Our story begins in an underground bar somewhere in the northernmost part of ponyville, it was dark and cold yet it was eccentrically decorated which more than made up for its failings in comfort. The air smelt of hormones and alcohol and the only light came from gas lamps on the tables, there was no natural light not even in the day.

In an attempt to make Shadow feel better Soarin and Brae remind him that when nibbles is gone he will still have them to keep him company.

To break the uncomfortable silence that fell on the group soarin asked Nibbles and Shadow if they had any plans before Nibbles leaves for his training camp. Shadow replies “This was our plan really, just hanging out with our friends and having some drinks.”
Brae begins to speak and as soarin begins to try to stop him he spurts out that Nibbles and Shadow should try doing something romantic.
“Like what?” says Nibbles.
Soarin looks to brae “like our first proper date?” he says.
“Yeah, those stains are still in our bed sheets.” chuckled Braeburn
Shadow pipes up “what are you suggesting?” he asked looking slightly concerned.
