//-------------------------------------------------------// Is time Broken? -by Lunasservant1985- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Not Exactly but... //-------------------------------------------------------// Not Exactly but... Princess Celestia had just finished raising the sun over her kingdom, as she often did over the past thousand years...'A thousand years?' She thought to herself as she trotted over to a cabinet she kept tucked away in a corner of her bed room. "It's been that long for me, but how have things been for you my little filly-hood toy?" She said to the cabinet as she opened it up. Inside the china cabinet was a tiny mirror encased in a horseshoe frame, inside were sets of china statues of the so called ''human'' inhabitants of the mirror verse. Under each one, was a little hour glass with sand ever so slowly trickling from each end to the next. ''Now let's see, which one to change and what to leave the same hmm?'' She said as her horn glowed softly making just a few grains of sand fly back into the hourglasses and some fell into them. Celestia did this to the mirror verse mainly because it was a world she'd had a hoof in creating. The mirror verse was her little pet project that she had a liking for, she had created it a long time ago as a test of her undying prowess as a young Allicorn, of course once it was fully developed, her then parents King Solaris and queen Nebula had asked her what she intended to do with her little experiment. ''They said I couldn't take care of this place for three months, and look at it now.'' Celestia said happily as the mirror, while not powerful enough to serve as a doorway to this wold, granted her a chance to check up on it. She took note of the pony versions of her subjects that had been aged to be students at her mirror verse equivalent of her kingdom, the so called Canterlot High. She watched as the human versions of her little ponies went about day by day, wondering if she should have let a few grains of their sand move forward. Then she remembered the last time she did that. It had been after seeing how a few of those in the role of Canterlot High students were...unhappy with that role. ''Oh human Carrot Cake, the way my other Iron Will treated you, only made the youth I endowed you with only the more insufferable to live through, now that you're more akin to the pony version of yourself you're much happier are you not?'' She asked the China Carrot Cake figure before placing it in front of said mirror, granting her a more in depth look into human Carrot Cake's life. Human Carrot Cake woke from his bed next to the mirror verse version of Cupcake, kissed her lovingly, got ready and spent the day tending to Sugar Cube Corner, mixed with his duties as a father to the baby Cake twins, no different from the one of Mr. Cakes here in Equestria. ''Honey?! Was that order for a hundred and ninety one or a hundred and ninety two brownies?'' He asked the blue and pink frosting like haired human Mrs. Cakes. ''Uhhh A hundred ninety two cinnamon bun.'' Mrs. Cakes human self said to Mr. cakes. Celestia sighed and thought about the inner mechaniations of her Equestrian domain, the pegasus ponies taking care of the weather, she raised the sun and Luna the moon. Just as it always had been. Ponies lived in her world, the grew old like that Granny Smith, when time had passed, and so many burdens of age and wisdom had passed onto them, and passed on to the greater reaches of the universe when Equestria had nothing left to offer. Granny Smith needed only one bite of the royal gardenia's golden apples, and she'd be as young as the princess herself. Aside from the years and time, Celestia almost never altered anything in the mirror verse. ''Mr. Cakes? Do you miss your days as a youth a Canterlot High? Miss the days of the biggest concern on your mind being the math test on Friday?'' She asked the little China figure of Mr. Cakes, as she slowly made a few grains of sand fly up in mirror verse, his hair gre slightly longer and scruffier as it was as youth. Celestia did the same to Mrs. Cake, and ber pink frosting hair also grew longer and poofier but not so much for the couple to notice..yet. It wouldn't be fully noticeable unti the rising of the morning sun in their world. ''I will make you both have a day, or two as the ones you've made so happy since I aged you, if it doesn't satisfy you both...and a few others I suppose, then I'll have you changed back at your desire. She watched as the human Cakes day ended and they kissed at the humans went to sweet unmodified by a being like Luna, sleep. The world of Equestria already is confusing enough without thinking too hard about it, and the mirror verse isn't all that less confusing from being under Celestial's control. Time and age being a force without rhyme or reason in one place, and looping indefinitely until Celestia was satisfied with how it was. Able to bend and control it as she saw fit. Even if her will for mirror Equestria didn't make a lot of sense, but maybe just maybe, that's all for the best of stories to happen in Celestia's crazy little world beyond the glass. ''Sleep my little humans, and awaken as fresh and new as I do.'' She said closing the cabinet as she turned to look outside her bed chamber window. Her lovely sun had set, and her sister was raising the moon. ''Dear me! I've spent the entire day with my little world!'' She said in surprise. An entire day gone, somany important things missed, her royal duty neglected! Oh well tomorrow was another day, and the looks on the mirror verse Mr. and Mrs. Cakes, and many other faces come the next day.
