The Spell

"Are you sure about the is Twi?" Rainbow Dash was hovering in the air slightly, just so her head was above the rest of everypony elses. "I mean, Are you SURE nothing will go wrong? I still wanna see my past and stuff, but, could it make something like Discord come back to life?" Dash had been quite unsure about the spell, even when she heard about it in the first place, but she couldn't let her know that she was scared...

"Dash, I promise, nothing will go wrong. And if it does, I'll give you ten bits." Twilight replied dryly. The unicorn had been planning all the previous night for this spell, she was about to peform it! (With some help from Rarity, of course.) "Girls, Are you ready to see your past selves?" Twilight lifted her forelegs in the air for effect.

"Sure thing sugarcube, can't wait!" Applejack giving her usual smile. The rest of the group nodded excitedly, and Pinkie Pie bounced, occasionally defying gravity because, well, she's Pinkie.

The group had come up to a hill quite far from the outskirts of Ponyville to test this spell that Twilight had been on about for the past few days. Rarity had decided to help Twilight with the spell, seeing as it was to strong a spell for one unicorn. The rest of them were hyped about the idea of their past selves, save for Rainbow Dash.

"Right then, Rarity? Are you ready?" Twilights head turned to the unicorn in question.

"Yes dear, I'm quite ready!" Rarity walked forward and stopped face-to-face with Twilight.

"Okay, just focus your energy into me, okay?"

"Yes, Yes. I know." the dress maker rolled her eyes. The two took a deep breath, then nodded at each other. They closed their eyes, bowed their head so then their horns were crossed. The blue aura of Rarity's magic began to form around Twilights horn, mixing with the purple aura of her magic.

"Nnngh." Twilight grunted, the power already trying to break lose and overwhelm her. The others got worried, that sound didn't make them much more confident. She grunted again, this time very stressed and and obviously strained.

"ACK!!" She'd lost control, she broke free from Rarity and began to float in the air. Light from all direction was being absorbed by her horn. The power was overflowing, she couldn't hold much longer. "AHHHHHHH!!" A blinding orb of light erupted from the unicorn and engulfed the terrified mares. The orb of light expanded so it almost completely covered the hill, still as bright as when it first formed. Twilight let out another cry and the orb of light just disipated in a shockwave. They all blacked out.

"CRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAP!!" Shadowflash fell from the sky and faceplanted the floor. "Ow." His group of friends were in hysterics, even Flare who rarely showed emotion. "Grrr. Why did you put me off Cyclone!?" It was no use though, his dark blue friend was rolling on the floor crying in laughter.

"Ahahahahaha! Oh, Celestia, that was funny! Best flier around my flank!" Cyclone was still chuckling, but had calmed down and was wiping the tears from his eyes. Suddenly, his ear twitched. "Guys? did you hear that?"

"What?" Replied Emerald, the white maned, green unicorn.

"I dunno, it sounded like somepony was in pain" Cyclone looked around, they were halfway up a hill they usually hung around on, the birds were singing, and there was a face shaped crater where Shadow had crashed. Repeatedly. "Flare did you hear it?"

"No." The group of colts just pondered. Their group consisted of six: Shadowflash, Cyclone, Emerald, Flare, Vinatge, and Jumper. Shadow and Cyclone were pegasi, Emerald and Vintage were Unicorns, and Jumper and Flare were earth ponies. Each of them were distinctly different in their own way. Shadowflash was pretty laid back and funny, and usually finds it hard to tolerate a certain other pegasus in Ponyville, a cyan pegasus that gets on his nerves rather easily. Cyclone was, to say the least, lazy. Although, when challenged, he won't take losing. He was a dark blue pegasus with a light gray mane with lighter blue highlights. Emerald was the quiet one, usually timid around others, but bold when around his friends. Vintage was the perfectionist of the group, he would leave anything less then perfect, he was orange coated with a pale blue well-treated mane. Flare was the silent one, strong, fast, and massively big in size, he doesn't let anyone challenge him without letting them know what they're getting into. He was a white stallion with a dark red mane. Jumper was the colt who organizes the happenings, such as parites and expeditions to random places. He was a pale purple with a dark blue mane.

Suddenly, the group turn their heads to a cry of what sounded like a mare in pain. "AHHHHHHHH!"

"What is that!?" Vintage points his hoof at a rapidly growing wall of light, heading straight for them. They all yell at the top of their lungs, each of them beginning to run away, but it was to late. The light had engulfed them and they all collapsed on the floor. When the light cleared each of them looked around, they ALL felt different.

"Emerald, what did you do?!"

"I did nothing!"

"DON'T LIE TO ME!!"

"Look up... there..." The group of colts began to stumble, before Emerald collapsed he pointed at a hill where six filles laid on the floor, unconscious. Another blinding light appeared on the top of the hill and a tall elegant figure appeared. "P-Princess..." They were passing out. "Ahhh... horse apples..." All of them fell to the floor, the spell they had been caught up in was to much for them to stay awake.

Flare woke up to the sound of shouting. He lifts his head up slowly, preparing to shout at the intruders himself. As he looks up, he sees a group of six fillies, they were shouting about some spell they messed up. Oh. YOU WERE THE ONES WHO DID THAT SPELL. Flare prepared to launch out of his bed and yell at the fillies, when he felt a hoof push him down. It was Shadowflash.

"Leave it. We'll sort it out when the rest of them are awake." His voice was noticeably higher, and the odd crack really made Flare chuckle inside. The fillies shot a look back at Flare, who looked all to pissed at them, they all backed away. He heard them whispering things like 'Is that one of them? Why is he looking at us like that? It was an accident! I like parties.' He could admit, some of those were relevant, but 'I like parties?' That must be the infamous Pinkie Pie. His catches on to one earth pony, who seems to be staring at him longingly, which kinda creeped him out. ...Really? I've been here three minutes and some filly is already staring at me weirdly. Also, where is 'here!?' He thought. Looking around he sees all of his friends in a bed, Cyclone was no suprise, he usually found him asleep in his garden. He spots a scroll on his bedside table, it beared the Royal Seal. He gulped audiably, and read the letter.

Dear Flare and co,

During the events of the week, you and your friends

were caught in a spell one of my students had mixed

up. The spell, being rather powerful, transformed both

you and your friends and her and her friends into your

teenage forms. This is because she mixed it up with a

simmilar spell she had studied before with me. The

reason you are currently at Canterlot Boarding School

is because your school reports from when you were at

school before, showed you could do with some more

education in other subjects than physical education.

You will be and your friends will be in the same classes

as Twilight and her friends.

I know your friends Shadowflash and Cyclone have short

fuses when it comes to some of them, so I will entrust you

to keep them in order.

Have Fun, and remember, this is a wonderful oppurtunity for

you, going back to school!
