My Little Pony: The Crowl Chronicles
Book One: Owls Awakening: prologue
It was mid afternoon in the radiant kingdom that was Equestria. Almost everything was calm; every unicorn, pegasus, and earth pony at peace and even the normally deadly Everfree Forest was quiet. But there would always be an exception and in this case, it came in the form of two alicorn sisters.
The oldest sister a tall white mare sporting her prismatic ethereal main and tail. Sat outside the blue granite castle of the two sisters. The sun shone bright on the cool grass, she sat under her parasol the mare held a fork in her telekinetic grasp with a whole slice of triple layer chocolate cake stuck on it, began easing it closer to her mouth closer, closer awaiting the sweet satisfaction... BOOM!
She now lay on her back, wings frozen outstretched cake coating her from head to hooves. Celestia princess of the sun had once again been pranked by her younger sister Luna princess of the moon. Celestia absolutely flabbergasted by her cake exploding into a million frosting covered bits right on her face, finally let out a yell that all in or around the castle of the two sisters could more than easily hear even yakyakistan could have heard her
“LUNA! I thought we agreed to leave the cake out of it!”
Celestia stood up revealing her flank to be the only non-cake covered spot on her. Adorning it was a cutie mark resembling the very sun shining in the sky. Celestia began to whimper at the sight of her innocent triple layer chocolate cake that now laid in a gooey chocolaty mush in front of her. Her eyes welled up with tears as she softly spoke.
“I will avenge you my sweet.”
Not being able to hold back any longer Luna let out a bellowing laugh that echoed with a boom. Celestia glared instantly in the direction of her sister's laughter emanating from somewhere by the massive oak doors adorning the front of the castle. All of the sudden a blackish blue streak zoomed out of the bush just to the right of the doors going for the crevasse in front of the castle.
Celestia sprung into action without pause. Withing just a few seconds she closed the ever-growing distance by half with very little effort thanks in part to the fury of her innocent cake caught in the crossfire of the prank war. That fury gave her incredible speed so much that when she leapt into action all the cake that was covering her just seemed to stay put.
Tailing Luna Celestia realized her sister was heading to the tree of harmony which they agreed upon was a safe zone. They didn't want to risk getting to rough around the tree they tended to get a bit rowdy in their pranks. Luna had crossed the line this time by turning her cake into a martyr. Now entering the cave where the tree of harmony resided Celestia screeched to a halt with all four hooves firmly planted into the ground, she looked at her sister now relaxed from her abrupt stop, there stood her sister.
Princess Luna her sapphire blue mane flowing with the light breeze in the cave, the light of the tree of harmony illuminating her dark blue coat and revealing her crescent moon cutie mark which appropriately sat upon the splotch of dark purple that was her flanks. She remained still not even flinching with her older sisters hasty entrance. Luna was glaring at the tree with concern. Celestia still standing where she stopped noticed Luna's unusual stillness, deciding to investigate rather than confront her. She began slowly walking towards her sister, with each step Luna's cyan eyes were revealed, her eyes were transfixed on the tree with uneasy concern. Luna's eyes made Celestia's heart sink, she began to quicken her pace now sensing that her sister's concern was growing. Before Celestia could voice her query of her sisters growing fear Luna spoke.
“Dear sister something is wrong with the tree... I feel a very dark energy emanating from it.” she trailed off into silence as her perceptive eyes ever so widened.
Celestia now knew that something was indeed very wrong, she halted herself next to her sister now taking a stern authoritative stance completely locking her neck upright and was meticulously staring at the tree now feeling a cold lifeless energy flowing from it, what made this energy even eerier was they couldn't see it like all other magical energy in Equestria. Celestia then knew that this was magic not from Equestria, she also noticed then that the breeze in the cave was beginning to gradually pick up speed, until all of a sudden it rapidly picked up without warning into a howling gale.
