seeing how with the orgies they have been in, it’s impossible to tell who impregnated Cup Cake.

“I wonder who are the ones who impregnated Cup Cake,” Spike said.

“Well till Twilight or someone else figures out how to create a DNA match spell that be impossible. She has lots of sex with other ponies and it really doesn’t matter to them anyways if they are the children of both parents. Children are just too rare for that to matter,” Sunset said. (4)

1 - When the De Beers Mining Company discovered a treasure trove of diamonds in the city of Kimberley, they identified that this large supply would affect and decrease the value of diamonds. As a measure to prevent the same, they marketed their products as rare and decided to only release diamonds in smaller batches. Setting the standards of diamonds to be the best gift and a true gift of love, De Beers increased the market value of diamonds and competition. De Beers, still owns the credits for running the most successful campaign in the world with their taglines and philosophy used and effective even today, making diamonds a valuable investment and a precious rare stone.

2 - With Granny Smith being set in her ways, of course she would cherry pick the zap apples. Which results in a slower harvesting time. Which seeing how the apples are made into jam and other things, really isn’t needed.

3 - Spike might be a baby but seeing how he doesn’t eat meat in the show, would result in him being that small.

4 - Carrot Cake having a great grandfather being a unicorn can explain why there’s a unicorn. But a great aunt who is a second cousin twice removed doesn’t explain the Pegasus.
