On an Island, off the coast of Manehattan, lies a facility that is making something to fascinate all of pony-kind.

Applejack and Fluttershy are struggling to keep their businesses afloat without major income. Things look grim, until Billionaire inventor Dr. Hooves offers to sponsor them if they inspect a new animal park he is building. So along with so-called genius Trixie and foals Apple Bloom and Scootaloo, the two find themselves in Cryptid Park. The park is filled with mythical creatures long since thought extinct; such as Timberwolves, Parasprites, Cockatrices, Sea-Monsters, and even Dragons.

But things take a turn for the worst when a catastrophic storm knocks out the park's main power generators. With no power to keep the spell generators active, the creatures are able to escape from their cages. Now the group must find a way off the island and back to the mainland. All while not being eaten by the newly freed creatures.

And some of them are very hungry.