Celestia and Luna braced themselves. Digging their hooves into the cave floor and taking a crouching stance so not to be swept away, both sisters struggling to keep their eyes open in the ensuing maelstrom, their eyes locked on the tree with fear filling their eyes. Without expecting it a bright light exploded in the cave directly in front of the tree, the gale mysteriously gone the sisters now standing up staring at the bright light genuinely shocked at the spectacle before them. The light began to crackle and spark loudly, this wasn't any ordinary light it was lightning frozen in place! The sisters gaze strengthening as the crackling lightning grew more erratic and frighteningly more grim. Something was seriously not right about this at all!
“It's opening!” Luna bellowed out.
The gale force wind returned with more intensity than before, the lightning growing taller than themselves began to slowly tear open, throwing out smaller bolts that were arcing all around the cave floor leaving burn marks everywhere they went across the floor, crackling with furious intensity and sharp ear shattering screeching as they effortlessly danced a burning trail across the floor. The tear now ripping open growing larger and larger revealing an even brighter light that quickly materialized a bleak image of what seemed to be a whole other world entirely or at least its sky. The arching bolts now were gone and only the occasional crackle emanated from the what now seemed to be a portal that was literally torn open in front of them out of thin air. Needless to say, the sisters jaws were wide open, eyes wide and themselves completely speechless for the moment.
Celestia and Luna's gawking faces shifted from fearful surprise to curiosity fairly quickly. The picture before them was indeed bleak at best, but even that didn't begin to describe it, the sky itself was a blood red tinge with black clouds scattered throughout it. Something about the grim sight just gave them shivers down their spines, but then they began to notice something that almost looked like a.......Luna and Celestia looked at each other with grim faces as they realized that something was a beyond massive floating landmass in the sky!The sisters aghast at the sight in front of their eyes just couldn't fathom what was taking place before them.
“ I don't have a good feeling about this Luna we should back away while we can.” Celestia cautioned and Luna nodded in agreement, the began to slowly retreat while facing the tear... suddenly both were transfixed on what seemed to be an object rapidly coming their way!
The object became slightly more visible the closer it got , the sisters focused their eyes. Though the object still a ways away in the sky was just visible enough to make out what it was doing, it seemed the object was fighting something! That wasn't an object that was somepony!
Eyes locked on each other the two mysterious figures were in a deadlock as they free-fell through the crimson sky of a dead planet, one figure its eyes almost as if they were glowing a brilliant blue in the dark sky met the eyes of its attacker a demonic looking figure with the only part of its body shrouded in shadow being its hooded face. The only thing visible from the shrouded face was its eyes...the whites of its eyes glowing with bloodlust and revenge with its pure red irises burning through its shrouded veil of shadow at the blue eyed figure struggling against it. The demonic figure beyond furious that this insignificant insect refused to just die as easily as its teammates did just moments before. As though time had just stopped for them they didn't care about the free falling one bit at all, they were only concerned with making sure that the other didn't come out of this ordeal alive!
The blue eyed figure finally let out in a brutal rage filled assault on the demonic figure without caution, quickly starting out with shoving its legs into its stomach forcing itself up still in its deadly grasp and got an elevated position on its attacker and like a well-oiled piston from a pure Detroit muscle V8 440 big block let loose a never ending barrage square between its red soulless eyes getting quicker and more brutal with each strike! The demonic figure slightly dazed from its barrage was admittedly surprised with its tenacity and mentally gave it credit from one warrior to another but was ever more enraged. It dragged blue eyes back to its level and with incredible velocity rammed its concrete like skull directly into blue eyes forehead! He reared back from the catastrophic blow that was just inflicted upon him, trying to maintain staying conscious the blue eyed figure noticed out of the corner of its eye with its head slumped backwards almost limply it saw a smaller shadow rapidly approaching!
