"Hurry up Scootaloo!" Applebloom shouted, "We're goin' to be late for the surprise speaker!"
"I'm trying!" Scootaloo yelled over her shoulder.
She set her face back in front of her as she strained to pull the wagon.
Ugh, can't they get any heavier? She grumbled inwardly.
Sweetie Belle hummed a song, curls flying back in the wind. She was the only one who was thankful for the cool breeze. It was a hot summer morning after all.
"Alright we're here!" Scootaloo said.
The other Crusaders hopped out of the cart, following her into the schoolhouse.
They pushed open the door and snuck into their seats.
Miss Cheerilee saw them, and motioned them to sit down. They obeyed quietly, while wondering where the speaker was. There wasn't anypony up in the front after all. Where had he gone?
All of a sudden, the door slammed open.
"Sorry I'm late!" A stallion exclaimed.
His brown mane was windswept, and his tan coat was ruffled. He turned around with a smile.
"Hello everypony!" He grinned.
"Hello Mr. Gamesmash," the bored foals chorused back.
"I'm so honored to speak for you today! In fact, I'm so excited, that I brought my newest product to show you all!" He lit up his horn and drew a camera out from his saddlebags.
The few foals who had been leaning forward with excitement, slumped back into the seats with audible thunks.
"Now, this may seem like an ordinary camera, but, as the saying goes, 'Don't judge a camera by it's lens!' Or something like that?" He paused, scratching his chin. All of a sudden, his coat started peeling off. Or so it seemed.
The tan fur slipped away, revealing perfectly groomed grey fur. The mane turned into a warm russet brown.
All the foals' jaws dropped, a particular brown one's sweeping the floor. "NOTCH?!" They all shrieked in one voice.
"That's right!" He replied, Ponish accent strong.
"Alright! Please settle down!" Cheerilee said, immediately calming the chattering foals. Once they had calmed down, she smiled at him.
"So, this camera actually is a portal to another world. Don't worry, it's completely safe, I had some adults test it at the Pojang Headquarters. Now, can anypony guess what world it is?"
Silence reigned in the room, until a flurry of colored hooves shot into the air.
Notch chuckled, and pointed to Shady Daze. Awed, the foal answered, "The world that Princess Twilight went to?"
"No," he replied, "but good guess!"
He pointed to Rumble. "A medieval world?"
"No," he answered," but, it would be an interesting idea."
Finally, after many numerous guesses involving bananas, horns, and frosting, Notch picked Button Mash.
Instead of answering, he asked a question.
"Is it a game world? Like, Minecraft?" he asked timidly, beanie propeller whirling around.
"Right on the mark young colt!" Notch replied enthusiastically. "Are there any volunteers?"
Miss Cheerilee cut in.
"I'm very sorry my little foals, but Mr. Notch has business to do! Tomorrow, the camera will be left here for those who want to experiment. Say thank you to Notch!"
"Thank you!" All the little ponies shouted.
At recess time, the fillies and colts flooded outside and immediately coalesced into their respective groups.
