Vinyl watched as the bus for Crystal Prep drove off into the city. She sighed in sadness knowing that the love of her life won't be coming back for a long time. While the new Twilight had stayed Lemon Zest, however, did not. The schools didn't hate each other anymore but, Vinyl still couldn't help but, feeling a little guilty for liking a rival student. How could this have happened? It Puzzled Vinyl that she could fall in love in such a short time. Maybe it was when she saw them come off the bus, or when she watched her in the games, or maybe it was when she saw her getting a soda from the vending machine, or when she was screaming in terror during the evil Twilight fiasco! Vinyl thought about it for a moment. Yup, it was defiantly at the vending machine. The way she put her money into the slot. How she carefully bent down to grab her soda. How her hair swayed while she danced to her music. Not to mention that she bought Grape Fizz, Vinyls favorite soda! It was love at first sight or rather third sight. Multi-colored hair, music lover, Grape Fizz drinker, she was perfect. The only thing standing in her way was, the student body. There was no way her friends would approve of this. Lyra would cry, Bon Bon would faint, and Octavia would have a fit! Vinyl walked to her locker thinking hard on the subject when she realized, What if Lemon Zest doesn't even like me! She banged her head on a locker loudly. Some started to stare at her including her three friends. She looked up and they immediately noticed the bruise on her head. Octavia told Lyra and Bon Bon not to worry about it and go on without them. Lyra gave her a romantic look while Bon Bon made kiss faces at them. Vinyl was confused but brushed it off, her head hurt to much to think. A kid who was standing off the the side said "That was my locker." Octavia took Vinyl to the nurse where she held an ice pack on her head. "Are you okay Vinyl you where acting a little crazy back there?" Vinyl didn't respond. "You've been strange since the games." Still no response. "Did new Twilight freak you out?" Silence. "I know it scared me a little." Finally Vinyl took out her phone and started texting. Octavia got a message a few moments later. Vinly *3*: I've just been overthinking. Tavi: Really what about? Vinyl *3*: Girls. I just can't get this one person out of my head. Octavia's face turned crimson and she tried not to smile to much while trying to keep her cool. Tavi: So who's the lucky girl? Vinyl *3*: Can't say I'm afraid you guys won't like me anymore. Tavi: Nonsense I'll always like you and I'm sure the other guys won't mind. Vinyl *3*: Really you'd approve of this? Tavi: Of course and I think we all might have a pretty good idea on who it is Vinly *3*: Really you do?! Tavi: Yup, so the best thing to do is ask her out directly and tell everyone about it. Don't care what others might think. Vinyl *3*: what if she doesn't like me? Tavi: Trust me she likes you. Who wouldn't? Vinyl smiled up at her friend and hugged her. Then she went running out the door. Octavia was confused and didn't think this was how Vinyl would confess her love to her. Tavi: where are you going?! Vinyl *3*: To buy flowers and then to the bus stop and then to Crystal Prep to confess my love for Lemon Zest!!! "Lemon Zest!" Octavia shouted in outrage. She couldn't believe that Vinyl was in love with that girl from Crystal Prep Academy. She was heart broken and furious at the same time. A short while later she arrived at Crystal Prep with flowers and card in hand. She swallowed a huge lump in her throat and slowly walked up the stairs. She got looks from some people in the halls and even some followers. They wanted to see what she was up to and who she was looking for. That's when she finally saw her, Lemon Zap, dancing in the middle of the hallway, jamming to her tunes. So graceful. Vinyl snapped out of her trance long enough to gain confidence. She walked up to Lemon Zap, tapped her shoulder and got down on one knee presenting her flowers and a card that read: Will you go out with me. People gasped and stared waiting for Lemons answer. She looked at Vinyl for a second become shouting, "Sure dude!" She stared at Vinyl before saying, "Cool bruise!" Then she grabbed Vinyl and took off her head phones. "Listen to this!" She put her own head phones onto Vinyls ears and changed the song to Love at First Sight by The Ponytones. Lemon gave Vinyl a kiss on the cheek turning her face bright red. The crowed went awe and that was it. There was nothing left to say. Back at Cantorlot High Octavia was in tears. She hid in the janitor closet with Lyra and Bon Bon. "It's okay Octavia there are plenty of girls in the sea." Bon Bon stated. "Yeah it's not like you can compete with a music loving, Fizz drinking headphone girl anyway." Bon Bon slapped Lyra up the head. "Lyra!" "What?! I'm just stating facts." "No, there is something I can do." Octavia whipped away her tears as she sat up. She peaked her head out of the closet letting a little light shine on her face. "If Vinyl won't love me I'll just have to make her." She squinted her eyes. "Even if that means eliminating the completion, for GOOD!"