It reacted without pause and grabbed the red eyed demons throat as it was rearing its head back for another headbutt, the smaller shadow had now arrived. It let out a booming howl as it latched its razor sharp fangs into the demonic figures neck growling as it now was violently assaulting the demons neck! The demonic figure let out a howling roar in pain, it grabbed the smaller figure and torn it from its back throwing it past blue eyes. Reacting to this blue eyes released an arm from its death grasp on the demonic figures throat and quickly grabbed a karambit measuring in almost 12 inches from its combat vest and savagely began to attack where his partner had sunk its fangs.
The demonic figure roared in immense pain again it couldn't believe this insect was doing this much damage to it! The demonic figure reacted before it was too late and with one arm swiped blue eyes arms away but not before it sunk its razor-sharp blade in the demons neck one last time, grabbed blue eyes by neck and with its razor sharp gauntlet on its right arm swiped at blue eyes chest tearing it open cutting through a few of its ribs flinging bits of flesh, blood and bone.
The blue eyed figure let a blood-curdling yell, its eyes now beginning to lose their blue color in its irises suddenly dawned a half-cocked grin filled with victory, the demonic figure grew short with blue eyes mocking him as he bled out.
BOOOOOM, BOOOM, BOOOM!!!! The demonic figure reared back without warning as if he was sucker punched multiple times in the gut by blazing fireball's! The demon spread its deathly wings as it was flung back now noticing how blue eyes did it, blue eyes was holding a sawed off semi-automatic shotgun loaded with 12GA dragons-fire slugs!!! worst of all blue eyes face dawned an even more victorious smirk on its face!
Whatever that thing was that pony was fighting they were both letting out blood chilling yells in pain, the sisters swore they even heard a wounded dog in the background! The pony and the demonic figure were having a very fast and brutal fight from what the sisters could surmise, but it happened all so fast that in an instant the pony let out one final blood-curdling yell that was quickly followed by three dim flashes that made a loud retort with each flash!
The demonic figure roared in pain as it spread its ghastly wings and disappeared from sight when it was enveloped in a gigantic ball of fire. Quickly after the demonic figure vanished in the enveloping explosion the floating continent erupted into a violent explosion the even managed to envelop the monstrous floating landmass! This sight was too much for the sisters to handle the were trembling in immense fear of the violent conflict the was unfolding before their eyes! The pony still shrouded in shadow flying at astonishing speed as if it was free falling!
The shadowed figure flew through the tear right behind a smaller shadow that passed through just inches before, both rocketed past the sisters in a blur, the tear closed the instant they flew through. The sound of the shadows crashing to the ground was the only sound in the cave only to be shortly followed by the strange clanging noise of something violently crashing across the cave floor. All was dead silent the sisters beginning to calm themselves realizing that the ordeal had finally ended.
Celestia now composed instantly froze when felt some sort of liquid bead down her face.....she raised her hoof to her muzzle where she now felt the strange liquid and rubbed it off her muzzle. She then lit up the area with her horn....her eyes almost without hesitation narrowed to the size of pebbles, the substance she wiped off her muzzle was blood. Luna almost thrown back by the sight instantly ran her hoofs over her face and through her mane, she stopped on her forehead feeling the same substance, bringing her hoof down to eye level to confirm it, she ghastly looked at her hoof. There was blood on her as well. Both sister now looking at each other with great horror in the eyes glanced at the floor that really held an even more horrifying picture; everywhere the mysterious figure landed on the ground before it slid to a stop left big splotches of blood now staining the cave floor.
The sisters ran to the figures who landed near the entrance knowing they were badly injured. As they approached they realized that yet again they were wrong in the assumption of the mysterious figure being a pony. Celestia looked at Luna.
“Retrieve the guard captains, the physician, and Starswirl the bearded now, our guests need help!”
“Right away my sister!” Luna zoomed off towards the castle frantically beating her wings horrified at the sight trying to wipe the blood off her head mid-flight, she was truly afraid and she was the princess of the night!
