Marked for rewrite, please read: After writing Pulse, and then it's sequel Apathy, I feel I have improved a lot in terms of writing quality. So I've decided to entirely rewrite this after finishing some of my smaller stories and half finished ideas. I'm sorry for the few people who like this as it is.

A whole portion of planet Earth scarred. Burned. Almost every life inside the radius of the blast vaporized instantly, the the few who survived almost all killed from the lingering unstable thaumaturgic energies left over. A magical big bang, all magic for an entire world, and entire universe, compressed and left dormant for all of time, since before the birth of life, awoken and let to wreck havoc across the universe unless it is stopped.

The sirens, struggling to live, dying of magical starvation; desperate. Adagio, their eldest, left with no other choice but to cause this catastrophe, to save the lives of those closest to her. But at such a cost, she is left with doubt. As the time for her sister's survival draws nearer and nearer to it's end, and the magical energy from the birth of thaumaturgy in an entire universe still no where near stable enough to harvest or feed off of, what else can she do to help the two she cares so deeply about?
