The Beast, The Unicorn, and The Human

2 DAYS AGO

Twilight is in her library rereading the book “Unusual Magic” when outside she sees a gargantuan blinding light, in the shape of a cylinder, coming from the Everfree forest. She immediately stands up and all fours heroically and calls her trusty assistant over.

“Spppiiiiikkkkeee!” She hollers, looking around for him. He comes downstairs 3 minutes later with bags under his eyes.

“Yes Twilight? I was taking a nap,I didn’t get any sleep last night because you told me to rearrange the whole library… Again.” The purple and green baby dragon groans out, rubbing his eyes.

“I need you to send a letter to Princess Celestia,” Spike grabs a blank scroll and a quill, ready to start writing.

Dear Princess Celestia,

I have seen some sort of beam of light coming from the Everfree forest, I am wondering if you had something to do with it? If not I am getting your advice whether I should go investigate it or not.

PRESENT TIME

After reminiscing about your family that was taken away from you suddenly when you got beamed into this world, you stand up and take one last gander at the pond you sat by, capturing in your memory; when ever you needed to think you’d go back here. You think about going over to that village and confronting these ponies but dissection comes up in your head again and you shiver. Instead you go over onto the hill behind a bush and front the little village of equines. Seeing them go over daily business just like humans back in your world. You are still pretty freaked out about talking ponies but you’ll get over it.

Eventually.

As you’re taking a gander you look closer and notice something you didn’t see before, some had wings, other's horns, and most of them none of the sort. Well you’re looking at that you see a purple unicorn walking towards the forest, not far from where your campsite is by the little pond and where you teleported in.

ONE HOUR AGO

Twilight is just finished reading her book “Unusual Magic” when she hears a burp.

“Twilight! The letter you’ve been waiting for from Princess Celestia is here!” Spike runs down from upstairs and gives it to Twilight, she unravels it and reads well he goes and does something else.

Dear Twilight,

I’ve seen this “beam” of light and no, I did not create it. I would recommend that you investigate it, but be on your guard, it could've been something dangerous.

Twilight sets the scroll down and rushes up to her room, returning with a saddle pack.

“Spike, i’m going to be gone for awhile, tend to the library while i'm gone!” She quickly packs the saddle pack and leaves.

The unicorn is probably inspecting where I teleported, time traveled, or beamed in.. I’ll go with beamed.  You get out of the bush and start to follow the unicorn from the sidelines, hiding behind bushes and trees to stay hidden. The unicorn gets to the cave where you first got beamed in, starting to take notes down in a language you’re not familiar with. The purple equine starts heading down into the cave, her horn glowing with some type of magic, lighting the surrounding rocky walls of the damp cave.. You’re not surprised, magic in a world with talking horses seems to make sense. You follow the unicorn down, sneaking into little crevices in the walls of the cave whenever the unicorn looks behind itself.

The unicorn stops when it spots a scorch mark on the floor of the cave, it looks like it’s in the form of your shape. When the equine sees it, it starts drawing a crude picture of the shape. I should probably just come out and reveal myself.. Nah.. The equine starts making comments to herself out loud. “Hmm.. Nothing I've ever seen before.. It looks like some sort of creature..” She (You think it’s a she because of her voice.) continues to murmur to herself as she writes furiously into her notebook. She stops abruptly and turns around heading back out of the cave, good thing you were hiding in the crevice or she would’ve saw you. Once out of the cave she starts to head off and you sigh in relief. Until you hear a scream then a roar.

Looks like the beast is back. Great.

You run towards the scream ripping a nice big branch off a tree as you go. You burst through some bushes into an opening and see the beast approaching the purple mare. She immediately spots you, her mouth dropping as low as the floor, the beast stalks towards her not knowing your right behind it with a spiked branch.

“Hey fucker!” You scream out, regretting it in an instant as its beady eyes narrow on you and growls loudly. “Shit, why am I doing this?!” You rush towards it yelling some sort of battle cry and trying to hit it with the branch. You didn’t even get one hit on it before you get hit with a giant paw, the force throwing you into a tree and almost knocking you out on impact. Gah… Everything hurts… The beast stalks towards you about to have its meal, you close your eyes and wait for your death.

Why am I not dead yet?

“You can open your eyes… thing.” A feminine voice tells you and you open one eye and the purple equine is right in front of you.

You stare at her for a while, thinking of what to say. You look over to your right and see the creature that was about to eat you sleeping, snoring gracefully.

“Uhm… T-Thank you..?” You said well in pain.

“Twilight. Twilight Sparkle,” She notices your in pain and gasps “I got to get you to the hospital!”

“N-No. I’m f-fine..” Your vision starts to dark around the edges, you feel like you’ve gotten lifted up by something and you finally slip unconscious.