Celestia stood by the mysterious figures deciding to try and comfort them “Your all right friend.” Celestia spoke softly “Help is on the way.” Celestia looked at them intently, she was horrified but forced her composer there was so much blood. It was just slowly flowing from the deep lacerations on its chest, the blood just pooling outwards in every direction quickly enough that it gravely terrified Celestia. She had seen violence but never on this level, sure in Equestria Celestia and Luna had dealt with maniacs trying to take over but never to actually murder anypony, this was the coldest thing she had seen in her lifetime, violence like that is the end result of pure evil. She knew things could get bad if evil triumphed but that...that... was unreal she just could understand why any pony would ever want that. This thought lingered in her head terrifying her every second.
“take this...destroy it, let me die.” The figure faintly spoke. Celestia wasn't surprised the figure could speak. After all, it meant it was still alive … or at least for now, but the blatant disregard for its own dwindling life was a shock to her.
“Hang in there friend, I won't harm you, help is on the way just save your strength,” Celestia replied calmingly. The figures lips were moving without sound, it's blood glistening in the mid-afternoon sun that was shining through the cave entrance, Celestia then noticed it clinging to a strange object against its chest. Celestia then knew this horrifying event happened for a reason. Why would the figure want that destroyed why was it almost worth its life? What exactly caused it she didn't know, her feeling that these two needed their help was evident and even more supported by the tears pouring out of figures eyes that were quickly beginning to lose their color as though its eyes colors were bleeding out with its blood.
“Your pain. I can see it. Don't worry you are safe here friend we will figure this out, I promise you this.” Celestia caringly said in a soft tone. She draped her wing over them and laid her head next to the figures head to help comfort it. Whoever they were they needed help and whatever that strange object was it had to have some significance within what was taking place. She grew uneasy as the object coursed with the same dark energy from before the tear opened.
“Why was this happening?” she wondered lost in thought she almost didn't notice Luna's return with the two guards captains and guards. All charging ahead for them Starswirl and the physician close behind the guards. Celestia rose to her hooves now splotched with the figures blood on her white coat she composed herself and gave the guards and the physician their duties to immediately begin triage on their guests. She turned to face Luna and Starswirl with a serious face now with half her muzzle covered in blood from laying her head next to the figures, she nodded to them and they knew this meant Celestia had made up her mind and they nodded in agreement. They slowly trotted back towards the castle of the two sisters, today changed everything they knew.

It was your typical day in Equestria, birds chirping happily, not a cloud for miles it was indeed a beautiful spring afternoon. That was until Discord the lord of chaos interrupted the chirping birds by sweeping them away literally with a broom he materialized. After all, he and Fluttershy had to finish putting up the decorations for the afternoon tea party they were about to have. It had taken them most of the morning to put up Fluttershy's decorations. Now it was time for Discord's part in providing the décor and some music. After all, it wasn't every day they had a tea party with the whole gang and others to boot. With a snap of his claw, a classic picnic blanket big enough for the occasion appeared on the ground in the meadow that was Fluttershy's backyard. Next, a large low sitting round oak table appeared atop the blanket with all the bells and whistles with it. Teapots, assorted goodies, napkins, silverware, and tea cups with saucers. Literally the whole kit and caboodle! Even enough pillows for everypony to sit on appeared, now for the music. Discord thought for a few seconds before snapping his claw again for all to behold Octavia and her small orchestral group in a cozy gazebo with snack bar popped into being.
They were finally done, discord wore a very accomplished face, then proceeded to spin around 180 degrees to face Fluttershy and flung his arms out and yelled “Tadaaa!” now wearing a grin. Fluttershy giggled “Thank Celestia we are done before everypony showed up.” she said in a relieved tone “As long as Pinkie Pie remembers to bring my special cupcakes she promised me, then I too will be happy my fair Fluttershy” Discord replied “I am totally exhausted from all that....work.” he said dreading using the word...work. It actually gave him chills saying that word, but it comes with being reformed in all. “Oh Discord, thank you for all your hard work . But don't you think you're over exaggerating just a scosh?” Fluttershy said before giggling again. Discord now dawned a sheepish look “well maybe I over exaggerated a scosh. It really didn't take long in retrospect.”
Sounds of talking and laughter began to emanate from the road leading to Fluttershy's cottage. Discord's head spun around 180 degrees like an owl to see who it was. “Oh goody, our guest's have arrived!” Fluttershy turned around herself to see the gang arrive. Sure enough, there was Twilight and Spike, obviously accompanied by Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Applejack, and Rarity. Except this time Princess Cadence, Shining Armor, Princess Celestia, Princess Luna and surprisingly the Cutie mark Crusaders were in tow. The gaggle of ponies continued to Fluttershy and Discord thanks in part to Discords explicitly obvious signs strewn along the path.
Discord dawned a very snazzy waiter's getup accompanied by a very dapper mustache and began to show everypony to their respective pillows one by one while Octavia's group softly cued in with an elegant melody. Discord now finished seating everypony, had just come to a realization. That this music was simply... boring. With a slightly annoyed face, Discord was staring at the music group trying to figure out what was missing. Discord raised an eyebrow and held his chin deep in thought. Suddenly his face lit up! He had figured it out and without hesitation snapped his claw.
Just like that, a white pony with a blue multi-toned mane and tail appeared out of thin air. Octavia's group though surprised didn't miss a beat and continued playing, regardless they all were surprised at whom now sat next to them, well all but Octavia, she wasn't the least bit surprised that discord brought her here, he is the lord of chaos for Celestia's sake. The white unicorn mare was easily recognizable not by her backward double quaver cutie mark, but by her iconic black-rimmed purple shades, and earphones with the same musical note as her cutie mark. If that wasn't obvious enough she was accompanied by her gargantuan sound system!
Vinyl Scratch looked at Octavia, she looked back at Vinyl and smirked. “Okay vinyl go ahead and join in just remember to keep the correct tempo this time,” Octavia said, with a grin Vinyl Scratch removed her earphones and listened to the melody. Withing seconds vinyl worked her smooth methodical beat in with ease to match the group.
Discord smiled “Now that's a funky beat.” he said happily, naturally busting a move to the improved beat, but was ever so rudely interrupted by Shining armor.
“ Discord I don't mean to interrupt your display of fresh dance moves... but I think we are all a bit thirsty from the walk over here,” Shining said with a mildly sheepish look. He raised an eyebrow as his rebuttal to Shining Armor, then smiled: “Of course how could I forget.” He replied. Discord picked up the teapot off the table and decided to start with Shining Armor. He tipped the teapot forward over Shining Armor's cup, but nothing came out.
“Hmm, that's strange.” Discord said raising the teapot to eye level and tipped it forward again. Everyone watching Discord intently, much to their surprise when tea began to flow from Applejack's left ear in a perfect arch right into Shining Armor's cup! Shining's jaw went slack. Discord laughed, then proceeded to pour tea for Twilight without pause. This time, the tea poured out of the teapot. Except as Twilight's cup filled tea shot out of Fluttershy's left nostril across the table and without splashing a drop-filled Celestia's cup full. Celestia tried to hold back but just couldn't She erupted into laughter at the spectacle unfolding before them all. Twilight shrugged in relief, glad not to have received any nose or ear tea, Fluttershy even let out a quiet giggle “ Oh Discord your too much.” Discord then appeared standing in the middle of the table, then simply poured tea where he stood. The tea didn't make a mess or splatter, instead filled the Cutie mark crusaders cups without more weirdness. With a snap of his paw, he turned Rarity's sun hat into a filled teacup with saucer, yet Rarity simply looked up, smiled and looked to Discord.
“Nice try dear but you will have to try harder than that to catch a lady like me off guard.”
“I guess so, but perfect posture as always Rarity.” Discord chuckled. Rarity closed her eyes and smiled while levitating the cup and saucer off her head and taking a dainty sip.
“A lady like me must always have perfect posture, even at a casual get together for friends, still nice try though Discord. Better luck next time.” Rarity said laughing before levitating her cup back down to the table. Discord laughed with Rarity and tipped the teapot forward and yet again tea poured out of Applejack's ear though this time it was her right ear. Rainbow Dash's cup was the second ear tea of the day and Rainbow Dash couldn't help but laugh.
“Spike, can I have your assistance?” Discord asked spike.
“Sure with what?”
“Just stand right there.” Discord stepped on Spikes feet and Spikes mouth opened like a trashcan lid, and Discord poured tea down his throat. Discord took his hoof off of Spikes feet when the teapot was empty and his mouth slammed shut, Spike belched but it was Rainbow Dash that had dragons fire erupt from her mouth while she laughed. The fire belt lit the table on fire and everypony else's cups that were empty were instantly filled with tea... Definitely caught off guard everypony stared at each other with blank faces, but then they all erupted into laughter.
Today was a day for everypony to actually just kick back and relax. After all, with the events that occurred with the cutie mark map six weeks ago, it had been a little hectic around Equestria. Map missions, emergencies, royal duties and of course everyponies regular day jobs. They all were just plum tuckered out. So the princesses decided to spend two weeks appointing their top ponies to assume their duties for the next two days to at least ensure all basics were maintained. All appointments and royal meetings moved. With all precautions in place, the princesses were a go to spend the weekend with the whole gang. The laughter began to simmer down now, still giggling Celestia raised her hoof to motion everypony to stop laughing, she had something to say.
“First off thank you Fluttershy for allowing us to partake in one of you and Discord's tea parties, you two out did yourselves,” Celestia said in a very happy tone.
“HEY! Let's not forget to thank Rarity for coming up with the idea in the first place guys. After all, she was the first one to snap from a number of customers she's had lately.” Rainbow Dash blurted in over Celestia. Rainbow noticed what she did and smiled sheepishly at Celestia “Sorry princess didn't mean to cut you off there” Rainbow said.
“That's alright Rainbow Dash that was actually what I was just about to say next, well not quite like that but close enough,” Celestia replied. “Now let's commence with our day off everypony we earned it!” Celestia said loudly.
“Party at Fluttershy's!” Pinkie yelled as she fired a multitude of party cannons. Without hesitation everypony commenced with the Discorded tea party. Twilight and Rainbow Dash were having a great conversation about the next Daring Doo book next to the punch bowl When Discord puts a party together never fear there is a punch bowl near. The Cutie Mark Crusaders were regaling Celestia, Luna, and Cadence with their newest adventure helping Cloudy Daze and Dinky Doo discover their special talents, since the trio of ponies earned their cutie marks, Celestia requested them to write her about the lessons they learn while helping other foals earn one themselves. Meanwhile, everypony else was busy trying to out-dance Discord and Pinkie, the two had won the Ponyville dance-off two weeks ago and everypony else wanted a shot at the trophy.
Near sunset, the rest of the ponies in Ponyville crashed the party. “I thought all of you were going to be here hours ago?” Pinkie said tilting her head to and extreme angle. Derpy hovered over Pinkie “I had to pick up my muffins so I was late delivering the invitations to everypony... my bad” Derpy said with a sheepish smile and a basket of muffins in her hoof. Everypony wanted to see the trio of princesses lower the sun, raise the moon and of course to see Twilight's sonic sparkle boom. After the three alicorns displayed the sunset, moon rise and sparkle boom the day had officially come to a close. The party continued for a few more hours. The Princess squad consisting of Celestia, Luna Twilight, and Cadence were surprised with how casual everypony was being around them. Twilight then read one of the invitations. “Casual party at Fluttershy's off duty princesses present.”
The party ended and the huge crowd of ponies began to disperse and head home. Everypony else decided to do the same. While Discord and Fluttershy stayed home to clean up, though Discord had cleared most of the party remnants with a snap of his claw, Fluttershy straightened out the animal sanctuaries that were disturbed by the party. The rest of Twilight's group headed back toward the castle of harmony. Celestia seemed inwardly distracted by something as she strode through the streets of Ponyville. Applejack, Rarity and Pinkie Pie broke off in the respective direction of their homes. “goodnight Princess Celestia, Luna, Cadence, and Twilight.” Pinkie said and Applejack echoed. “Farewell darlings.” Rarity said a little drunkenly, Discord had secretly spiked a punch bowl and Rarity just happened to be the poor schmuck to find it. Celestia nodded and then lost her thoughts in space again. “ Yeah I am out. Good night and we should do it again.” Rainbow Dash said as she flew off and Celestia waved her goodbye.
Then only the four Princesses were left heading to the castle. Celestia finally shook her head clear for a moment. "No it couldn't be about that day, why would I be thinking about that at a time like this?" Celestia followed Twilight to her weekends bedchamber. “Good night Celestia sleep well.” Twilight bid her former mentor and teacher with a yawn. “sister I shall be awaiting you for breakfast on the morrow.” Luna said as she cantered down the hall, being the Princess of the night had one very big disadvantage and that was being nocturnal, Luna couldn't sleep now even if she tried. Celestia closed the door to her room and headed towards her bed. Her horn lit up as she used her magic to lift her crown off her head, and set it on the nightstand next to the bed. Again her horn lit up as she drew the covers of the bed back. She climbed into bed and draped the blankets on herself, turned off the light, nestled her head into the pillow and drifted off into a deep sleep in mere seconds.
The hallway was dimly lit. A slight breeze was clearly present by the flames in the wall sconces all shifting all in one direction. Celestia was trotting fast enough to cause the breeze in the hallway as she briskly moved through the hallways of her and Luna's castle. She stopped as the blood-curdling screams rang loudly throughout the castle, every time it screams out in pain she just freezes in place and begins to tremble uncontrollably.........the screams made Celestia break down and cry every time.......the pain......Celestia began to think the same thing with every scream......The pain it's going through right now...........is more pain than any one creature good or bad..........should ever have go through.....
Celestia was all but sobbing now, with every scream she felt as though her heart was simply going to shatter from the immense pain its screams brought her. Celestia felt as though she was quickly losing her sanity from today's events. Never, NEVER had she seen anything as gruesome and heartless as what she had seen today. Between the both of them there was no emotion.......they just.....No they were going to kill each other and they were more then fully devoted to their causes.......how......how could anypony bring themselves to commit such an atrocity!?...........their world was dead, as dead as their hearts were in that fight.....Celestia slowly stopped sobbing again and composed herself. Something about how it fought though was what told Celestia it meant them no harm.
She pondered on that thought more and more. The more she thought about it the quicker her composer returned. I can't afford to have a breakdown...not right now, it's a luxury I can't afford. Not when a soul clings to the very edge of life itself. Suddenly Celestia heard something behind her! She spun around to see IT standing behind her! It's body still mangled and torn to ribbons, entrails mostly hanging out blood slowly oozing out like bright red sludge out of most of its wounds. It's hand outstretched still coated in blood screaming in her face at the top of its lungs!!! Celestia's heart sank as she let out a blood-curdling scream!
It was still the dead of night, Celestia's eyes quickly opened as her dream literally scared her awake. She back peddled up against the headboard of the bed in a panic.
“saving me might be your world's destruction Princess of the Sun” It's voice whispered in her ear. Her heavy breathing began to slow down, now realizing she was no longer really in danger. She was still shaken up from the delusion of hearing its voice tell her that. She all but stopped flailing around and sat in bed. She lit the candle on the nightstand and just slumped back into bed sweating from the nightmare of that day. Luna quietly knocked on her door entering and closing the door behind her.
“Sister, did you just dream about what I think you just dreamed about?” Luna asked.
“Yes,” Celestia replied. Luna stared at Celestia with pure fear on her face. Silence fell upon the room Celestia deep in thought. Only one thing was on her mind. This was not just a coincidence it couldn't be, or are they reading to much into this. One thing was clear Celestia wasn't going to sleep for a while longer that's for sure.
